CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Will this conflict with any mod I'm using?
A: As long as it doesn't have any entropy related stuff, its okay. Since the kernel already comes with an inbuilt entropy generator, it will conflict with the ones from mod, causing a poor, stuttered performance!
Q: Deep Sleep isnt working for me, Google Services causing wake-locks, what to do?
A: Go to settings, Privacy, Privacy Guard, All apps, long press Google Services, and deny/disable wake-locks! (Thanks to @Paget96 for the solution)
Q: Which version should I flash
A: Flash kernel with model number (E612), don't use (E610) or you may have problems with deep sleep
Q: Which frequency is the safest
A: The default frequency, 800MHz, is the safest!
But, there's no harm in overclocking upto 1100MHz.
You MAY face some issues on 1100MHz-1100MHz, but 1050MHz is stable as 'rock'!
Q: WiFi doesnt work for me
A: Reflash ROM and Kernel
Q: How to logcat?
A: Here
A problem in ROM not reported?Make a logcat post here

Hi All,
Found one really interesting Delta-gapps package, where you get option to choose which add-on you wanna install
(If you prefer to have app on system partition)
[4.4.4 / 5.0.x / 5.1]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=58047099
Omg ! So fast and Smooth ! Maybe battery life is better ...
CWM/TWRP recoveries
For those, who don't know or don't remember, here are CWM/TWRP recovery images. Needs to be flashed only once to work.
Sometimes no audio when calling (works for a while after reboot). Also when calling, a blank screen appears from the phone activity making the transition ugly. Bootscreen is a bit large too
Nice rom , thx for your work.
Seems here come with great respond from other, and now i want try to move it too
AOSP I'm coming!!!
and this rom isn't big like other cm or fxp build, is only 212 mb.

no such issue here. can more users confirm sometimes no audio when calling ?
problem on bootanimation that not fit on screen, on first boot is only black, and after a few second android logo is out.
but isn't critical problem so far
some wifi icon connection state problem, this like icon connection state isn't fit on wifi icon
and for mobile connection data is always show 3g although my connection is HSDPA + when i check on sim information
that's first report from me
Just noticed a problem with location. While location is on and GPS seems to work it says "No apps have requested location". For some reason apps can't access gps. I suspect this and the previous issue with no audio in call might be caused by gapps. Can anyone point me to a tested package of gapps? I used the one by cm12.1
Keyboard Force close ,But imidiately gone ,every time going in settings and pressing back button

Note: this rom has a gapps package in the flasher witch means the flasher intalls to os first with no gapps, then it access a folder named "gapps" to flash the package next so you dont have to, its a minimal package and we did it like that so it dowsnt infinge googles terms with Cyanogenmod.

Gamerrom promises fast a stable gaming gr5 was the only rom to beat other os's from speed and less lags, im a gamer so i built it by a gamer for gamers, and 50fps only applies when running a app or games, however all s4s run differently

A: Flash kernel with model number (P705), don't use (P700) or you may have problems with deep sleep
Q: Which frequency is the safest
A: The default frequency, 1008Hz, is the safest!
But, there's no harm in overclocking upto 1200MHz.
You MAY face some issues on 1200MHz-1300MHz, but 1150MHz is stable as 'rock'!
Q: WiFi doesnt work for me
A: Reflash ROM and Kernel
Q: How to logcat?
A: Here

Awesome!
Excellent!!!

bugs problem
i have installed the ROM and GAPPS, but there are more bugs which closes application automatically,
and some times trying to install the gapps which u have givn is not installing properly, pls do check on it:good::fingers-crossed:
How to enable the flashlight with the code given in the OP's post?
Also I am not able to install gapps, it says insufficient storage in /system. I have tried wiping system and then installing the rom and then the gapps, still shows the same error. Tried OPs gapps in his post as well as from opengapps and other minimalistic gapps files, still the same error.

You have to type that code in Terminal. Go Settings>Developer options>Local Terminal to enable it.
Idk what to do about gapps too.

Thank you for your reply, i will try that.
But before that, even my RIL is not working. I am on v20 baseband as it used to work OP's CM11.
As for the system partition, only 51MB is left after installing the ROM, so i guess no way even the pico apps could install coz google play services alone is of 49MB.

