LG G4 no gps anymore - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
my LG G4 has no gps anymore. The only what I did is to apply some updates.
I downloaded the gps tester, cleared and update the agps, but no improvement. Then I have reset it to default settings and still the same problem. Does anybody have the same issues? A flagship like this smartphone has gps problems, really?
In comparison with my old Galaxy S3, the samsung smartphone has connected faster with WLAN or GPS than my LG G4, why?
Thanks for help.

[Q] LG Optimus G Pro (F240L) - Wi-Fi problem

Hi guys,
yesterday I received my LG Optimus G Pro, which I have ordered at AliExpress.
The happiness soon was replaced by dissapointment. The Wi-Fi is not working at all.
Firstly with Android 4.1 it connected to my home WiFi and I had internet access for about a minute. Then the phone crashed and rebooted. After updating to stock KitKat the behaviuor was slightly different: The WiFi buttons switches on and off during conncetion. So no access to my home WiFi at all.
I recorded a (bad quality) video of it. Just search on Google/YouTube for
"LG Optimus G Pro (F240L) - Wi-Fi problem"
Is it a hardware issue? Or is there anything I can do about it?
Hard reset (Power+Volume down) doesn't work either.
It's the Korean F240L version, by the way. Maybe some of the provider crapware interferes?
Quite a shame, because the rest of the phone is amazing. Really enjoy it. But no working Wi-Fi is a no-go.
Thanks for your support!

GPS fix Optimus G Pro

I need to know if any one has a fix on how to make the GPS on the optimus g pro work. I can't seem to get it towork. I have use many of the GPS test apps to fix the problem however they can seem to find a gps signal or if they do they can lock in to it.
I tried many cell phones of LG but I am facing GPS signal problem in all mobiles. Samsung, Motorola is best for GPS using. If any have solution for LG Mobiles so please share with us.
This solution worked for me:

G Pad 8.3 V500 wifi bug on official 5.0.2 V30a

Hi I got a V500 international version and flashed the newest firmware 5.0.2 V30a
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-...-stock-rooted-lollipop-rom-int-g-pad-t3079312
I have seen in other forums for OTA update, they have the wifi problem same as I do
So when you are connecting to a Wifi, it will suddenly dropped to a really low signal or disappear for a good min or so, then come back again, so I got disconnected
When you do a scan in settings, you don't see any SSID around, this happen quite often and anyone know how to fix?
Thanks
Anyone here got lollipop running on V500 and got no Wifi bug?
I´m losing sometimes the connection. There is no signal drop it just there is no data flow anymore. Seems to happen only in situations where signal isn´t perfect but also not really bad. Might also be a problem of interference with other WIFI APs in the same distance as the AP actually connected to.
I do have the same FW since it come out.
No problems at all. WiFi is working always and no freezes or disconnection.
can some of you upload me these files of 5.0.2?
system/firmware/wlan/prima/WCNSS_cfg.dat
system/firmware/wlan/prima/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini
system/firmware/wlan/prima/WCNSS_qcom_wlan_nv.bin
Anyone found a solution? I have this problem too and it is really annoying. ?
hi
some one have solution?
i have same problem
thanks

GPS Fix on LG Stock (non-rooted) Marshmallow ?

Hi everybody !
Sometimes, I need to use my phone as a GPS and since I updated to stock marshmallow, GPS fix is really bad (can't fix or takes lonnnnnnng minutes) and regularly (too regularly...) when I drive, Google Maps says "Signal GPS Perdu" --> ("GPS signal Lost" ?) and obviously it's when i don't know the road...
In Lollipop (stock) , I thought that GPS was very bad compared to my old Galaxy SIII.
GPS fix took half a minute and sometimes it disconnects (but less than in MM when there is a fix...) (in the same location my old GSIII took 2-3 seconds and it never disconnects)
oddly, my old Asus TF700t who is on Marshmallow (KatKiss) works largely better than my G3 for the GPS (not as good as the GSIII, but it works really great) but unfortunately it's really complicated to take it on the car...
So, I would like to now if someone has these kind of problems with its G3 on stock marshmallow and if it's the case how to resolve it ?
Thank you

I was surprised when I received the same issue. Running GPS Locker before Google Maps seems to work for me, although I did load FasterGPS and set the NTP Server to my local area.

