I just picked up a new T-Mobile 10 yesterday, I unlocked it, rooted it, and installed LeeDroid ROM, but no S-Off yet, will wait for CM13 to come for this device before doing that. I run Nova launcher with stock Android icons, and Xposed apps to make this a more Nexus looking and function style phone. I also run a bunch of stock Google apps, like Google Phone, Google Contacts, Google Messenger, etc...
First off, with this ROM, and the major debloating I did with Titanium Backup and Root Explorer, I have this thing slimmed down and running like a champ, super smooth, and barely any programs running in the background, which I know I'll get kick butt great battery life now
Few questions and comments please;
- Lock screen, wow not a fan at all. Why does this weather thing keep showing "unavailable" I don't want weather on my lock screen at all. Can I get rid of that ? As well as the app shortcuts on the lock screen, I want nothing on there, is there a setting somewhere to have zero apps there ?
- I enabled Nav keys like a Nexus device, but not digging it, takes up too much screen space for me. I went back to the stock captivate keys, but is there an app to turn off the backlight on the keys permanently ? I know Samsung Galaxy phones have an app in the Play Store to disable to backlight. Also is there is a way to swap the keys ? Put the back function on the right side instead ?
- Gallery ? Where's the gallery for photos I took, or downloaded wallpapers ?
- Lock screen wallpaper change ? I want the lock screen wallpaper different from the home screen ?
Thanks.
Best DPI setting for this phone ? Just stick with stock, or is there a better recommended DPI ?

Wasn't a fan of the stock lock screen. So i deleted HTC Lock Screen .apk, and rebooted, giving me a stock Android basic lock screen now.

Second, no quite sure, but the backlight should be able to turned off via kernel side modification. And on-screen button will be swappable soon in future release.
Third, while you are using google photo, swipe from left to right and select device folders.
Last one, go settings- personalize- edit current theme- lockscreen Wallpaper.

There should be no dependencies.
However try integrating it into the firmware (it was designed to work from /system/app)- ICS does restrict launcher behaviour if it is not a system app (like for Apex- you can't put a widget from Drawer if it's a user app)

No, it is for all screen sizes (well, maybe except qvga but I didn't test this)
Like Trebuchet Concept, Looking Forward
Once I figured out how to use it, I kind of like the minimalist approach. Dragging app icons and widgets to the screens is much quicker than click, click, find, click, ... and the widget re-sizing dot feature touted in Jellybean is already there (but can be applied asymmetrically for some strange results).
However, this thing is still primitive. No properties except wallpapers.
I put on adw (former XDA launcher) just to have a more usable system. I do not look for fancy eye-candy like go. Just some simple properties like:
Grid density--I like fitting more icons on the page (I find the adw refitting not the best so leave that unchecked).
Along with this, might need the widget auto-refit idea from Jellybean.
Number of home screens (elementary).
Last but not least, a backup and restore.
Another interesting idea I got by accident in another launcher: superimpose icon over larger widget. When clicked, takes precedence, of course. Since screen real-estate, especially in smaller phones, is at a premium, this could be a "killer."
Two bugs I found:
Possible to place two icons in same place on app bar. Embarrassing.
Widgets did not "come back" after reboot sometimes.
Got a Nice Version!
There are multiple versions around for download, without any systematic way of choosing other than: The Biggest Has More Features Implemented. I found a 10 meg version in a flash-able zip that has most of what I wanted already there!
Still needs a backup and save, and important: way of resetting as the default launcher
The general widget re-sizing works great, even re-positioning to a halfway spot so the re-sizing makes sense. Great.
Minor bugs around:
The news and weather widget re-sizing works incorrectly. ADW does it fine.
Icon label text is cut off (at least on 5-row view). Vertical padding makes it worse. Needs be tucked in closer to the icon.
I might assume that a somewhat larger apk is around somewhere with more features and fixes. Once I can get it again as default launcher, I will play with it some more.
It did not passed on my 7 inch tablet :-( There is margins at the bottom and top with a height of regular icon size.
Verstuurd van mijn Qware Tablet Pro3 7" met Tapatalk
Warning! This has been developed and tested on Galaxy Nexus. It should work fine on SIII, but have a backup, just in case something goes wrong (can't imagine what)
Today I got a little bit bored and decide to make this simple app. As the name says, it allows to put the phone in Standby (Lock) with the touch of app's icon. I know that there are many many apps that do this, but maybe in the future I could add other options to it. So far it seems to work fine, I tested it with Jellbro latest nightly and works like a charm. Maybe I am too lazy, but because my phone is on the desk most of the day, I find it not very convenient to press the Power button...

