Looking for stock Lollipop or Marshmallow ROM for us990 - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Title. I just want a ROM to flash that gives me the stock google experience for either Lollipop or Marshmallow, Marshmallow would be better but I honestly don't care. I mainly just want to get rid of this LG skin from my android and would like a stock google experience like what the Nexus's have. I've been looking for thread with some directions to ROMs but alas, nothing yet. I'm not sure where I could find one, nonetheless for a US Cellular device. So basically just want a Google experience rather than an LG experience.
Thanks!

[Q] Any KitKat 4.4.4 custom roms out there ?

Did the G3 even get 4.4.4 ?
Just searched for the term 4.4.4 but not a lot showed up in the results. Not had this G3 long, still not sure I even like it after coming from a Nexus 4 with 2 years trouble-free usage, the lag from this G3 occasionally annoys me and I feel like going back to my Nexus 4.
This is, I value xposed framework, app compatibility, and stability more than just having the latest thing. Lollipop isn't bad, chupa chups(?) Is great but not enough to give up the above.
Another thing, I still don't have any updates showing up in software updates, on 4.4.2 UK 855 G3 on 3 network, only LG ones.
So, are there any decent 4.4.4 ROMs? And would a dirty flash over 4.4.2 be OK?
Many thanks for any help.
John.
There are, as of now, no stock or custom 4.4.4 based ROMs. LG skipped 4.4.4 and went from 4.2.2(or 4.4.2, please correct me if I'm wrong)->5.0.
Went straight from 4.4.2 to 5.0
Theres the cloudyg3 rom (the previous version of the rom is kitkat) but with no further development since it went to lollipop.
You have to go with the upgrades ,i dont like myself LL but we have to move forward
I appreciate that we cannot dwell in the past but Lollipop on G3 just ain't ready for primetime, and could be many updates away from getting there. Kitkit runs better than most admit, has the best compatibility, best battery life, and has xposed.
With some tweaks, scripts installed such as the mem script, and lots of bloat removed or disabled, KitKat runs really well. And I believe there can be more done to it, more tweaks, more bloat disabled - I still see quite a few apps running that could possibly be removed.

Best LG G3 ROM

Hi,
I have the F400K variant currently running on stock Lollipop.
Just wondering what people think is the best ROM for me to flash.
I'm debating AndroidHD and CloudyG3 since those seem to be the big two, but would consider other ROMS like CM (but no official support at the moment).
ROMs nowadays have built-in updates without having the need to flash via a computer, right? I haven't used an Android phone since the original Optimus G, so I'm very out of loop.
Thanks.
There is no best rom.
ps. thread will get locked
"ROMs nowadays have built-in updates without having the need to flash via a computer, right? I haven't used an Android phone since the original Optimus G, so I'm very out of loop."
There's a very small chance somebody is going to spoonfed you every detail and everything you need to know about this device on the forums. Please look through the XDA forums if you have any questions or simply use Google.
Like DelBoy said, there is no best ROM because tastes differ. Flash whatever you like. There is no good or bad.

Hi,
I searched already on XDA as well as on the LGG3 subreddit and found no threads such as the like, and therefore made this posting.
In no way am I asking to be spoonfed "every" detail, I simply asked two questions.
But thank you for your insight. I'm going to give CloudyG3 a go.

[q] lolipop update

Salutations! Im wondering if it is a good idea for me to upgrade to Lolipop on the galaxy Tab S T800. Right now I am running stock rom, only because I still havent figured out how to get some good custom roms on my the device. My biggest concern though in upgrading is losing the ability to be able to use customs roms in the future if i choose to do so. I am still frustrated for updating my Galaxy s4 and having to use safestrap and being limited with which roms I could install. Is this a similar situation, that I will face if I do the upgrade. Also I havent found any good youtube vids walking me through how to get some good customs roms on the tab S.
Kind Regards!
Not much roms makers this days for our devices. Well IMO its ok to update to lollipop because the Rom is smooth makes everything snappy. As said in the thread there were those who are able to downgrade back to kitkat for some reason, so your bootloader wont be locked. And just wait lollipop roms will pop out soon

Stock ROM 5.0.2 from Samsung officially canceled! But...?

Do you think that there is a possibilty to get the official Stock Firmware files from Samsung?
They said, that the Note 2/LTE does not pass the final test because of touchwiz. Would there be a possibilty to get that think without that touchwiz crap?
I don't think we are getting lollipop. But you can always get a custom ROM like Ivan melers CyanogenMod or utkarsh_Gupta's CyanogenModX. Personally I'm on CyanogenModX and its way better than stock (except maybe for the camera). Everything works very well including bluetooth and the phone is generally faster and snappier. I cannot remember when I was on touchwiz. And we are sure to get marshmallow too because of the talented developers that we have.

Need a little help folks.

Hello all,
Not new at all to rooting and roms, the problem I'm having is trying to figure out what I might need to do in order to get my phone up and running the way I want. I'm currently rooted running Android version 4.4.4. I'm still on the stock TouchWiz. I was wondering if there are any roms out there for this android version. All I can really seem to find on the site are 5.0 and above. I really don't want to upgrade if I don't have to, but I really want something highly customizable if it exists. There have always been plenty of great roms out there for Samsung devices...was hoping maybe someone here might be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks to all in advance!
Look in the development section. You'll have to drill down but there are Kitkat roms there.
Your missing out on some great stuff staying on Kitkat.
