[Q] My HTC Touch Pro 2 Screen Suddenly Stopped Working!

So today my touch screen on my HTC Touch Pro 2 just stopped working. It doesn't respond to any touches on it at all. I can use the hardware buttons and the keyboard, but nothing on the touch screen which makes the phone practically useless.
Does anyone know of any settings that may have caused this? I'm hoping I might've mistakenly turned something off that made the entire touch screen shutdown. Doubtful, but worth a shot.
If you aren't already, you should flash a stock ROM to make sure it is the hardware at fault. If it acts this way with a stock ROM, then you have a faulty digitizer. You could either try to replace it yourself, or send it in for repairs or a replacement if you still have warranty remaining.
I am already using the stock ROM
Is that happened due to error on D3D driver?

No, it's happening because of a faulty digitizer as I mentioned above. That needs to be replaced.
Try a hard reset first, it happened to me once.

Thanks "cajunflavoredbob"
Although my phone is out of warranty they replaced it to me
I think this will never happened again
so that what makes me want to ask you what is the " faulty digitizer " ???
and how it occurs??
sorry for annoying

[Q] need to solve something about touch screen

Hello ppl I'm acuding today for your wise advices because I dont know what to do, recently the lower corners of my xperia play touch screen are not responding when i try to write messages or selecting something that is in that part of the screen I want to know if this problem is from the touch screen itself or to know if the problem comes from the flex, I send my phone with lots of technicians and 2 out of 4 told me that the flex was the problem and the other 2 told me that the touch was the problem idk what to do x_x
Since you sent your phone to 4 different technicians. I suggest to you into getting a new phone. Your touchscreen is more likely faulty at this point.

Had the same problem. Tried everything including tightening the screws like some suggested. Finally i tried loosening the screws instead, and even removed a couple of screws at the top. Ghost touch finally stopped. Been 8 hours now. Hopefully it stays that way.

how's your phone now? i encounter the same problem. my phone is just two months old and mine is laser 6 inches. i have sent it to the service center for diagnosis and replacement/repair. im worrying that this problem would come back after some time. im assessing that my digitizer broke because an inch of my screen does not respond in addition to the ghost touch
My ZE550ML is having a little ghost touch also, but it sorta happens when I under clock the processor and when I'm using apps like Google+, XDA, etc. It doesn't happen often, but when it does it just goes away for a few hours. Might have to do what houhong did.

Hello Guys , the ghost touch has no relation with any app or software, it is purely a hardware problem, Main cause of this is the digitizer tiny flat cable . you need to disconnect and reconnect the digtizer flat cable ( under metal cover for the main board) please follow proper procedure , Then before you put things back together stick a peace of foam over the flat cable connection after locking it in the position ( over cable and connector). This should sort the problem , but if you experience the ghost touch again , you need to replace screen digitizer first and follow the same procedure for the new screen digitizer and that will be end of problem.
Please do not bother with factory reset or uninstalling apps .. I briked and unbriked the whole phone before I realize problem had nothing to do with software !!
Good luck!

Phone is stuck in something like a bootloop

Hey guys,
I'm having some serious trouble with my LG G3... I'm running the latest update for stock and now all of a sudden I'm stuck in something like a bootloop.
Sometimes it reaches the SIM PIN screen and then reboots, but most of the time it doesn't even make it there.
The last time I got to the PIN screen I could record a log (the last part of it is attached).
Can anyone see what's wrong from the log?
Ah, btw I have TWRP installed.
Best regards,
Arma
Hi there,
Same issue here, hope to find an answer!
I returned to stock and the problem still exists.
How old is the phone?
Did the bootloop occur out of nothing, or was it right after you updated?

It started as a reboot only when I opened google maps and then at some point it restarted constantly.
I had the system running for quite a while. The phone is now about 9 months old.

Did you get it new or second hand?
It's quite possible that unfortunately you got the bootloop issue that's caused by overheating the motherboard.
There are fix guides around the forum, you should add a thermal pad to the SoC chip.

It was new, but overheating sounds possible because it got quite hot many times without any reason.

Well maybe the phone was refurbished or you were really unlucky. Maybe the issue is somewhere else, but this bootlooping is quite common with the G3 and some other LG phones (just look at the threads around the forum) and it's a hardware issue. It has the symptoms just like the ones you're describing, so I'm fairly certain that's the problem.
Try another battery. Use geniune battery.
And if did no help then heat soc with hair drier and add thermal pad or somthing thin from metal.
hello,
I had this problem in the past, you could fix it with a hairdrayer and a thermal pad. After that, install a linageos ( because it's lite and much rapid than stock), then downclock your CPU to 1 GHz and your GPU to 200 MHz.
This should fix your problem for a while ( 2 to 3 weaks ) and repet the same manipulations until the smartphone dies.

I suggest to launch a boycott campaign against LG,
Because they know that their smartphones have this problem but they sell them even as. I lost 200$ on a g3 and 450 on a V20 !
