Hi,
I signed up to HTC themes with my HTC user account (user name: [email protected][...].de). Now HTC themes calls me "mail" (see screenshot). Either there is no option to change this or I am too dumb to find it. Any help would be highly appreciated.

This won't work unfortunately as it creates a new user profile.

Thanks Dave, excellent addon to POutlook
Is there a solution that works on WM6 smartphone edition as well? Thank you!
Edit: I found one: Switch on the synching between WM and Outlook, abort the synching, then deselect it from the sync-items list and confirm the appearing question. That's it. No extra software needed.
Hi, anyone know if its possible to replace sense email with the stock email app?
Reason is using exchange with the sense one enabled security for the phone, meaning I need a password to unlock which is stupid. I understand needing security but why not just lock that email account rather than the whole phone!
Anyway the email app on my Nexus One doesn't have this issue, anyone know how I can pull the email apk out and replace the sense on?
Thanks
There is an alternative. There is an app available for free on the market place which removes that password prompt. I can't remember the name of it but search this forum as it's been mentioned before.
you can't replace it yet, but you can certainly install the stock one. I have it hosted on my webspace

EDIT: forgot to say, remember that this will not work with the HTC Sense mail widget.
great. Would be even better if it could handle attachments. Is it possible that the quickoffice and pdf viewer are tied to htc sense and not to native android?

Lockpicker, from the market (developed by one of the forum members, iirc) will disable the password prompt, as mentioned in another reply. I use it and it works a treat.

I used this mail.apk on my HTC Droid Incredible and it works perfectly.
HTC stock Sense Mail client does not bring in any of my emails, at least not for my company on IMAP settings.
Hi all,
I applied this application to HTC Sprint EVO none-rooted with stock Android 2.1 and it works.
This stock email.apk allowed me to resolve problem with HTC Mail for Android Version 2.00.0037.195459 not having "allow all certificates" option required to be able to Active Sync if you use self-signed certificate.
However, this version does not seem to support Exchange Calendar.
Does anybody have newest email.apk from Android 2.2 which works on 2.1 ?
They claim support for Calendar and GAL, but I don't want to upgrade to 2.2 just to get email app upgraded.
Regards
Ivan

I can't seem to find any option on how to sort contacts by last name.
I don't want to exchange First <-> Last names in Outlook and then sync.
Do you know of another way?

Nice app, but can't sort contacts with international characters (specifically greek)...
Thanks anyway!
I dont know if it works on the Wildfire S, but on my HTC Legend, ill just export those Outlook contacts to GMail Web and force it to sync with my phone. That should work.

My Wildfire S has this option. Open "People" App, then choose Settings -> View -> Sort contact list -> Last Name
Thanks for your replies!
Problem solved!
Don't know if you guys/gals have already seen this but if you have a One X and a Facebook account (who doesn't?), please check this out. Blew me away.

Click "Connect with Facebook to begin", allow the app in Facebook and wait for it to load.

Eek. I thought it was some sort of new feature. Using my personal data from FB to create a personalized HTC infomercial is kind of creepy. I dis-"liked" it as soon as it was done because I don't want them having that level of access to my stuff. Nicely done but a little Orwellian nonetheless.

Ha ha in that case, you must remove the app from your account. Disliking won't revoke access. Go to Privacy Settings and click "Edit Settings" next to "Ads, Apps and Websites" and remove HTC from the list. While you're at it you might want to check what other apps have access to your profile and remove them also
Stupid question, but is there a way to change which account name is being displayed at the upper left-hand corner of the quick settings? It used to say my name from my Google account, but after I logged into Twitter and authroized HTC Sense to access my Twitter account, it's been using my Twitter name.
I've de-authorized my Twitter account from HTC, logged out of Twitter, and also de-installed it to get it to change back, but no dice. Any ideas?
Maybe log into Google+? That worked for me on Vanir. Awesome rom btw.
