htc desire 820 stucks at installing marshmallow update

i got marshmallow update for my desire 820n and after download it when installing a red rectangle with ¡ in mid of it appear and the mobil restart without installing any thing.......i reset it to factory reseting and try again but the same problem again.......i have tried again and again but the same problem happens.........any help.....thankyou

Strictly follow these instructions!
A method for producing a flow 5.0.2 5.0.2 with subsequent update to 6 mm 100% process working. install stock rekaveri , If you have unlocked bootloader , relock it, рut it on your external sd card not decompress zip archives(0PFJIMG.zip), boot into bootloader with volume - and power button. it will read the zip, and if it compatibel with your os it will aupgrade and you have to confirm with your buttons.

No, you only have to put the 0PFJIMG.zip to your external SD. Then it will give you an alert called: "Do you want to start update" or something others, you have to press the volume up button and then it's updating. But make sure you have stock recovery and locked bootloader, otherwise it will not work.

I did exactly what you say but i did not install stock recovery because my decice:
1) NOT rooted
2) locked bootloader
3) S on
HOW can i install stock recovery without rooting???

I did that but i did not install stock recovery because my device is not rooted......any ideas without rooting

Stock recovery can be installed without root i think. Try it

I read your post above. You don't need to install stock recovery because your device has already stock recovery due to locked bootloader and S-ON. Just put the file in root of ext sd and boot to hboot. It will ask to update. So press volume up to update. If it doesn't work after all the posts in xda, then you can contact HTC to fix that problem. Maybe they can find a fix for it or it is an known bug.

This method works for both variants (16 GB and 32 GB). I just whant to make an thread because 2 days ago i just bricked my nexus 5x 16 GB by lock bootloader with Resurection
Remix installed and with an custom recovery (TWRP). After 1 day of searching i give it up. Yestarday i just start again and i did it .
THIS WAS TESTED WITH AN NEXUS 6P ORIGINAL CABLE. DO NOT USE AFTERMARKET CABLES BECAUSE DON`T HAVE THE SERIALS PINS AND THE LGUP AND PC WILL NOT SEE YOUR PHONE IN DOWNLOAD MODE

Steps
1. Download TOT file for your device
2. Download LG usb drivers
3. Download LGUP tool
4. Download 8994 dll for LGUP
5. Install LG usb drivers
6. Install LGUP tool
7. Install 8994 dll for LGUP
8. Turn off your phone
9. Press and hold the volume_up key while you connect the phone to the PC with usb cable.
10. Wait for Windows to install the new drivers
11. Start LGUP
12. Put the TOT file like in the screenshot.
13. Push start and wait
14. Let the progress to 100 %.
15. The phone will boot and will recive and message about your internal memory problem (16 GB variant) because the TOT file is for 32 GB model.
ignore that message
16.Now unlock bootloader (enter in develop mode tick that button enter on bootloader and just use fastboot oem unlock press yes . The phone will factory reset and enter
again on the android)
17. Reboot to bootloader and move the arrows till see recovery mode ! Keep press the power button when the recovery animation apear and press twice vol + and wipe data/cache
like a factory reset, and then just use ADB SIDELOAD from recovery
18. Copy on the adb folder the Android N 7 OTA and use on the pc on cmd adb sideload name.zip , after finish reboot
19. The phone will enter on Android N 7 . BECARFULL BECAUSE AFTER BOOT YOUR BOOTLOADER IS LOCKED AUTOMATICALY AFTER ANDROID 7 N WAS INSTALLED.
20. Unlock the bootloader and now can be write the official android 6.0.1 (don`t try to write only after the android n 7 was installed because you will recive an error about system and internal memory
again the TOT file is for 32 gb)

I followed the steps, however at step 15 my phone just froze at the Google logo, but I have the 32 GB variant so that may be expected (Note that I enabled OEM/bootloader locking like an idiot when trying to solve this a few hours ago). I waited ten minutes and it remained stuck at that logo, so I rebooted into the bootloader, went into recovery, and ran "adb sideload bullhead-ota-nrd90m-fdb8250a.zip". It seems like it installed without any problems, except when I booted back to system, I got stuck at the four dots again...
Could any LG experts provide insight? I'm about to just have the phone replaced, but I'm flying across the country in less than a week, so I'll need a phone...

my bootloader was locked too ! let me know all details but if your phone boots in bootloader will work even your bootloader is locked ! so you need to have and original cable or compatible one because if you boot on download mode your pc don`t reconigze the phone ! aftermarket cables don`t have serials pins !
1. boot on download mode
2.write that TOT file (maybe you will remain stuck on google logo after you write the TOT file)
3.Enter on recovery mode wipe/cache and then use adb sideload to write the ota zip file (this will repair your partiton )
let me know if you figure it out ! I`m on USA on vacation but tomorow i will fly home and i will try to help you more !

it`s working with 32 gb too ! mine is 16gb i unbrick my phone with 32 gb TOT file.... thats the reason why i send via adb sideload the android n ota file to repair the partition table...

