Weird BT issue

I have an Eonon GA2114 - rk3188, 800*480, KLD2 2.77 MCU, BC6B BT board
With the original Eonon ROM bluetooth is unusable. There is no default device name or PIN. If I type in these, they disappear after reboot. It does not detect either phones or OBD, nor is it detected by phones.
With other KLD ROMs bluetooth is active, can be paired to both phones and OBD but all sound is muted during calls (both ways)
With Joying ROMs, including Malaysk, BT works as it should.
This is clearly a software issue, anyone has any clues about where should I start looking? Are these manufacturers using different BT stack implementations maybe?
Anybody can provide a working rk3188 800*480 Eonon ROM? Not the October 19 ROM also available on this forum, that one has the issue described above.

It would be great if someone posts working version of Eonon ROM.

My MCU is a KLD2.
I have requested Eonon to send a compatible ROM, even older, but they say it's the only one available. The ROM they are sending id the one available on this forum in the Factory ROM thread. Eonon appear to just brand generic units and have no technical personnel. I gave up getting a competent answer from them. For now I am on Booroondook's ROM, waiting for Joying to release a Lollipop version.

At present there is no need to have a bugged (and unfixed by Google) Lollipop 5.0.x on these units, Kitkat 4.4.4 is still the best IMHO.
We'll see in the future what will happen with Marshmellow...

Since Eonon is keep sending me KLD2 based mcu even I have KLD(MTCB-KLD-v2.78) by default I cannot use this version because FM radio is not working. I said that to them but again they sent me KLD2, the I gave up on them and now trying to fing some solution to make bluetooth to work.
Can You please tell me where did You download current ROM that You are using?

MCU and OS ROM image are independent, even if the Chinese keep sending both you can burn only the Android ROM and leave the MCU untouched.
Anyway, I am currently using this ROM. A more detailed installation procedure is in the first post of the thread.

Go to factory settings and adjust the bt module there. Code is 126.
I was seeing the same thing when I found that option and began playing around.

Thank you for this. Can you please make folder listing or at least explain what this file from attached picture is for? It looks like Oreo Image but it is RAR instead of ZIP?

Yes, MCUs are not processor or OS specific.

If your MCU does not start wth "MTCD" or "MTCE" its not MTCD/E unit, try the Android Headunit general forum.

Can you share a link to the file ?
And post a screen shot of your MCU ? (it should b "v2.56" not "Vs 2.56").

As far as I know you can, but Sofia mdels have the wifi on the SoM, so the MCU may have some differences, do you have a copy of an older CHS MCU ?

No, I'm sorry, I don't have any copies. I bought it from a friend. What do you think I risk? I would like to try to update it because I have problems with Bluetooth or do you think it can solve maybe changing roms? But even I wouldn't know where to start, which rom I could put and how. Thank you

Usually all MTCD/E units use the same MCU and I was always under the impression Sofia units did too, but as I said they have wifi on the SoM which may make a difference as on other MTCD/E units the wifi is on the motherboard, so I m not 100% certain, also the link you posted has "Sofia MCU".
So I would read this thread starting at the beginning to find out for sure.

Hi, did you succeed with any update? ROM or MCU?
I have a similar MCU CHS 2.51, BT frequently needs a complete 10s-Powerbutton reset to work....

You could try changing the MCU to a different one - see @marchnz's "Verified Cross Compatible MCUs" thread.

Klyde Unit What to do ?

Hello everybody,
I´ve got a Klyde Car Specific Head Unint for my Car now i want a custom Rom or a Android Update or maybe a MCU Update
I´ve readed now many Posts about it but I dont found a thread about my Headunit.
When i understood all in the other Threads is the MCU the Chip that Control everything, is it possible that my System will
boot faster when i do a MCU Update ? My MCU Version is : MTCD_KLD_V254e_1
The next question is about the DAB APP ive got the Version 1.0 sometimes when i start my Car i dont find the Channel i have than to close the App
and restart again is there a fix ?
My Build Number is px5.userdebug 6.0.1 MXC89L maybe somebody got the same Device and can help me.

