Introduction
Tronsmart is well known as regards Mini PCs, but in the last months they are focusing on the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology designing high-performance chargers for Home and Car usage. In this review i’ll test their latest Desktop Charger with QC 3.0 support and VoltIQ technology.
This is the Tronsmart U5PTA Quick Charge 3.0 Rapid Desktop Charger.

This is the updated version of their previous charger, now with QC 3.0 support instead of the previous QC 2.0. Comparing both version on their website I can’t see any major difference except the QC 3.0 support so only the internal motherboard should be different.
Unboxing
Packaging comes with a Power Cord (mine is an European variant), a Welcome Paper, a curious VoltIQ Technology Guide and the Desktop Charger (of course).
Unlike previous QC 2.0 version, there isn’t an USB Cable included. Nothing really important though, you can find some good and cheap USB Cables on Amazon or similar shops.
As regards the Charger, it is made of Plastic. It feels solid enough, but be careful with the glossy frame because it can be scratched pretty easily. Also, as you can see on the bottom, it is pretty compact, maybe just a bit too much thick. It isn’t heavy too.
There are 5 USB Ports available, just one of them support Quick Charge 3.0. The other USB ports supports Standard 5V output, just with another technology called “VoltIQ” from Tronsmart that works on the voltage depending on the attached device. It seems to work pretty fine, maybe the voltage is just a bit low (4.98v) under high-load. Follow my next paragraph to know more.
Efficiency
I have tested the device using my RAVPower QC 3.0 Power Bank and using my 1A/2A USB Capacitor to stress everything to the maximum.
Just watch my video on the bottom if you want to see something about it.
Also, internal components don’t make any kind of strange noise on high-load unlike some other bad chargers.
Conclusions
It seems that Tronsmart is following its good way to produce devices as they did with Mini PCs. This is a nice device that may satisfy your requirements if you have to charge lots of devices and one of them is powered by Qualcomm Quick Charge technology.
So, do I recommend it? It depends on you. I know, there are many chargers available on the market that have almost the same characteristics, so it might be difficult to choose between them. If you trust Tronsmart products and you want an high-quality product, then get this charger.

Unboxing
Packaging (eco-friendly) doesn’t come with any accessory, just the Instruction Manual, a Warranty Card and the Charger (of course).
Unlike some other devices, this one supports QC 3.0 directly with the USB Type C port. Sincerely, I find it a bit confusing because if you don’t own an USB Type C device, you’ll need to use an USB Type C adapter in order to take advantage of the Quick Charge technology, otherwise you’ll be limited with the Standard VoltIQ USB Ports, without QC tech. It would have been better if this adapter was included.
As regards the Charger, it is made of Plastic, extremely solid and without useless glossy parts that can be scratched easily.
There are 3 USB Ports available, just one of them support Quick Charge 3.0 (USB Type C). The other USB ports supports Standard 5V output, just with another technology called “AIO” from AUKEY that works on the voltage depending on the attached device. It seems to work pretty fine, without voltage issues. Follow my next paragraph to know more.
Also, it is pretty compact, and fits perfectly every type of Car Socket.
Efficiency
I have tested the device using my 1A/2A USB Capacitor to stress everything to the maximum. Unfortunately I can’t test its Quick Charge capability because I need to buy an adapter first, i’ll update this review as soon as I get it. I still have tested the USB Type C port, and it works as good as other USB ports. (5V/3A)
As you can see, under 2A load the voltage is just perfect, 5.00v (on the left, test done in-car). Only at home (on the right), while using a Car Socket adapter, it dropped a bit under 5.00v (4.98v), nothing really important, it probably depends on the Voltage Input that at home might be lower due to the different power supply.
Internal components do not make any kind of strange noise on high-load unlike some other bad chargers.
Conclusions
As always AUKEY releases great accessories, with excellent quality. This device solves almost every problem that you could have if you need to charge multiple devices at the same time, and the Quick Charge could be a life-safer if you forgot to charge your device at home or if you need some urgent battery juice. It’s a pity that they haven’t included any adapter in order to not sacrify Micro-USB devices, but considering its price it is something that could be accepted. Maybe in the next version/revision they’ll include it? Let’s hope so.
So...do I recommend it? Yes, especially if you have an USB Type C device that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge and if you need to charge multiple devices at the same time.
Pros:
- 3 USB Ports (one of which is Type C)
- Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 Support
Cons:
- No Power LED
- Quick Charge available only on the Type C port