Changelog for version 1.4:
1.4
- added Tasks feature
- on some ROM versions the screen my try to turn itself on again after lock, the app will double check and try to lock it again. Please provide feedback if it still does not work.
- minor graphic tweaks
You can find it on Google Play at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alinberce.standbytouch
Feel free to give me suggestions . Also a high rating on Google Play would help. Thanks.
I am using the app and haven't got any "wake screen" events. So hopefully works as expected.
I was thinking of a feature:
1. set an interval in seconds, let's say 60
2. set in the app, Enable touch screen to wake
3. in you press the screen on this interval, the phone awakes.
This of course with the cost of battery life....
What do you say, is is useful or not ?
works but not exactly like power button .
screen flashes white for a couple ms
but like the other functions
(just wondering whether you make a setting so you can choose whether or not to put device into deep sleep ) prob stupid function coz u always want ur device to go into deep sleep when screen off
thanks

No flashes for me, screen goes immediately off when i press icon, nice Ui look good also. I made swipe gesture to nova launcher, when i swipe up with 2 fingers, screen goes off.
Thanks.
on uninstalling my phone does not autolock anymore, neither does the screen time out, tried on ics, not happy with that, also with the software it would lock the phone on toggling but however it would not turn the screen off, not pretty happy.
@cletusarrarr I am sorry but I can't understand what you said. The app has nothing to do with screen time out or any other system settings.
May I ask what you use for the circle selector ?
Looks great
Thanks @Tolriq... the circle ideas came to me sudden and I've made it from scratch. There is no control I've used. Basically there are 2 custom views, a smaller one with the hour circle and a bigger one with the minutes circles, with some touch and rotation events. Glad you like it, I haven't seen anything like it in any other app. Somehow I think that there are still tweaks to be made, maybe, sometimes it's easy to go wrong by pressing unintentionally on the other one.
Thx! 5 star given!
But still sometimes the screen come back briefly b4 it locks again. I read comments in screen off fx that it doesn't hv this problem on s3. Maybe u can check it out if u hv time. Meanwhile I really enjoy ur work coz the design of the icon is so cool!

I have encountered this screen shown in some ROMs, in another it didn't appear (this on my Galaxy Nexus). The app only accesses a standard android function to lock the screen, without any bells and whistles. I could not find why it was happening like that, so I just try to make a relock after half of a second (just in case the screen turns on).
Thank you very much for your kind workds.
It's perfect. Love the simplicity of the icon.

Thanks a lot. If you guys have any ideas for features, please let me know.
I've just released a new version in the market. Unfortunatelly it does not have new features as I've been really busy in the last few months but includes two important things:
- there is no more white screen + app's icon when pressing the app's icon, just before the screen shuts down
- I added compatibility with JB 4.2
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alinberce.standbytouch
I have also released a refreshed version of my babies app, I'd love to hear some feedback from those of you who have small babies (1 to 3 years old):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34258314#post34258314
Hi guys,
I have released a new version of the app. I have removed the Tasks feature as it wasn't too helpful and added Sleep Mode. So basically, the Sleep Mode shows for a brief moment (the time you set in Settings) 2 icons which allows you to switch off Sound/Wi-Fi/Data.
Here is how it works:
1. Go to Settings -> Zzzzzz Mode -> Set the interval in hours when you want the icons to be displayed. Set the milliseconds to be displayed and check the toggles you want to disable
2. Next time you press the StandBy icon you will see 2 icons on the screen. The moon icon puts the phone to standby and toggles off the checked things from settings. The sun icon, simply turns them on again and closes, without going into standby.
Any feedback is gladly received.