E:cant mount /cache/recovery/last_locale
locale is [(null)]
then i reboot and my phone stuck in boot and reboting again

after you flash the tot file your phone starts? Try after you write TOT file to enter on recovery and use wipe/cache factory reset and see if boot ! Don`t write the ota file only after you check if starts after you write TOT file. I will upload for you another OTA file to try with this. i will send you the link, it`s a beta one because when you use this OTA will erase everything and will repair the partitions and will lock the bootloader. Try with this OTA file. Try to boot after you write the TOT file. I was destroy 2 days when i bricked my nexus, i know how it is......! Let me know if you will win this time. I hope you will unbrick your phone

got to step 10 my phone was stuck at zero percent on the firmware update screen and the windows computer was not doing anything related to driver install

There is a combination of up and power button. Google how to get into stock recovery. This is what you see.

I've tried flashing 5.0.2 image which is 1.4GB and it was fine. This zip is 1.6.. and my desire says it's too big! Why? maybe there's smaller one?

What I wrote it and do it! After these steps, set Stock firmware and the phone will update OTA to 6.0.1

I think my bootloader is broken or something, it won't let me flash firmware. It just says that file is too big

Yes, it's european 820n one sim. Stock recovery flashed, relocked bootloader. still same error:crying::crying:

[HELP] Can't flash Stock 7.0Nougat via Stock Recovery...

I got a ZF3 Deluxe from Italy, is TIM branded, and stuck on MM 6.0, no updated released for this brand, so a friend of mine told me there is of course android 7 for ZF3Deluxe, so i wanted to manually upgrade system to 7.0 Nougat, i downloaded the Stock ROM from asus (2.15ghz cpu, i've checked of course) but when i try to flash it from the Stock Recovery i get this error (see the attachment) i also attach the software informations, (looking at the error i receive it may see the archive is corrupted, but i've tried to download it from Asus many and many times)

You have a carrier rom on your phone and the international version fails the upgrade check.
If you could get your bootloader unlocked that would be a way around it but you need to upgrade to a certain rom version to do that and the carrier hasn't supplied that rom...
You're essentially screwed until the carrier either releases the bootloader unlockable rom or upgrades the rom to nougat...

I got a ZF3 Deluxe from Italy, is TIM branded, and stuck on MM 6.0, no updated released for this brand, so a friend of mine told me there is of course android 7 for ZF3Deluxe, so i wanted to manually upgrade system to 7.0 Nougat, i downloaded the Stock ROM from asus (2.15ghz cpu, i've checked of course) but when i try to flash it from the Stock Recovery i get this error (see the attachment) i also attach the software informations, (looking at the error i receive it may see the archive is corrupted, but i've tried to download it from Asus many and many times)

You should try to flash stock recovery of WW in fastboot.
And then flash 6.0 WW rom by WW recovery.
Even though ,I didn't sure that if it will work(because I don't have Z016S),but you can try it.

Ok thanks, i can give a try, but where i can download the WW stock recovery? There is no recovery.img inside the WW_user.zip ROM

ZenFone 3 Deluxe ZS570KL_WW stock recovery

Ok guys, i think i've found a way to debrand my Zenfon 3 Deluxe, im testint the procedure right now, i will post the whole procedure if i succeed

Install : ADB & Minimal Fastboot.
Install : pyton 3.6 https://www.python.org/downloads/
Download the latest WW-4.12.40.1698 (For 2.15GHz CPU or 2.40GHz CPU) from Asus WebSite.
Download "Dat to img by stupdroid.com" (search it with google).
Extract Dat to img by stupdroid.com in a Folder.
Open the Firmware ZIP and copy system.new.dat, system.transfer.list e file_contexts in the Dat2IMG's folder.
Execute system.new.dat 2 flashable img converter.exe and just press ENTER and wait till the end of procedure, you will receive 2 files : system.raw.img e system.new.img.
Copy system.new.img in your Fastboot's folder.
Put the Phone into Fastboot mode.
Open fastboot and put this command: " fastboot flash system system_new.img "
Wait the end of flash procedure and type : Fastboot Reboot.
Enter recovery wipe data and cache.
Done.

I forgot to say, after this procedure, just flash the stock WW recovery via Fastboot, then download from asus the lastest 7.0 firmware SKU WW, all perfect. tested by me.

Ok I already have system.new.img, I copied it to the root folder of the SD. Device restart in Fastboot mode (power + vol.up key). Exit screen with message Fastboot mode and does nothing.
Install in the computer the pyton 3.6, I suppose that it serves for the process of generating system.new.img.
I do not know how to do the first step "Install: ADB & Minimal Fastboot.".