Unboxing (QC 2.0 on the left, QC 3.0 on the right)
Luckily I had the oppurtunity to compare both devices, so you’ll see both variants.
Both versions come with an eco-friendly packaging and basic accessories: 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x Power Plug (mine is an European Version), 1x User Manual, 1x Warranty Card and the Charger (of course).
As regards the Charger, it is made of Plastic, pretty solid but with glossy sides that can be scratched easily, handle it with care. No Chassis differences are there between the two versions, so it makes me think that the only difference is related to the internal motherboard.
There are 5 USB Ports available, and one of them supports Quick Charge (depending on the model you choose, it can be QC 2.0 or QC 3.0). The other USB ports supports Standard 5V output, just with another technology called “AIO” from AUKEY that works on the voltage depending on the attached device. It seems to work pretty fine, without voltage issues. Follow my next paragraph to know more.
As regards the size, this is probably the smaller Multi-Port Charger I have ever tried, super-compact.
Efficiency
All tests have been done using AUKEY’s Cables, in order to get maximum efficiency and to avoid any possible issue.
First of all, I have tested the “AIO” USB Ports using my USB Capacitor (1A/2A), and it is clearly noticeable that there are no issues at all. Stable Voltage.
In order to show you differences between the two Quick Charge versions, I want to show this image (found on the net) first.
So, as you can read, Quick Charge 3.0 uses Dynamic Voltage (starting from 3.2v up to 20v), while Quick Charge 2.0 uses 3 Voltage Steps (5v-9v-12v).
Let’s start with the Quick Charge 3.0 variant, as soon as I have plugged my QC 3.0 power bank, the charger reduced its voltage from 5v to 3.3v, then it gradually increased. At 5V it was able to handle more than 3.5A! That’s even higher than Official Quick Charge spec.
After a while, the voltage increased again, now to 7.24v with 2A load more or less. And so on, up to 12V.
With the Quick Charge 2.0 variant, as soon as I have plugged the power bank, the voltage increased from 5V to 9V, but just for a little while, then it instantly increased to 12V with more or less 1.8A load.
The difference is clearly noticeable, and it is also clear that QC 3.0 version is much more advanced than the previous version. This doesn’t mean that QC 2.0 isn’t good, but it is just different and less efficient.
Conclusions
As always AUKEY accessories are quality-made, efficient and cheap enough. It’s a pity that they choose to use a glossy surface on the sides, but there are no other negative aspects.
So...do I recommend it? If you need to charge multiple devices, and if you have a Quick Charge device, then...Yes. Be careful to choose the right variant depending on your device’s CPU, or just go for the Quick Charge 3.0 variant to avoid mistakes and to be futureproof.
Pros:
- Qualcomm Quick Charge Support
- Compact and Solid
Cons:
- No Power LED
- Useless Glossy Sides

I bought the 3.0 version and it's great. It's constantly plugged in, charges all my usb devices (garmin forerunner, lezyne bike led light, smartphone etc) and it doesn't get hot.
Plus it's ready when I replace my phone for something with qualcomm quick charge
Great little charger for a very reasonable price.
PA-T15 Port failed
Hi All, bought one of these though Zapals one of the 5 ports failed 2 weeks after i started using it.
Came complete with AUKEY warranty card in original unopened packaging. Went to AUKEY website for warranty and found out they only provide warranty on items purchased direct from them or through Amazon.
Zapals has a 6 month warranty only and you have to ship the lot back at your expense for them to consider that. I am anm overseas customer so its a cost, inconvenience and disappointment.
Poor service by Aukey i would say.

Unboxing
The Solar Charger is packaged into an eco-friendly packaging and basic accessories: 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x User Manual, and the Solar Charger (of course).
Just like all Solar Chargers, also this one has a Synthetic Foldable bag where the three solar panels are inserted together with the USB Adapter that provides 2x USB Ports using the power obtained from the Solar Panels.
The USB Adapter is hidden into a slot, where there is enough space to fit a Smartphone or anything else that is slim and compact, providing maximum 1A (somehow not 2A) of Output Power. I'll talk about its performance in the next paragraph.
As regards the Solar Panels quality, i do not see any imperfection or such that would make me think negatively about their quality.
Efficiency
All tests have been done using my own USB Meter, and under direct sunlight for best results.
On Idle the output voltage stays on 5.00v, matching USB specifications.
I have tested the USB Ports using my USB Capacitor (1A/2A), and the voltage seems to get a bit low on high-load, but nothing serious. 4.83v are still accepted by the USB protocol.
With 2A load well...the Adapter isn't able to obtain enough power to handle such high power output (shutting down the output) so...based on my measurements, this is a 1A Adapter, not a 2.4A variant as specified by Archeer.
Conclusions
Based on Specifications and Product Details this might seem one of the most powerful Solar Chargers available, but as you can see, unfortunately, it isn't. Even though this has been rated for 2.4A, even under direct-sunlight in a clear day, i wasn't able to handle more than 1A from the USB Adapter.
So...do I recommend it? If you are a light user that doesn't need to charge any powerful device that would require more than 1A, then this is a good choice, otherwise i can't recommend it.
Pros:
- 2x USB Ports
- Portable
- Micro-USB Cable included
Cons:
- No Flashlight
- No Quick Charge
- 1A Maximum Output lower than declared 2.4A

