[q] root - recovery - android now hd

Hi Guys
Im new to installing custom Roms on the G3 as I have been using Samsungs for a while.
I have Lolipop 5.0 on my device at the moment but I understand I have to revert to stock rom in order to root my device,.
I need to know what method I need to use for Rooting, what recovery to use and how to successfully install the custom rom.
Any help would be appreciated,

Ok so heres the firmware i recommend. Since you are located in the Middle East you can flash the firmware from UAE
KitKat KDZ: http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FW390906432109876543213/D85510l_00.kdz
Follow the KDZ Downgrade Guide on this page in accordance with the firmware that i provided you above

Once youve downgraded to KitKat and the phone fully boots

No dont use that, its more risky than PurpleDrake
Yes flashify to install twrp is tine. Select recovery image when you open the app

No not with the method you quoted above this is root only you can't install Twrp recovery unless you downgrade.At the moment it is not possible to install Twrp on Stock Lollipop without downgrading you can only root.:crying:

Don't be rude If you read he mentioned his "FRIEND" who had rooted with the new root method and who had not downgraded and you was telling him that he can install Twrp which is wrong!!

Sorted
I used the LG flash tool an flashed 4.4.2.
I then Rooted with Purple drake.
Installed the CWM app to install recovery, then flashed Android Now HD
all working perfectly now.

yess this rom works for htc 820u. make sure you have latest version of twrp and already running on lollipop.

i had my lg g4 h815p .. and i have managed to root it .. but is there any way to put TWRP recovery on it ??

for now its cant be
no recovery with locked bootloader
u can use flashfire its kinda like the TWRP but much slower

I used flashfire . and i used flashify also to flash xposed framwork . and it was failure every time .. Is that related to the locked bootloader?? Or other reason?

use xposed-v75-sdk22-arm64
And install the Xposed apk after finishing flashing the zip file

You need an unlocked bootloader in order to install a boot recovery as far as I know.

yesss !! it worked fine by using flashfire ( i mean XPOSED) .. i waited 30 minutes after screen off .. then it works 100%

* I used the h815 euro prerooted system image
* Then the commands for the h815p.
I can upload the system image to google drive if you would like me to just PM me?
and then installed flashfire to upgrade to v20a.

No, root wasn't kept. You could try flash the repack of the v20 rom from Seven, but it does say for boot loader unlocked devices only.

[Guide] Fix Signal and SimCard Issue in Android Marshmallow 6.0.1

hi,
before i had android 6.0.1 and i had signal, after flashing some Rom and changing csc my signal lost and only works on Android 5.1.1.
but now i found a way to fix this issue.
Guide:
Before of all take TWRP Backups.
1.Go to Android 5.1.1
2.Root and install TWRP Recovery
3.use GalaxyTools app to Unlock Sim UICC (Here)
4.use csc Changer and change csc to SPR (Here)
(use try with root mode and click change csc so use SPR and click install)
5.use step 3 again
6.go to Recovery and wipe All (cache,system,data etc.) and after that click Format and Format Partitions.
7.Download Stock 6.0.1 Rom and flash with Odin
8.Enjoy now your Signal issue is Resolved and you have signal in android 6.0.1

Good it works on marshmallow too ..

first install GTv3.1.5-1 and grant root access.
second install GTUpdate2_v3.1.8 and grant root access .now click on Update.
after closing app automaticly(restart phone).

? I tried using GalaxyTools 3.1.5 but when I press unlock it asks me for my control key.

I have issue with my cell phone Samsung Glaxy S6.I can not download multimedia messages. Error code" Download failed.Also I can not send multimedia messages

Have you unlocked the oem lock? Make sure the rooting procedure is updated.

yes i did unlocked the bootloader and also the oem lock option is grey in settings

If its unlocked and its g975+ use these FILES already patched with magisk and also have twrp in it. Just flash these using Odin. After flashing you must install magisk manager if not installed.
Edit. These files are from CAROTIX CARHDMOD thread and is android Q.

Wipe data from twrp then use multidisabler from ian thread flash it through twrp. Then reboot and report.

Download latest firmware jan patch from sammobile patch it with magisk app you already have. Download ian recovery for android Q patch this too and rename patched_recovery.img to recovery.img. Open patched firmware ap tar with 7zip put patched recovery in this tar. And flash it. If you wanna save whe data using HOME_CSC.
OR
Simply dirty flash beyond rom you will automatically upgraded to jan patch and also with lots of useful mods too.

Yes. You have all files.

Phone came today, seller has updated it to 10 ONE UI v2.0
So i will downgrade, as my current bootloader binary code aka 3 is the same as the last version of android 9, so i am able to downgrade, which i'd rather do to be safe, before i proceed with root method.

Downgraded to v9, all is well, but OEM UNLOCK was not showing in developer options, so did the change date to 8 days before trick and OEM UNLOCK is back

OK, i followed tut oem greyed out,and proceeded with install, all ok, now rooted after using disabler and installing magisk manager.
Also not sure if a new thing or need additional program on my laptop, but i can not transfer files from laptop to the sd card or internal of phone.
I get your path sdcard is not accessible alot?
Is this due to android 10? am i best installing another rom, pref v9
All the folders in internal of phone are not named as normal, just all mixed numbers and letters

You need to wipe data from twrp.
You must have to wipe data if rooting first time.
Anyways don't do any lengthy processes like downgrade or flash any firmware. Just wipe.
Turn off phone and boot into twrp by pressing power+volume up+bixby. Choose wipe then either format data or choose advance and wipe it.
