How to turn off the D851 Upgrade Notification for Marshmallow? - T-Mobile LG G3

Hi all,
Just like the title says. I'd like to clear the notification for Marshmallow and have it not bug me. I'm running the 5.01 stock/rooted and have removed the T-Mobile stuff since I'm an ATT user. The phone works fine as is except for the phone app crashing sometimes. I've heard the Marshmallow software removes the ability to see what's playing on my car's monitor when paired to the car and playing music or other media, which is a complete upgrade killer.
So, until this gets sorted out, I just want to ignore the fact that there's an upgrade waiting, and remove the nags. How do I do it?
Marc

Somewhat answering my own question I did a long press of the notification and in the Google play settings I told it to never notify me. But I'm concerned it may now not notify me of app updates and stuff. Would prefer a more selective disable.

Notification sound issues

Hi everyone
I was wondering if someone could help me with this. Thing is I didn't want to upgrade to lollipop but the phone started restarting by itself, freezing and a screen with "facebook has stopped" or "google services has stopped" will appear constantly in the las few days. I had to perform a factory reset and when I did, the phone upgraded by itself to lollipop. Everything seemed to be working fine but now even I assign an specific notification tone for each contact whenever I receive a whatsapp message it will not work and the standard notification tone will sound instead. I was so used to identify whoever was whatsappin' me just by the notification tone and now I can't. Do you know if this is a common issue related to the lollipop upgrade? or does it have to do with the factory reset and I might need to uninstall/install the whatsapp app? If this has todo with the l upgrade it will be so frustrating because nowadays nobody on the world actually calls but texts and it is more useful to have an specific notification sound for each texter... Thank you guys
Try this
Install latest WhatsApp, & from WhatsApp settings set individual notification tones

Notifications don't show up on my watch

I'm using Samsung Galaxy S6 paired with Huwei watch. The notifications for all apps (messenger, whatsapp, inbox, etc.) do not show up on the watch. Only calls show up on the watch. The voice command (ok google) works also fine. So the connection is good and stable. None of the apps are blocked. If I do factory reset everything works fine, but only for a couple of days. Then I have the same problem again. Does somebody know what is going wrong and what I can do to fix it? Thanks in advance!
Do you have an app installed, that interferes with notifications, e.g. "Do not disturb"-apps, that enable and disable notifications under certain conditions?
This behavior is not a common problem (at least none of which I've heard of or experiencing myself), so I assume it has something to do with configuration/apps on your phone.
Another thought: Maybe you are using an app that causes a problem with the notification system on the watch (e.g. due to a software bug). So maybe this app somehow breaks the notification queue after it is received by the watch.
Maybe this app will notify only every couple of days and after it does you're not signaled any further notifications.
So just think of the apps you have installed. Which apps are not very common and do not notify every day? Block the notification to the watch of this app(s) and see if the problem still occurs.
I am using only the build in "do not disturb" function at night. Other than that no apps have a do not disturb function enabled. I will try to block various apps as you proposed. I'll start with clean master. There is a function on Samsung Galaxy S6 that allows to switch on notification access for various apps. It was off for huawei wear but on for andorid wear. Although I'm not using huawei wear this might have caused the problem. I have switched it on! Let's see if it helps! Thanks!
I can switch back to my S6 if you cant find out. Just post and let me know. I havent used it in a while.
Thanks guys, but I figured it out. Allowing huawei wear to access the notifications solved the issue!
How did you do? I mean how can I allow Huawei Wear to access notifications?
Thank you, I have the same problem...

You have to allow the Notification from the phone. I think it varies depending on your Android version. For me it's Settings- Notifications- Notification Access- then allow whatever you want to get i.e. Android Wear, Huawei Wear, etc.

LG G4 H815 Marshmallow and Business Calendar 2

Hi All,
This is kind of a "What has happened since upgrade" question. Got my Marshmallow upgrade a week ago but other than that everything worked as it should. I got fed up with the battery drain so decided to do a factory reset. All went well but I have a lingering issue with Business Calender 2 and "Do Not Disturb" I was wondering if anyone uses this app and could test something for me or comment.
I use Do Not Disturb from 10:30pm to 7am and I have all calls allowed through but no notifications I have no apps ticked as a priority so that to me means any calls I get, all notifications register but do not give any sound.
Business Calender 2 however manages to get round this somehow and no matter how I set it up other than totally silent BC2 notifcations are still audible while the system is on DND. I want to know if its normal or something I have done so am asking if anyone else can check in any way or has had experience.
All other apps, Chrome, whatsapp, text, FB etc show in the status bar but do not sound.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
As an update, I removed BC2 and even with the inbuilt calender app it does the same thing. I looked at an old G3 I had running 5.1 and that has a tick box to allow calender notifications which I didnt have ticked so I think maybe that when I upgraded the G4 from 5.1 to 6 that setting stayed somehow and then when I factory reset it was gone.
I will also note here that I have searched everywhere and it appears that native Android 6.0 has toggles for calender and events to let through on priority screen which they were on 5.1 but they are nowhere to be seen in my priority screen on my G4.. Very frustrating, where have they gone?
It is annoying though as no notifications to me should include the calender.
Oh well..
Guys,
Can I just ask someone here with a non rooted LG G4 running Marshmallow to put their phone into "Do Not Disturb" and then set a calender appointment while its in that state and let me know whether the notifcation is audible or if the "Do Not Disturb" suppresses it. That way I will know one way or the other as a rebuild to find out is a little excessive and I dont know anyone else with a G4.
Appreciated.

