I accidently dropped my Lenovo Vibe P1 in water. It was in water for hardly 2 secs, i immediately pulled it out...But from then it was working weird...
I turned it off and then tried the Rice Bag method and left it there for 24 hours.
After 24 hours it does even boot or turn on or nothing...Nothing works at all....There was power up vibration initially now even that is gone...
My phone is totally dead...Please help me what to do!!!!

you need to open up your phone and clean it up.

From what you are describing, there may be a battery issue due to water seepage.
Does the phone show any weird behavior while connected to charger? You may dismantle the phone & try with another battery to validate the battery issue.

This phone was stoped work suddenly during a call. Not droped, not water damage. Does not respond to pressing power, pow+vol - and pluging charger.
Battery is full. And i tried another battery. What is this? Flash or processor died?

broken motherboard, bring it in for repairs
Mine has done the same tonight... I was using it, put it down for 20 minutes and then picked it back up. No power, no charging and unfortunately nothing in the other thread helped. Sigh, I only just got back from a holiday and really can't lose the photos on it.

Unfortunately my phone fell in water and now I'm not understanding what to do with it. Here is my situation:
1. Phone was in water for 15-20 minutes.
2. When I came to know about it, I took it, it was switched off.
3. I removed battery and removed the water that I could remove.
4. Kept it in rice for 6-7 hours. Tried to put battery and saw that there was red light even before I switch it on. The phone did not switch on after pressing power button.
5. Kept the phone again in rice for more than 24 hours. Also kept it in sunlight.
6. Tried to switch it on. Still I could see the red light even before pressing the power button.
I'm not getting what to do now? Can any one help/ suggest me in this regard?
I dropped my Nexus 5x into the toilet and quickly dried it off and waited 24 hours but when I tried to turn it on it just vibrated and the screen did not turn on. I think the device is working but the screen might not be?

Update: The screen turns on but it does not respond to me touching it. Help???
digitizer is probably damaged, have you tried taking it apart and making sure no other water damage is present?
Hi i've got a lenovo p2 flashed with Android 8.1 AospExtended Rom v5.6 and magma kernel everything was working like a charm.
But yesterday night i left my phone outside and it obviously rained during the night.
I got it back in the morning and it seems to work i tried to navigate in between menus and decided to turn it off, what a mistake.
My lenovo p2 is now stuck in a "bootloop" not really because it keep restarting every 5 second like the power button is recognize as held down but i can press on it and feel the clik.
I can go in fastbootmode but the same thing happen screen turn on and off every 3-5 second
Anyone have an idea about what to do ?
I think i'm going to either change the flex cable from the power boutton to the motherboard or just cut it or pop it if i can. Lenovo p2 is a bit annoying to open .

Sounds like a water damage
Immediately stop trying to turn it on - when water is inside thats the worst thing you can do.
Open it if you can and dry everything.

Well it restart itself i'm not touching anything and i have no way to turn the phone off since the battery isnt accesible>
hi everyone
my phone was dropped in water.
when i checked it was still working but the screen starts to have like horizontal lines coming from down to up
. so i turned it off, dried it with a towel…
i restarted it later it started well…then it restarted with green and red English words as it it was programming or android installing updates or firmware lines.. hope you understand me...
so i turned it off again to disassembly well and dry it better…
the problem is now when i plug it to charge it, i can feel it vibe in repeat mode when i connect it... as if it was vibering, then wait then vibering...in loop
i tried a recovery mode but still nothing on screen…
my pc don't see it when i connect it…
doesn't smell good at all :crying:
and another problem...when i disassemblied it i think i break a little part of the nap where i connect the screen nap on it...at the top right…
you can see it on the picture i added…
i'll try to disassembly again to see if i can do something

my mob also fell in water 9months ago...i didnt get any lines..,but i my self switched it off...later it didn't switched on shown black screen,only charging led works..that too different colors...so just kept it aside and after few hours magically switched On...