What version is your phone right now??
Now only have official unluck
For 2.15GHz:8996(None-PRO) UnlockTool
For 2.4GHz:8996P(PRO) UnlockTool
If you are WW version right now,try these tools.

or try flash ZenFone 3 Deluxe ZS570KL_WW stock recovery of 4.12.40.1698 and flash UL-Z016-WW-4.12.40.1698-user.zip in recovery (by micro sd or adb sideload)not sure if it work(need verification,I wish you to try first).

I can convert UL-Z016-WW-4.12.40.1698-user.zip img and flash with fastboot.
Reboot and it works, but I do not know how to get into recovery.
I have also installed the Z016-WW-4.11.40.1085_recovery.img. The TIM DISAPPEARED
Then I copied the UL-Z016-WW-5.14.44.1898-user.zip into the internal memory and it does not install well.
I have proven the same with UL-Z016-WW-5.14.44.1898-user.zip and it does not work me it stays in a non-comands and will not boot.

I have done this and it installs,
fastboot flash recovery Z016-WW-4.12.40.1698_recovery.img
reboot, boot system, detect update file is installed, reboot and then gives error (3) unknown.

Tow solution you can try
1.install the rom of 4.12.40.1698 again(some of tile,such as xbl,devcfg,devcfgbak..... may be still TIM versio.install it in recovery may turn it into WW version)
2.If fail, try flash these files in fastboot.(I will upload these files for you to flash,also you can draw by yourself)

Ok already worked, the solution is to unlock as you put in # 11.

How to lock oem bootloader ?

I unlocked my phone before and now can't be trusted making ota update (B130 to B183) impossible now, because i have phone unlocked and FRP lock, i tried to use fastboot mode to flash stock recovery.img (i had twrp), but it failed (command not aloowed) so i guess i need to revert back to oem lock because stock recovery.img and updates cannot be installed but i don't know the process... Any ideas ? Thanks !

Ok, i tried to flash stock firmware back using project menu so i can do SD Updrade (with dload folder containing update.app and other files) but unfortunatetly, when the process is going on for upgrading, it is sudddenly stopped by the Huawei eRecovery interface which shows up all the time and with an option to download lastest recovery via wifi but it fails too when i use this option...
I'm running the B130 version, i guess the downgrading to B120 cannot work ? because before the Huawei eRecovery showed up, i could see a quick message that the firmware current version (B120) is not correct.

i thought i could relock bootloader back using this B120 firmware, but do i need to download the full B183 firmware ? Then i use SD Card Upgrade via project menu ?
where can i find the official stock recovery for honor 8 pro ?

I already tired this method, it failed

ok...i was so desesperate that i used a tool called SRKTool Huawei where it was possible to lock boot loader, i tried it on my phone but unfortunately, it destroyed recovery image and now my phone keeps booting on fastboot mode like a loop trying to look for recovery image, i cannot even switch my phone off, it cannot be detected on my computer, i ****ed it up, my phone is useless now...

I guess i have to let my phone draining by itself because i have bootloop and long press on power seems to have no effect...

Ok, after fully decharged, i recharge my phone and now i am able to enter fastboot mode and i have :
Phone relocked
FRP Lock
Since it was relocked, everything was deleted, so there's no system, etc...
At this point, what should i do now properly ?
Do i have to use huawei extractor and extract Boot.img, Recovery.img, system.img from UPDATE.APP ?
And then flash them in fastboot mode ? But do i have to unlock oem again with my code ?
Edit: The UPDATE.APP should be taken from B120, B130 version ?

I tried to put update.app in dload folder of the SD card and then, tried to force installation using and holding power + vol up+ vol down, but it failed, it says :

Yes dowbload the updae.zip and dload .for apps of cust download thw full duk l09 .zip and dload again

I tried to reinstall with force upgrade, it fails again at 5% in hauwei erecovery:
"Software install failed
Incompatibility with current version
Pleasse download the correct update package"
Fastboot mode can only give me infos, but i cannot flash anything because of "...command not allowed", and force upgrade using Sd Card with any firmware compatible fails with the well known error message i posted above...
When i switch on the phone, it cannot boot up the system since i relocked phone from unlocked phone (which was rooted before), so it deleted data but it also deleted the boot and system i think.
The only thing i can access is Fastboot mode (Phone locked, FRP lock) and Huawei eRecovery which is useless.
In huawei eRecovery mode, under the Emui logo, you have "Download latest version and recovery" "Reboot" "Shutdown"...
When i use "Download latest version and recovery" using wifi mode, it tries to download but it fails when trying to get infos from server...