I confirm that the calendar reminder notification ignores the "Do not disturb" status and is audible. Strange indeed..

Not receiving notifications unless I wake screen in OnePlus 3 running Marshmallow

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone might have any suggestions on how I could disable the Android Marshmallow doze/deep sleep mode that is default on new devices to save battery. I have a OnePlus 3 and have made every effort to check that all my notifications for calendar, whatsapp, emailing, etc. are set to both vibrate and make a sound, disabled all battery optimization features for apps, tried using screenlock wake apps to avoid missing notifications, and more. However, I am still unable to get notifications for whatsapp, emails, calendar reminders and events once my screen goes to sleep or I lock then phone and it's idle (so after about 15-30 minutes of it sleeping), but calls and texts seem to come through fine (or at least I haven't noticed these being an issue as much). This is a HUGE inconvenience, as my main reason to have a smartphone is so I can check emails, calendar events and such right as I receive them, and not only when I wake up my screen (which then bombards me with all my previous missed notifications from hours before). I have a feeling this is an android 6.0 issue and not due to the OnePlus 3, because it's been reported in other sites and by people with phones also using either this OS or lollipop. My older Samsung galaxy S4 running kitkat never had these problems, and at this point I'm very keen on going back if I can't get my new phone (or this OS, as I predict) to notify me right away even when my screen is locked and phone asleep (I can't always remember to check it especially if I'm busy at work). I am willing to root the phone and change settings if that's an option, but I would please like to see if you guys have any other suggestions for allowing my phone to receive notifications right away even when in sleep mode/idle/dozing. Thank you for your time in advance. Oh last thing, I also posted this question in other forums because I am honestly quite desperate to find out what I can do to resolve this issue, so I'm sorry if that's an inconvenience...

Problem solved
Oneplus just released a new oxygen OS update which takes care of the notification issues. But to resolve this before this OTA came out I rooted and disabled the doze mode with dumpsys deviceidle. So all is good now!

Problem was NOT SOLVED with 3.2.1 OTA you still need to disable Doze in order to fix it.

Honor 7X BND-AL10 official Oreo problem

Hello all,
I am using the Chinese version - AL10. I'v eused the Huawei Firmware Finder to update to official Oreo for my variant. After the update I am using BND-AL10C00B352 (8.0.0.352) Firmware and I am experiencing strange problem.
The phone is acting very good overall and the battery life is also quite accurate. However, since I moved from Nougat to Oreo several times a day I am not receiving my notifications.
This is happening randomly no matter if I am on WiFi or 4G mobile data. Both mobile data and wifi are set to stay turned on and all applications that are supposed to run are marked to run in background and be killed. However, strange thing is I am not receiving the notifications when the screen is off. When I unlock the phone I immediately receive all notifications at once. This looks to me like notification or battery management problem.
My question is - have someone of you experienced such behavior and how to fix it? Or just wait for new update?
Is someone of you using official Oreo also as me and does he faces also another issues?
Since Nougat was pretty stable for me, I am thinking if I can "revert" or "rollback" to the stock Nougat or latest Nougat update - B192 for me as far as I remember?
is there a way this to be done easily?
Please, help!
Thanks!

I have also the same type of notification problem. I see it posted in several thread. Not found solution yet.
initially I set the application launch options to manual and allow to run in background and all I need. Actually I've never tested the Auto mode for this battery background management so now I've turned the auto mode for all applications and will monitor to see if there is a change in the behavior. Some guys in a russian forum told me that this is probably caused by the "deep sleep" in which the phone is going when not used for a long time. And sometimes even if wifi and mobile data are ON during sleep, the internet connectivity is still being interrupted and in the moment you unlock it, it comes back from deep sleep and you receive all notifications.
I agree this sounds reasonable, but I am trying to find a way to overcome this behavior because this is really annoying. If I am not able to fix it, I will be forced to go back to .192 7.0 firmware. I am now look for a way to easily do that in case I need to do it anyway.
