[Q] Screen glitched, Then the phone stopped working

OK, This is weird, I was in the metro, Chatting with a friend on Facebook, When the screen glitched, I didn't just freeze, It also glitched, I use a beta kitkat ROM so I am kind of used to the screen freezing situation, I pull out the battery, put it back in, boot the phone and it's all good, but in the last time, when I did the same the phone didn't boot up, didn't vibrate, nothing, tried charging it and trying again, still nothing.
If anyone could help me I would be very thankful.

try connect with usb without battery. can your pc detect any devices??

mine detects OMAP 4440, and it doesn't install (no digital signature) (Win 8)

Omapflash the only way for you. read carefully.
# 1. run omap4460.bat in pc
2. pull out your phone battery first
3. connect with usb without battery.
4. when pc detected your device, put the battery back( usb still connect)

First try this: pull out the battery. Let it sit for about 15 minutes. Then plug in the charger to the phone and then put the battery back in.

your phone on hardbricked. that why pc only detected as omap (your chipset). maybe your system & data partition corrupted or wiped.
Omapflash just help u to boot ~ bootloader. do you got any nandroid backup before?

still not boot up to bootloader even for a while? maybe incorrect setup in pc, or device driver. Omapflash work for gnex so far.

I feel for you. My phone just did the same thing. I get Unknown command d though, I don't know if they're possiby the same error but truncated. Regardless I can'f find any way to trouble shoot it.

HELP! Fully Bricked LG G3 D855 Blank Screen

Hi,
I think I mistakenly flashing the Fastboot partition with all wrong version of Boot, Recovey and the rest of other partition.
Now phone is only turn with BLANK BLACK SCREEN, but USB Connection still active with COM assigned at port 41 (saw under device manager).
Anyone have idea how to flash it back to work, please .....

Search for latest stock rom 29 at the end of version number download an unzip to desktop.
Flash in Flashtool,at first take battery out and and flash only the bootloader uncheck everithing else !!!,when finisht disconect phone ,put battery in ,now in flashtool flash whole rom

Does your PC recognize your phone as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 or something else?

If PC doesn't recognize your device as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008, you need to JTAG your device, or short pin.

You have to disassembly your device.

My LG G3 is not recognised as stated above but as Android device LGE MOBILE ADB INTERFACE and i have no issues on Win 10.
The phone is also imidiatly detected by LG Pc Suite

But when I remove the back cover, I see another stainless steel cover on those chip/board, how to remove it? Too risky!

Computer doesn't recognize anything... I tried all 4 ports (2 ports 3.0, 2 ports 2.0), with original cable and non-original(Sony) cable.

No, device manager detects nothing. I have windows 10 (i tried in normal mode and test mode). And if I connect my G3 Beat computer crashes because of LG driver.( I tried different versions of LG drivers and always the same crash(error)).

I think crashing driver due to window .Try to connect ur device at window 7 .Hope device manager show serial port or qhbulk.I was have same problem my g3 but i resolve by short wire method.Good luck

Bro firt change ur window then install ur variant driver and qhbulk driver.After that if device manager show qhsub bulk port or something like then all problem will solve.If ur device manager show only lge serial port then use short wire method.:good:

htc desire d820n hard bricked

Hey guys i how are you doing?!!!
I have a htc desire d820n that was soft bricked and can boot only to fastboot when I tried to install a stock rom via sdcard it said that the zip file is to big and didnt install the rom then my phone was hard bricked and didn't turn on at all (not even to htc logo) and I downloaded 2 stock roms which were in a zip file and when i try to open them on my computer it says that the archive is corrupted (an unexpected end of archive) the good thing is that when i connect it to the pc it install a qualcomm driver (Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM5)) please help me.

I had disconnected the battery, but without any results.

All started when the phone isn't capable to install the official update to 6.0.
I decided to try other ROM's, opening the boot loader and installing the TWRP recovery. All goes well, but the ROM that are working better (Tomal - Discovery 2.00) had problems with my LTE networks.
Reading one of your post, I started to try to install the official 6.0, but I forgot to wipe the system before relock the bootloader.
After trying flash different RUU files through fastboot I used one from easy firmware: (0PFJIMG_A51_UL_K44_DESIRE_SENSE60_Orange_ES_1.28.75.5_Radio_01.01.010_U10305041_08.01.41222_2__combined_signed.zip) that belong to my CID (Orange Spain)
Then the phone don't respond to anything...
I will uninstall all drivers and programs and restart according your instructions...

Solution: I will buy a used 820 with broken screen and then change the bricked motherboard myself. The price here is around 40 eur.

Yes. I did it.
I'm running Windows 10. As you know this OS not showing Ports (COM and LTE) in Device Manager. I added manually a COM port, (COM3 in this case), but appears only the yellow signal (!) related to errors.

The phone seems fully dead...
Only a red led blinking when the usb cable is connected to PC or a charger.

Clamp all 3 buttons and hold 1 minute,and try different variants combinations with holding the volume buttons + and - and the power button,with the connection of the phone to the computer and to the power unit

I tried all possible combinations of buttons, and nothing...
Any idea?

i'm tried WPinternals, WDRT,some cmd prompt codes , the main problem is PC didn't shows Qualcomm Bootloder

is not need to show qualcomm bootloader (if i remember).. only imported is to not have conflict in drivers
just use tutorial posted in post #4
also in all tutorials say to use "Drivers_X2_Flash_Emergency" but this not helped to me, i used Drivers_Lumia_WP8x_2016-06.7z (from link in tutorial). have Windows 10 x64 PC
for step 2 download files from lumiafirmware.com
also, is little confusing for step 4 converting bin to hex but i downloaded hex file from lumiafirmware.com and worked for lumia 925...
important steps:
-drivers
-WDRT
-HEX.hex and msimage.mbn
- now you use command (put location and real names for hex and mbn file)
thor2 -mode emergency -hexfile HEX.hex -mbnfile msimage.mbn -orig_gpt
- remove battery
- put battery
- connect phone and you must get red screen on phone (this important)
- flash vpl file (enter location and name where vpl and other downloaded ROM files is)
thor2.exe -mode vpl -maxtransfersizekb 1 -vplfile C:\****************
-when done screen must change to green
- use commend
thor2 -mode rnd -bootnormalmode
and thats all

this lumia phones never been hard bricked! you can fix boot loader without battery too thor is best way to fix bootloader....

Find in pcb testpoint or resistor cpu pin# SDC1_CLK first remove battery and usb cable too. short with ground. SDC1_CLK plugin usb cable and battery u will be see in Device Manager QHSUSB_DLOAD. 90008 com device. then leave to short with ground