I tried FasterGPS and TopNTP apps but everytime i set different setting than default, the GPS stop detecting any satelites (previous root my LG g3)
I need a solution soon :crying::crying::crying::crying:
Same issue here. It finds the satellites but never gets the lock on. When without wifi or mobile data, its a problem
Or, when there is a fix, after a few seconds, it losts the signal...
On CM13, fix is faster, but it regularly losts the fix...
i have the same problem on my LG g3 I am tired of it........

Wifi Problem post updating My LG G7+ ThinQ to Android Pie via. LG Bridge

BUG IN ANDROID PIE FIRMWARE FOR LG G7+ THINQ (LM-G710EAW)
WIFI ISSUE WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE HELL
PLEASE DO NOT UPDATE TO ANDROID PIE
Hello friends,
Post updating my LG G7+ ThinQ to Android pie I am stuck with a unique Wifi problem.
In my office, we have 4 routers with the same SSID and password.
Yes all working on different channels and not overlapping. (wifi related)
So we get seamless coverage across the office.
Post updating,
The phone is not able to switch from one router to another.
Previously it was working totally fine on Android 8.0.
There are other staff members with their phones and laptops, No one is facing any problem.
I was also not facing any problem until I upgraded to Android Pie 9.0.
Every time I change my location, I need to off and on wifi on the phone to make it work properly.
All routers are set on Router Mode with the same SSID and Password.
When I move from one location to another,
As usual signal from Router 1 reduces and then it shifts to router 2.
The signal regains, but the internet does not work.
Default Gateway IP
DNS Server
Does not update when I move from one location to another. (Technically from one router range to another)
There are more than 70 plus active devices in my office including mobile and laptop.
No other device faces any issues and all works seamlessly.
Tried my colleague LG G6 and LG V30 both works fine. Even my LG G7 was working fine,
The problem started only after updating to Android Pie
Please guide me with what needs to be done?
I have already reinstall the whole firmware back with LG Bridge update error recovery.
Still, the problem is persistent.
This issue must be particular to LG India Software Update patch.
And serious efforts are required to solve the issue by LG Technical Team.
Any help will be appreciated, otherwise, I may need to change the phone.
As no other phone or laptop is facing this issue.
Thanks!

Awaiting reply and help.

Hi, tried it.
Still the issue continues.
I guess its the bug from Firmware Update.
I hope LG acknowledges it and find a solution and release patch for it.

Exactly, that's the problem.
It is supposed to work smoothly.
It was also working perfectly fine... Until I updated to Android Pie.
I updated and the problem started.
And it is happening only on my LG G7+
Rest all mobiles and laptops are working fine.
I reinstalled the firmware again via. update recovery error.
Did the factory reset.
Nothing is helping.
It is a bug in the firmware only.
I have updated LG.
But, they are so slow in acknowledging it and releasing an update patch, that by the time It releases I would end up buying a new phone only.
Thats LG for us. so #NOMORELG
Also my G7+ has connectivity issues after the pie update. At the moment it bothers me not so much since I have an unlimited data plan on my second sim card. However I will travel soon and then I really need WiFi. This really sucks.

It will work fine until all router are setup in Access Point mode.
And Default Gateway and DNS server is same in all router.
But, if all router and set in Router mode with same ssid and password.
Then your life is hell for sure.
LG sometimes really sucks.
Bringing update so late, and that also with such critical bug. #NOMORELG
Feels like dumping all my LG phone is garbage.
You can't understand how hell my life has become of this issue.