Published to Google Play, Here
(Attached v1.2.2, v1.2.3)
This gets rid of the lockscreen widgets and camera on the homescreen on Android 4.2 or higher.
If you have root, you can disable the bold-hour clock widget from the action bar menu, under 'Clock Hack'. (since 1.2)
The app is completely free. I don't foresee adding anything much to this app (I could add a couple of toggle widgets).
This is a lightweight app at 80KB.
There's a known issue under 4.2.2:
With the clock hack disabled, the clock widget toggles between the bold hour clock and the non-bold hour clock every other unlock. If your device is rooted, you can use the clock hack to get the device to consistently display the non-bold hour clock. Otherwise, there isn't anything I can do for you immediately. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I had no control over this.
Disable widgets and/or camera access on the lockscreen under Android 4.2.
Usage:
1) Run application
2) Make selections, and press activate
3) In the 'Activate device administrator' screen, choose 'Activate'
4) Verify settings, and press 'Apply'
5) To change settings, either press the 'Reset' button or hit the back key from the app to return to the setup screen
Uninstall:
To uninstall, uncheck the application from the 'Device Administrator' list under 'Security' in 'Settings'.
Privacy:
I do not collect any personal information with this completely free application.
No permissions other than device administrator required.

Thanks! The flashing widget placeholder on the lockscreen was annoying as hell.
This app succeeds where stock Android has failed. :good:
Thank goodness...
The lockscreen was seriously driving me nuts. I hated seeing that widget box every time I turned it on. Thank you for providing a way to turn it off. I just wish Google had made it optional in the first place.
Now, if you could just help me change that ugly, ugly clock font. :good:
It might be possible to change the default clock as more devs support lockscreen widgets, because I think it's just a widget there...
Looks good I am going to have to try this out.

Installing. The lockscreen changes haven't impressed me much.
works on Nexus 7
THANK YOU!
installing NOW.
I'll test it for you on Nexus S, send me the apk via PM or open it on Google Play.
Thanks for the report for the Nexus 7. I checked out some videos and realized that tablets don't have a camera swipe gesture on the lockscreen. Checking the 'camera' option doesn't really hurt anything though, at least as of the currently available Android API.
Functionally the app is not going to change much. The icon is hideous, but I know it's annoying to have to update for something minor like that, so that's not coming until there's a good idea for something that needs to be in the app.

Allow Clock Replacement Widget?
Thanks for getting this app up so quickly!
I know you're probably not going to add much to it, but I have one request. Is it possible to make it work with clock replacement widgets like the "Fixed 4.2 Clock Widget" (can't link to it in the Play Store because I haven't posted 10 times yet).
That widget fixes the weird bolded-hour clock thing Google decided to do for 4.2, but I can't use it if I disable widgets with your app. If there was a way to disable the addition of new widgets (swiping to the left) but still allow a replacement widget on the primary lock screen, that would be perfect.
Would it be possible to disable Google Now? I'd really appreciate that ability. How did Google screw the lock screen so bad?!
Not sure how the clock widget can be changed.
Also noticed that if a music player has lockscreen widgets, they show up on a new page...
You can disable system apps in Android 4.2. If you disable Google Search in Applications, you lose the swipe up gesture from the soft buttons, but the lockscreen will still show a weird looking dot where Google Now is activated.

Was just thinking the exact same thing. You're right, if this could be done it would be absolutely perfect. :good:
Why oh why do we have to look at that awful clock font? If only there was a way to remove it completely. And why did they decide to have that place holder flash up on the left every single time I unlock? I know I can add a widget, there's no need to remind me every single time I unlock!
I don't think I see a good way of changing the default widget unless you replace the system clock app.
Android devices are meant for multitasking. Some devices, like the Galaxy Note 2,
are specifically designed to launch two apps, or more, at the same time.
The Google Play Store also offers a variety of multitasking apps to allow
you to multitask on your device. The FlipLauncher app is a multitasking app
that allows you to group your favorite apps or shortcuts and access them
from wherever on your device.
get the extremely usefull app HERE
When you launch FlipLauncher in portrait mode, 6 colored bars (i use one) will appear
on the left side of your screen. These bars serve as your virtual drawer
containing your apps and shortcuts. Just swipe to open those bars.
You can set up to 4 apps or shortcuts on each bar, giving you a total
of 24 apps or shortcuts.

