Hello,
I'm on stock unrooted 5.0.2 TW right now (this problem occurred on stock kitkat as well, as well as supernova rom) and my touchscreen has a latency problem.
In Developer Options, on my S5 and Tab S, I enabled "Show touches." On the S5, the touch circle ALWAYS follows my finger and is almost always below it.
On my Tab S, the touch circle follows behind my finger by about a half an inch or so.
Any suggestions?

I would like to ask if any of you have any problems with the touch panel? I tried many versions of cyanogenmod and I always had problems with writing (especially with the letter "p" and its surroundings) and scrolling (from right to left). I have no problems on any other ROMs(like Wildpuzzle, jokerdroid etc), only with cyanogenmod(and cm based roms). Have you noticed this problem or is it just for me?
Just you? Everything acts like they should in my case. (I use the HTC keyboard though, but, scrolls are normal in any case)
Can you tell me what touch panel do you have?( i have SYN3KY_01 )
Yes even I have the same panel. Besides, it's logically not possible for a ROM to mess up a part of a touch screen. The only exception is when you install a lower version of RUU over a higher version, but, even that case, the entire touch panel (soft-)fails.
I have the same problem with the right side of the screen.
Dear Expert
This may be my personal preference and complaint hope this Q&A helps other users too.
I was used my touchwiz devices and used S-pen and s-memo, more extensively than most average users.
I even had chance to experience note 3 from my girlfriend, I used note I and II previous. Now, I switch out to Nexus and got Galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition. I couldn't help but feel very familiar to note 3. It felt really same the screen showed improvement but it just felt like they just moved everything from note 3 right onto 2014 note 10.1 if anything it felt really buggy. Buggy as my old 1st at&t tab 7.
---main concern: never were a fan of physical home button. Aesthetic point of view it may be hit or miss. I still don't know how it would look w/o it but the glossy, plastic-ky material is bigger issue. Home button is annoying reading or using in portrayed mode, a lot of review on internet mentioned it. Q1. does anyone know how to disable this? this isn't my priority.
Q2. (LIKE IN THE TITLE) I want to put to NAVIGATION BAR like nexus or like the old honeycomb devices so i'll have home, back maybe even menu at any orientation. I see people experimenting with rooted app / ROM but I was looking for stock option.
Q3. coming from using note 1 and 2, PAGE BUDDY. I saw twitter's "COVER" lock screen. it seems like a alternative but I would like permanently set layout whenever there's an action. Anyone find app alternative or repack .apk ?
lastly, can anyone point out how to transcribe script into text on memo? like what action memo does. I don't like action memo. I like pen button, double tap on screen to launch quick note much better. They should have made s-note versatile instead of make that separate. I really don't like pen action. NOTE 2 is far advanced and easy in usability than any note device. I maybe tuned into it I'm wondering if there's any other user feel the same?
Q2:
What you could do is modify the build.prop before you flash the rom. You open up the zip file and activate softkeys then flash it. You won't be able to activate the buttons without root after the firmware is already on the device. I don't know if modifying the build.prop will trip knox.

Hi all.
I have a strange issue with my Tab Pro 10.1, as you can see from the picture in the top left hand corner of the screen I have what appears to be a rectangle with curved corners, and a line underneath. This appears randomly, and when it does the only way to get rid of it is to reboot, it will remain on screen no matter what I am doing (games/video/browsing etc).
Has anyone else had this issue, and know what to do to stop it from occurring?
Couldn't see it at first, but it's there, top left hand corner of the pic, semi transparent. I've never had that on my Tab Pro 10.1 though. Looks like a generic smartphone representation. Are you on stock or are you rooted and/or custom ROM?

No, its straight stock rom from Samsung. Whatever the latest build is available OTA for the UK (I am at work so cant check it exactly at the moment). But it definitely is not rooted in anyway.
I upgraded to lollipop but some things changed and I was wondering if there was anyway to bring these back. I liked how there was the sound slider in notification center, it used the space more efficiently I think, now it's gone. Also the multitasking covers up the whole screen , before it was a little tray that slid out from the bottom. Anyway to bring these back?
Does anyone know a way to do this? Kit Kat recents and volume next to brightness on lollipop?
A few days ago my phone (Galaxy A7 2017) received the official oreo update. It's been great (although it bootlooped twice), but my concern is about the default touchwiz launcher. In the S9 and S9+ there's an option to toggle auto rotate in the home screen, but it doesn't show up in my menu, and I've heard that it doesn't show up in the S8 as well. Is there anything I can do to port this feature? I really like the stock launcher and I'm not rooted. Thanks in advance.
