I tried that, it was stuck on the splash screen with the SAMSUNG logo loading then when I rebooted into recovery it didnt even revert to stock it was still CWM. And Odin stated that the process was done properly. Since then I've been playing around with ADB seeing if I can find a breakthrough. Any other solutions? Btw 868 to the world!

[Q] Help! hox keeps getting stuck on reset loops

i have had my hox for about a year and have used a few custom roms
my most recent was sentinel 4.75 with the kernel in the zip file
i tried to install probam 4.4.9 last week and it didnt work
reinstalled from a nandroid now and wifi doesnt work and it takes a while to find network
then it started reset loops
if i boot into fastboot and power down then leave off for 10 mins or so it would turn on fine
now i cant even get it out of the loop
i cant install any other rom (they all get stuck at logo on first boot) and the only nandroid that works is the last one ive done
have I "bricked" my phone?
or is there some corrupt file on my phone that I need to fix?
is there any fix?
Are you flashing the roms boot.img and clearing cache in fastboot?

yes
update
i have gotten out of the reset loop by going into recovery and loading that last nandroid with above mentioned limitations
i still cant manage to install a new rom
I am sure this cycle will continue repeating itself, the rom deteriorating slowly and having to restore from nandroid
what else can i do?

I have tried install another rom and no success
I was able to load an old nandroid but it would not connect to mobile network
I have restored to latest backup and am now getting occasional resets but it boots up after about 2 or 3 resets
Will try install sentinel 4.75 see how that goes
Looks likes its fixed!!!
I flashed philz recovery and tried some restores with no success
I was going to reinstall sentinel 4.75, rebooted in fastboot and loaded boot.img
when i went into recovery I realized I had forgotten to put the rom on my internal memory
I tried mount from recovery and it didnt work so I restarted to mount the device and copy rom onto the internal memory
It booted up and WIFI IS WORKING!!!
Looks like it is fixed and the only issue was a corrupt boot image?
Will try load another rom shortly and see if its all fixed
In philz recovery you need to wait for ums ...it needs time to mount...but its working normally and yea after or before flashing Rom you always need to flash in fastboot the boot.img

No, flashing another rom failed.
Good thing I know how to fix it now but still cant install new rom

Stuck on Samsung logo and no recovery

Hi,
My friend's note 2 got stuck on Samsung logo boot screen and whenever I access the recovery, it loads that android robot logo for a second and then restarts. I still have access to download mode, I have tried flashing a stock 4.3 rom, CWM and Philz recoveries with Odin but still same problem exists. I flashing using PDA button, should I try the bootloader or something?
The phone was on stock rom but she doesn't know the exact version and I assume it was on a 4.1.x rom.
Any help?
Thanks

Here is what you do,go into ODIN mode and get the .tar.md5 of philz touch 6.19 or twrp 2.6.3.2 flash it via odin and uncheck "auto reboot" that you see on the left side of the ODIN app,let the recovery be flashed in ODIN and once you see in GREEN saying RECOVERY PASS exit odin and using the vol down +home + power button keep it pressed until you samsung note screen let go of all buttons as soon as you see it and you're recovery will load within 5-10 seconds (twrp loads faster than philz) if you keep the buttons even after seeing the samsung note 2 message then it won't go into recovery, btw your friend's phone has she upgraded to official 4.3? or still on 4.1.2?

I tried twrp now with unchecking "auto reboot" and still same problem, I think you meant volume up not down as down will get me into download mode again.
It loads till the android robot recovery logo with the moving hollow cube , it keeps moving for a second or something "loading" and then phone restarts by itself and gets stuck on samsung boot logo again.
She doesn't know which android version she was on, she in not that much into phones so probably with factory rom "4.1.2".
After all these successful flashes, Odin still says:
Custom binary download: No
Current binary: Samsung official
System binary: Official

you might want to follow this guide and try to re root her phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896696 i followed that thread to root my note II ,but do remember that guide is only for users who are official 4.1.2 or 4.3 ,if your friend was on 4.1.1 you would need to download the official firmware from your country 4.1.2 that is and then follow the rooting guide, hope it works out for you,do let me know the end result
Just one and simple Question: Can you access "Download Mode" ?
Sent from Gallifrey using TARDIS
Try Wipe data and cache
I had this problem too after i clicked on factory reset in my rooted 4.3 n7100. Found the solution from a thread but i forgot where it was.
What I did was boot into recovery and perform "wipe data and cache". After wiping data, my note 2 are able to boot again...
NOTE: you will lose your data saved in your phone once you wiped it...