The app also allows you to personalize the bars on your device’s screen.
You can change a bar’s color, adjust its width, set its placement, and
set its opacity. You can even disable one or two bars. These virtual drawers
really look like the Multi Window feature of the Galaxy Note 2 but arranged horizontally.
The app also has a different layout when you hold your device in landscape mode.
In this screen orientation, 4 colored bars (again i only use one) will appear on the left
side of the screen. Each bar allows you to place 6 apps or shortcuts, giving you still a
total of 24 apps.Just like the previous orientation, you can still change a bar’s color,
transfer the bar to the opposite side, adjust its width, and set its opacity. You can also
remove some bars according to your liking.

Hey guys, over on the Post Your Homescreen thread, there are a number of people running stock roms but with a different colour notification shade and no "S Finder" or "Quick Connect" icons. I would love to have that. They say to do that, you'll need Xposed and Wanam but as far as I know, Xposed isn't working for stock Lollipop roms at the moment which is what I'm running. Is there a workaround that I'm not aware of?
Also, how can you change the icon theme on the Edge bar? Thanks a lot for your help!
Don't know about the buttons.
But the icons on the edge follow the touchwiz theme. So if you are rooted, you can use one of the apps to change the touchwiz icons, which then changes them on the edge as well.
If you are using, say Nova, this means you can actually have one icon pack for the homescreen, and one for the edge.
I use Galaxy icon themer, which works fine on Lollipop. There are a couple others, but I think they need xposed, which, as ypu said, is a problem on TW lollipop right now.

Thanks for the tip! I wonder how I never came across them. I do have the 915G so the Alliance ROM sounds perfect. I just have a couple of questions though:
1. They didn't mention anything about the possibility to remove the Quick Connect button in the notifications shade, only the S Finder. Do you know if it's possible?
2. Any known bugs and issues? (since it's in BETA)
3. I've been having this problem "Unfortunately, Package Access Helper has stopped" when trying to install big apps from Humble Bundle or Amazon (under 100MB are always fine though). Others seem to have this problem as well. Do you know if this ROM addresses this issue?
4. If I do a backup of my system settings in my current stock ROM (using Titanium), can I restore them after flashing the new one? It wouldn't create clashes or disrupt anything? This is something I always wondered about flashing new roms.
Thanks again for the help!

Heya,
1. in alliance can only remove both Quick connect and SFinder bar
2. Bugs: lockscreen effect don;t use ink, stick to tiles, the R from the clear button on the drop down menu is missing
3. Not had any issues downloading from Amazon, never tried Humble
4. Settings backup not good idea as Alliance ROM has changed settings options and I have found that generally best to start fresh
Apart from that had no issues myself

haha I see. I guess it'll all become more clear once I flash the ROM! Thanks again!
EDIT: Just spent the whole afternoon on this rom. Can't say I'm a fan. For some reason, I can't change the wallpaper. Even when I switch to Nova launcher and try to change it through there, the wallpaper still won't budge. There are also a lot of inconsistencies. For example, pretty much every theme I tried had some kind of problem with font colour being the same as the background in some menus, making it impossible to read. Usually appeared in the Reboot menu but some themes had it in other places too. Took me ages to finally find the right setting to fix that. Still getting the "unfortunately, package access helper has stopped" when downloading from sources outside of the Play Store with large apps (100MB or more, Amazon or Humble). I also encountered a problem with the sound mode toggle in the notifications shade. After switching the phone to vibrate only, I can't switch it back.
In the end, there just seem to be way too many options for what I need, which would've been fine if it weren't for the fact that it's so hard to find the options that I want. I'm gonna try the emotion kernel now
As far as changing the buttons and icons on the edge goes I just thought I'd throw this out there... I'm not sure about changing the look of the included factory edge panels if that's what you're asking, but there is an awesome app on Play that you can buy (which is a must have app for Note Edge owners imho) called "EdgeNavi Pro".. which let's you put practically whatever buttons you want on the edge and you can also "theme it" to however you like (there's also a free version which is limited but the full version is more than worth it especially with this phone). It doesn't have included "themes" so to speak but you can pick the color of the edge, change the icons of the buttons, pick the transparency, and so on. Anyway just thought I'd mention it because imo it's worth its weight in gold and it actually makes the edge worthwhile and useful finally. Hope it helps and here's a couple of pics just to give you an idea..
