Mod. KitKat 4.4.3 [UNIVERSAL]Stock-Aosp-CM11-Volume plus v3.2 (13/02)

Hello Friends,
how many of you at least once you will be complaining about the sound volume too low in our Nexus 4? Personally several times! Until now we were forced to rely on Kernel which included the drivers needed to increase the sound.
With this mod all this will belong to the past, in fact with any kernel with any ROM, you can finally have a powerful sound.
You can simply enter the recovery is flash my MOD, reboot your Nexus 4.
The MOD is available in 3 variants 88 -90 -92 according to your needs, I also include a zip to return to the standard volume.
INSTALLATION:
1. Download zip favorite
2. Copy of nexus 4
3. get into recovery
4. flash zip
5. restart
6. have fun, but do not disturb the neighbors :laugh:
UPDATE:
before performing an upgrade version of the flash revert_to_stock
This MOD can be inserted into any rom, just ask to be contacted and at least one thank you!

I'm sorry but this mod has nothing to do with the wifi, so I can tell you for sure that your problem is related with the MOD. You'll definitely did something else before or after avrer flashed my MOD. However, there is also a file to restore the original file, that is flashing check if your wifi works.

I know that, but is strange. Everytime i flash the mixer paths.xml the wifi doesnt connect to the router. Back to stock and its working again.
I try in home router and report back

It seems strange to me too, I use it for months, tested on all 4.4 roms never had any kind of problem ... also examining why the file is modified, on the inside there is no dependence with wifi, even the wifi does not have any dependencies the file in question.
if you want to be 100% sure you do a Nandroid backup of your rom then do a nice wipe system, flash your clean rom and run the flash of my mod, you'll see that everything will work perfectly.
out of curiosity what kind of rom do you use?

Brother WiFi is not working after flashing this file o can confirm this don't know what is issue please check it

I just reneter the ip address manually and now is working.also seems that is broke root.i had to reflash the su binaries.dont know what is wrong

Since moving the file manually it works ... I check the update script zip.

Version 2 has been tested on up to 10 different rom based on stock, CM11, AOKP. please re-flash your rom without doing any wipe is see if it all works then put the mod.

uhhh this zip only contains a Ds.apk and a dolby config which is the stock file of M9's BoomSound presets :s am I missing something here?

why do you use/took xposed framework installer and just added some files into it, which even won't really flash properly..

sorry everyone put in the wrong zip file thanks for the heads up :good: accidently deleted the wrong file had to do it over again lol its fix and ready to flash as just tested it myself

It's an updated Ds.apk and its not a stock file its been modified which is to make the speakers more louder.

sorry to say, but it sounds weird on headphones and also speakers output is even worse then stock

didn't tried yet, but since this needs sense rom, you need to edit the HTC_audio_effects.conf in /system/etc/ not the audio_effects. where did you take the libs from?

New updated made more fixes boomsound setting and presets works like a charm now. Backup if some settings are broken from your rom send your build.prop for a fix :good:

sorry am not on sense rom for now, and when i switch back i will either install viper10 when it's out or ICE10 port.

it breaks audio on htc music player and kills boomsound on ICE10 port.
and why you put a complete build.prop inside the zip, instead of making a script which changes only th things it needs.

My understanding is that when /system/framework/com.motorola.frameworks.core.addon.jar is present
com.motorola.camera.device.framework.CameraMotExt.<clinit> fails to find class "android.hardware.Camera$EnvDetectCallback"
So I emptied out the static method (<clinit>) and initialised a couple of variables outside.
I used DexPatcher to modify it.
Then the behaviour is the same as if /system/framework/com.motorola.frameworks.core.addon.jar wasn't there.
Clearly this is a workaround not a fix. It would be nice to know why it can't find the class and fix it so that "CameraMot" is supported (I guess this is some hardware optimisation)

Thank you for this. After I deleted those files, an FC message saying "Motorola Settings" has stopped would greet me at every boot. This'll take care of that.
I don't believe it has anything to do with video recording though, does it?

I didn't see issues with video recording either with the patched Moto camera and deleting the .jar files, or using this Moto camera as is. The Motorola settings seems to pop up whenever, but dismissing it doesn't seem to cause issues with the camera app or the system itself - curious!

It can't be updated or it would loose the patch.
Quality wise I would say it's close to stock but probably a little below (can someone confirm this?)
For now I think this is the best we can get for non stock roms.
If someone wants to step up and try to get a proper fix that would be ideal.

INTRODUCING DUAL AUDIO MOD FOR TULIP (REDMI NOTE 6 PRO)
What does it do(currently)?
This mod actually enables the earpiece speaker also along with the bottom-firing speakers. So you have a dual speaker config like the HTC10 has where the purpose of the speakers are same. The loudspeaker is untouched but the earpiece behaves like a mid-range booster and adds some more detail for the speaker audio output.
This mod will works on Any Rom (Stock and Custom) {Root Required}
Installation
1. Download " mixer_paths.xml " file from attachments below.
2. Move above downloaded file to " vendor > etc "
3. Rename the exists file to mixer_paths.bk so you can turn this MOD off when required.
NOTE: USE THIS MOD AT YOUR OWN RISK, USING THIS MOD AT HIGHER VOLUME LEVELS MAY DAMAGE YOUR EARPIECE SPEAKER.

Neat, but do we need to move the file with TWRP? I've been trying to do it with FX, but it won't allow me to modify the file because I guess Magisk is controlling /vendor.

Try to move it using Root explorer pro or solid file explorer. Don't forget to backup original file first.

Well, I tried with a terminal, but for whatever reason the partition won't mount as RW. It persists as RO, which I imagine is Magisk's fault like I said. I'm gonna try with TWRP and report back.

Yes, it is compatible. The file is exactly the same. If anything goes wrong you can just uninstall the module like any other magisk module. Also, what permissions are you talking about? This mod is plug-and-play.

Thanks for the link but the patched clip sounds even worse. It has a more scratchy and distorted sound almost like a gain increase. I guess the mics in these phones are of low quality and then it doesent matter how high bitrate is used if the hardware itself is not up to the task.

Can I use this mod with MIUI 11? I'm currently running

Yes, you can, and you may use Viper as Viper is only a filter and doesnt touches system files (at least from my understanding), also, Viper doesnt use the recording files of the device anyways. Youre also right about taking a backup, though, you can just flash the Magisk uninstaller through TWRP.

Mine is always stuck on redmi logo when restart then after that it will restart 1 more time then boot on fastboot