Unboxing
This accessory comes with an standard packaging (not eco-friendly unfortunately) and some accessories: 1x Protective Pouch (nice quality), 1x Power Plug (mine is an European Version), 1x User Manual, 1x User Satisfaction Card, 1x Warranty Card and the Charger (of course).
As regards the Charging Station, it is made of Plastic, entirely covered with a rubber-coating, a bit fingerprint unfriendly but it guarantees an excellent grip on the Desk.
On the front, there is an useful Power LED (Blue) that could be pretty useful if you need to find the charger in a dark room or just to know if it has been plugged properly to the power socket. Just like another Charging Station i have reviewed, its color doesn’t seem to change, so it is just a standard Power LED.
Being a Charging Station, it couldn’t have had few USB Ports. There are 6 USB ports available that support Standard 5V output (2.4A max each, but also more, check my next paragraphs to know more), i don't know what the "IM" word means though. (some other technology name made by AllMaybe, maybe)
As regards the size, it isn't super compact, a bit thick compared to others, nothing serious to complain about though.
Efficiency
As always, all my tests are made using high-quality cables (with 20AWG or 22AWG power lines) in order to get the best results. AllMaybe doesn't provide any USB Cable, neither they produce them as far as i know, so i had to go with other brands cables.
On idle, the voltage is just fine: 5.17V. Increasing the current to 1A, it decreases to 5.09V.
Let's start with the real stress test, with 2A of Load the voltage decreases to 5.03V, and with more than 3A of Load (over-specs, do not do this frequently or for long-period usage otherwise you risk to fry the USB Port) it decreases to 5.00V. Great Results!
Something i noticed is a slight buzzing noise coming from the charger on idle, it isn't annoying, but if you place your ear on the charger it is noticeable.
Conclusions
Well, this is the first charger i review from AllMaybe, a brand that was completely unknown to me, available officially on Amazon.com only (excluding other chinese e-shops). What to say, there are lots of Desktop Charger available on the Market currently, some of them with Qualcomm Quick Charge support, others with a different number of USB ports, etc. so can this one be considered too? My reply is: so and so.
I am not saying that this isn't a good charger, it is powerful (see my risky stress test i made) and solid, but it lacks something that, i think, everyone would have expected.
Nowadays Type-C ports and Quick Charge devices are becoming the new standards so the release of a standard 5V charger may be a bit risky. If you are looking for a powerful standard USB charger with lots of USB Ports, i can definitely recommend it, if you need QC Support or anything else, this isn't for you.
Pros:
- Lots of USB Ports
- Powerful
- Rocking Stable Voltage Regulation
- Power LED
Cons:
- No Quick Charge
- No Type-C Ports
- No USB Cables included
- Slightly noisy on Idle

Hi Alberto,
Thanks for your unbiased and honest review. We really appreciate your help and your advice on our product. Yes, we totally agree that a standard charger can not best meet people's need nowadays, so we are developing two QC3.0 chargers at present. They are expected to be available in April. Please keep tuned.
It's true that the charger is not amazing for its size or appearance. It has no advantages in these, but I hope you will love it more and more since you will find it quite durable and long-lasting. Performance is quite good too.
Meanwhile, please allow me to specify some concerns in your review. IM means "Intelligent Management" the same technology as Power IQ of Anker or Aipower of Aukey. Your guess is right.
We have an official website www.allmaybe.com.
This charger is officially available on both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca. Also, it can be found on ebay and aliexpress. We have our official stores on these platforms at present.
Thanks again for your time and help.
Regards,
Allmaybe

Compared to other charger i have reviewed in the past, this is interesting since it comes with 5V/1A USB ports too, useful to slow charge some devices.
The build quality is OK, nothing to complain about, there are no matte surfaces luckily and the plastic feels solid with no imperfections. Also, it is pretty compact and reasonably lightweight.
Unfortunately the amount of accessories included is quite limited, just a small manual and the Power Cord (EU in my case). I always prefer to see at least one USB cable included in any charger.
Talking about the power output instead, all tests have been made using my semi-professional USB Load + Tester.
Starting with the Quick Charge 3.0 port, this is working almost fine, and i say almost because it doesn't seem to reach 12V for some reason. At 5V though there are no issues in reaching 3A as rated.
The 5V/2.4A USB output is good enough, the voltage drops slightly at maximum rated load (4.91v) but perfectly acceptable. Increasing the load up to 3A (over the rated specs) causes the voltage to drop a lot, unusable for charging, but it doesn't trip the protection. Over 3A, it trips.
Finally the 5V/1A USB outputs. Both ports provide excellent voltage at 1A as rated, and you can squeeze up to 1.2A before tripping the protection.
Just to complete the review, here are the UGREEN 180 degrees Type-C Cables with 56k resistor. Do they work as well as the charger? The answer is, sort of.
Quality-wise they are decent, with nice colors and a semi-rubberized cable, but they tend to scratch a bit easily based on my usage (just like all rubberized surfaces). The rotated Type-C Plug is really useful though, all cables should be available in this format IMHO.
There is a 0.11A of loss compared to the direct connection, that is still OK for charging, but it won't handle 3A properly unless the charger pumps the voltage up over 5V, something that this UGREEN model doesn't so i recommend you to use those cables with another charger for 3A charging. BTW, UGREEN declares 22AWG for the power wires for those interested.
In conclusion, this charger is an interesting one with a decent power output and excellent build quality.