Please OP, try multi-package firmware !

Idk where you can find one (if i does exist because I mostly update my Note II using KIES)

Try use odin to re flash the twrp recovery 2.7.0.0-to3g version. It fixed my loop boot with out loosing all data
Hope this work for you too
If there's a bootloop, you may have to reflash the firmware. Hopefully you have the file on the external SD.
Try to reinstall twrp or PhilZ, wipe data, cache and dalvik cache and reflash the Rom anew.
Also check before whether you have the correct bootloader for the Rom you want to install! (e.g. MJ5 or else).
Greets and good luck!

Try mskips toolkit from skipsoft.net. There is a thread on here for it but it's closed because of Microsoft signatures. It has a recovery package. You may lose your data but it will fix the phone.

U said u flashed 4.3 in her phone isnt....
Just give it a try these steps..(warraty may void)..
1.Flash stock 4.3 rom once again into phone.. After reeboting remove battery.. Then put it back.. go into download mode
2.flash CF-Autoroot with odin (dont forgot to chek reeboot on odin). .
after reboot cf-autoroot autimatically starts its rooting process...(if it starts u won half the way)
If u have luck it will reboot into system..(wait for 5 mins in boot screen)
3.If it doesnt... try flash philz touch using odin into phone..
In most cases philz touch flashed after cf autroot fites the custom recovery... .
sometimes knox enabled bootloader wont fire custom recoveries instead it fires stock recoveries

If you flash using odin then no your internal storage won't be affected, however to get it to boot up you might need to do a wipe data/factory reset from recovery (doesn't delete the photos/files on internal memory card) otherwise it will just bootloop. Are you able to see anything on the screen at all?

hi team xda developers. i am stuck in a loop with my note 2 N7100.
I did root successfully to install dn4 rom. then i tried installing dn4 rom with twrp 2.3, which was latest updated. but not successfull. it gave error status 7. then read on some forum that new version is needed, so I flashed twrp 2.7. This time the installation of rom went successfull. But after successfull installation when i click reboot, it boots and open twrp again. tried going back to 2.3, tried cwm. but Now it is booting only in recovery mode and I cannot go any further. Please help
I have also tried clearing cache after successfull rom installation

You can use download mode and flash a stock rom and then try doing this whole procedure again. I believe you need to be on 4.3+ bootloader in order for it to work properly. Did you do a wipe data/factory reset before flashing the rom or not?
not done
Hi. Thanks for reply.
I flashed stock rom 4.4 from Samsung website. Then tried the whole thing again. It boots this time then displays new animated logo like note4. Plays the sound and then does not not further. I am now stuck on stock 4.4 rom

Tab 3 7.0 T210 just keeps soft bricking after a custom rom or kernel has been flashed

Hi guys, my galaxy tab 3 7.0 T210 version, just won't boot up after i've installed a new rom, or a kernel. So far i have installed official 4.2.2. kit kat android, from sammobile, and it works fine, but this tablet is so slow, and for that reason i want to use a custom rom, and kernel to overclock it's cpu, for smoother experience. first I tried installing just this kernel on the official 4.2.2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...kernel-werewolf-kernel-v001-sm-t210r-t2820573 and my device soft bricked, no problem i had a backup in TWPR recovery, so after that i tried to install this rom --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-3/development-7/rom-port-nolekat-v1-0-t210r-t2837338 and my tab soft bricked again, i recovered again and installed this rom --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2486388 and my tab soft bricked again, what am i doing wrong? please help.

1st - there is no official 4.2.2 for the T210. Only 4.1.2 and 4.4.2.
2nd - saying your device "soft-bricked" without any more info is pointless.
Provide more detail about how you flashed and wiped.

Yes, sorry, that's what i ment to say ''4.4.2'' misspelled i guess. It soft bricked like it sometimes stuck on the logo with Samsung when booting up, and sometimes booting into TWPR.
To install rom, i put the zip file in my device's internal storage (no sdcard) and then rebooted into recovery mode, and clicked ''Install'' then i selected the zip file, and off we go, it installed and when it was done, i clicked reboot system, and it just got stuck and kept restarting a couple of times, like it didn't boot up, it stayed in the smasung logo, and after a couple of times it booted into recovery mode, where i just recovered the backup i had made after installing the 4.4.2. and it booted and my tab worked, but i really want an overclockable kernel.
