Is there any advantage at all of purchasing a AllShare Cast wireless streaming dongle if my tv already has AllShare?
Can a Samsung Galaxy S3 stream video to two AllShare devices at once? (ie a tv with AllShare and a wireless dongle attached to a monitor)

The dongle is meant for non allshare tv... if you already have it on yours its already a compatible device and don't need the dongle. And yes it can share all at same time that's why its called allshare. The commercials showing multiple people looking at the same thing are real
But don't confuse allshare cast and allshare play. Cast makes the tv mimic everything you see on the phones screen. Allshare play is just DLNA file sharing

Thanks for the info! Whats the difference between allshare cast and allshare play (DLNA)? if my tv has allshare cast will it be faster than if I use a wireless dongle?
If I'm streaming to a tv with allshare cast and a wireless dongle to a monitor at the same time, will one be a bit slower than the other, or will the two be synced up?

first of all only the latest latest smart tv's can do allshare cast, second you need to have that app installed and it isn't out yet for most tv's, third, it isn't available to the mid to low end line, only the higher series have it
Hey guys, I just made a video explaining Allshare play/cast with examples in my Samsung TV! LE40C650 2010 model.
With the Allshare mobile app you can remotely access your pc and stream video in your tv. I show that!
My TV doesn't have AllShare Cast.
AllShare play starts @ 1:10

um I don't understand your language so this doesn't help.
How can you be streaming through allshare if you tv does not have allshare??
I'm Greek but my youtube video has English subtitles click the "cc" button. All I said was that it doesn't have "AllShare Cast" which is a special feature.
It has the good old simple "AllShare play" feature!
This site says that any tv with dlna and wifi is ok.

AllShare Cast you can mirror the screen of your phone and play games in your big TV.
(2013 Samsung smart TVs models OR any TV with the AllShare Cast Dongle).

My TV is an older Samsung model and it doesn't have allshare cast, what you see in my video(the gaming part) is not real, it is for demonstration purposes only. (It's a video playing in TV and in the Galaxy S3)
Can any of the Samsung Monitors do this?
Is there a list of Samsung products that have allshare?
i found out with this program on android called : playto samsung tv
one can send video and other social videostuff to the tv.. strange thing when it starts playing on the tv just before its telling me it cant play the file i see the desktop of my s3 on my ES8000 tv :cyclops:,, this sorta seems to be able to stream the desktop to the tv so it seems. i cannot find any allcast stuff though. someone hopefully can make a program to establish this without the dongle as it seems working somewhat allready ?

I have a Samsung UN46ES6500 2012 model smart tv. Is that capable of doing Allshare Cast without the dongle?

Only some models of the new Samsung 2013 smart TVs will have AllShare Cast installed inside, all TVs that are sold now(Samsung+others) only with the dongle! I asked someone in the Samsung booth at IFA 2012 in Berlin and he told me!

So im sure this has been asked before but I couldnt find the specific answer I was looking for. Basically I have a bunch of emulators on my tablet. I have the latest gen Kindle HDX 7inch and was wondering, if I got the fire tv stick + the fire controller, could use the fire TV to stream my emulator to my TV while using the controller? If I cant do it with those exact products are there any others that may work instead? Thanks a bunch.
Most, if not all, devices that are running a recent version of Android support screen casting.

Screen casting works fine. Though PS4 Bluetooth controllers have a slight bit of lag. But very usable once its not a fast paced game.
Hello all im after a simple question answered if its at all possible and maybe a little direction on how its acheived.
I have an old galaxy s4 GT-i9505 with a broken screen running as a makeshift android tv.
Its plugged directly into a TV through mhl and serves its purpose very well.
Its mainly used for Netflix/Kodi or any other Tv catchup type app.
Its currently being controlled a number of ways, mainly with a amazon firestick Bluetooth remote, (s4 runs much better than a stick BTW) but certain apps (Netflix, various tv apps) dont recognise the centre button.
However this isnt an issue as I have different methods to control apps that dont use my remote too well (droidmote).
What my main question is, when installing an app say Netflix on an android phone how can I get the app to think its being installed onto an android tv device like FireTV,firestick, nexus, or any generic android tv box?
Is there a way to modify my rom to enable fooling detection of Android tv?
If this is not possible is there any android tv rom I might be able to use on the gt-i9505?
Last question Id like answered, is there anyway I can map the buttons on my Bluetooth remote to ger the centre button working?
I would be very grateful if any devs who may read this help out by letting me know if any of this is possible, ive exhausted Google search but came up with nothing.
Thanks alot.
Just to add to this, am I able to use gapps for Android tv? Or should I use the micro option?
Again really appreciate any help or pointers.
+1
Hello guys, does anyone know if there is a way to use the PokemonTV app on the fire TV?
i tried downloading the 2.0.2 apk, but it is not controller friendly. any idea on how to use these touch friendly apps on the fire tv?
thanks!
If you have google services installed droidmote is the best if not, wukang remote or limitless remote will be your best bet.