All Klyde MTCD/E headunits are the same inside, they only differ outside, therefore the only thing that is important is the make (KLD), the platform (MTCD/E) and the processor (RK3188 (PX3) or RK3368 (PX5) ), so you dot need to look for your specific unit, you need any Klyde MTCD/E MCU and for the ROM any MTCD/E ROM for your processor type - because all PX3 and PX5 MTCD/E units use the same board, you dont have to use a Klyde ROM, you can use ROMs from other MTCD/E manufacturers (a long as they match your processor type).
So, in summary, find the latest KLD MTCE MCU and use that and you can use any MTCD/E RK3368/PX5 Android 6 or Android 8 ROM.
BTW youve posted i the MTCB/C forum and you have an MTCD/E unit, I ll get the thread moved.

MCU wanted for MTCE_GS_V2.84._3 (dmcu.img)

I accidentally messed up with my unit PX5 (buttons are not working - unit does) and I would like to reflash the MCU.
The original version the unit came with is MTCE_GS_V2.84._3 but I cannot find it anywhere.
Does anyone have an idea where I can find it?

I see here https://yadi.sk/d/umCvHqCDzHccr/RockChip PX5 Android 8.0/GS that only ROMS for PE series are available . Mine is a Xtrons PB series (PB68WRJP). May I use the PE ROM ?

they will be fine with your pb i have the audi TT pb unit and have used these files for mine without any problems, as far as i am aware the px5 units are all the same anyway.

I asked because my seller gave to me 2 versions of the update file a couple of months ago. First he sent the PE version and later, before I updated my unit, he sent the PB saying that this is the right one for my unit.

im looking into changing rom or mcu files my unit doesn't go to sleep, full shut down boot up. may be acc on battery and battery on acc on harness not sure going to test out soon. but i havent seen anyone on forum with corehan unit im guessing there a reseller with there branding. it would help to know which roms or mcu files are interchangeable with this brand. problems im having re not sleeping no apps auto open have to physically press radio to start. time and date takes minute to . 2 to fully change.

CZ are the manufacturer, you can tell that by the "CZ" in the MCU field, so you have a CZ" unit, in 5 years of using MTC units, I ve not heard of them, they must be new.
You can use ANY MTCD/E RK3368/PX5 Oreo ROM, I d recommend @Hal9k_'s ROM.
You may well be able to use other manufacturer's MCUs but you will be the guinea pig as no one else has tried cos CZ is so new.

yeh thanks for reply ill most likely use the rom the was suggested thankyou

If anyone happens to find the CZ MCU please let me know. I tried KGL and HA which all worked fine but I get a beep every 10 seconds. I did a backup of what I thought was the mcu but was just the settings so I am trying to find the original CZ MCU to reinstall.

You cannot back up the MCU, you ll have to wait until a CZ one becomes available or try all the other MCUs until you find one that works.
You need to read @marchnz's "Cross Compatible MCU" thread for info on this.

I wasn't asking someone to give me theirs, rather if someone has it or found a source for it.
I finally found one that works for my unit after trying a bunch. The XRC seems to do the trick. I'm trying to get the stock mcu from the manuf but no luck so far.

I'm in contact w/ the manufacturers who said they are going to get it from the engineers tomorrow but we'll see. how that goes. I had to explain to them the difference between the update.img and a dmcu.img so I"m not too confident but at least they seem to understand and speak english well.

Not in the least. They seem to a bunch more than most of the companies that sell these things though so I have a feeling they are at least one step up from a joying. Probably not the manufacturer but when he said he had contact to the engineers I have a feeling they may be or just one step below the manuf.

and after updating to xrc mcu the Bluetooth stopped working. what version of xrc mcu did you updated ?

The HU is a Hizpo PX5 4GB.