RIL is not working? It works for me.
That 49mb gapps package ia about 84mb when it is unpacked, that is a problem :/
Btw install VeeKernel4(if you didnt already) it will give you a little boost and option to Overclock.

Well it didnt seem to work for me. I have switched back to OP's CM11 and RIL works there.
I might try back this ROM when the system partition is fixed or the gapps are flashable properly.

Instructions - READ! READ! READ!
Valid for everyone! Please, don't ask repetitive questions if you haven't followed the procedure, you'll be ignored.
- Unlock Bootloader (Google it).
- Download and extract the file.
- Install a compatible Recovery (TWRP) - this is not mandatory, but needed for flashing GAPPS (Google it).
- Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM (Mandatory - fastboot is finicky in our phones and fails some times!)
- Wipe system, internal data & cache partitions.
- Flash both extracted files (Google "Minimal ADB Fastboot" and "Google USB drivers"...):
Code:
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
- If fastboot fails, go back into recovery, do the wiping again, reboot to fastboot, it will work this time. (don't ask me why, Asus' stuff...)
- Optional: Go into recovery right after flashing and install Google Apps (OpenGapps, x86, 6.0, any version) (Google it).
Broken Features / Known Issues
DT2W - Double Tap to Wake doesn't currently work. ROM is fixed up, however the kernel needs fixing - will come in some days - use volume rocker for now. - SOLVED. Will be included in next release, should there be one.
FM Radio is unsupported - if you don't like it, go back to stock.
Shown baseband info is wrong. I don't care at all, won't be fixed - if you don't like it, go back to stock.
Lights are a bit buggy - If the phone is charged, the notification lights don't work anymore - likely a kernel fix as well.
SELinux is disabled and will NEVER be enabled. Our phone is not that powerful, so having it disabled improves performance - if you don't like it, go back to stock.
FullHD recording has dropped frames - go with HD 720 - likely not fixable.
Not all microSD cards are born the same - adoptable storage may or may not work for you.
Google Apps may be a little sluggish on the first run - ROM is odexed but GAPPS are not (building cache).
ROM is rock stable, I didn't observe any reboots in several days of use - if you don't like it, go back to stock
If you have the phone with 2GB of RAM, this will fly on it - if you don't like it... Well...

Yes you can update now Twrp to 3.3.1.
Btw I didn't tested GAppps. So if it's not working just remove it.

Ok, just remove GApps and see how it's working ... later you can install nano or pico, not full version of GApps !
EDIT :
Full version of GApps it's not recommended at all as there is just a Betta LOS 17.0 !
Awesome!, thanks for providing full source.
I'm getting the same error "com.qualcomm.qcrilmsgtunnel" keeps crashing until I manually close the app on clean install, I have a tablet with no sim. Other than that the tablet seems to be working fine.
After installing opengapps android setup crashes repeatedly, but after disabling android setup, play store works as normal.

Thanks, I didn't know if the 'android setup' was important or not. Have disabled it and all quiet now.
I tried a few version of GAPPS10, Pico, Nano etc. and still got the errors. Once 'android setup' disabled now issues.
Thanks
Installed without GApps. Seems fine so far. Will test more once it completes charging. Thanks for all your hard work man. you have really enhanced the overall experience with this tablet.

Thank you for feedback!
Hi I try to test this rom, very nice!! But it still has many bugs, but I'm sure it will improve over time! Report that it is present some bugs, when start cpuz app the device restarts suddenly, Chrome some times stop to work , the microphone does not work in any app (eg. google assistant "hey google") work with earphones. When you record a fingerprint and then reboot the device you lose the fingerprint setting.
Thank you so much for the chance to try an updated version of andorid on this tablet!!
I hope to be helpful, a great job has been done.
I will try this rom for a short time but will return to the stock version, it won't be easy to go in stock, because there is no custom rom based on the original firmware.
I will find a way to return to the stock.
Bye bye.

Thanks for feedback ! Btw, I already noticed fingerprint issues .... but as you already said the ROM will be improved with each update !
At this time even Lineage OS didn't released the stable source yet .
@surdu petru Do you have the possibility to make a custom rom based on the latest stock rom to flash via twrp? It would be a great thing.
Thank you for your work!

Sorry, no way ... I tried a few time to revert to stock but my device can't boot on stock recovery from some unknown reasons .
But there is a few users wich already reverted this device to stock after installed Lineage OS 16.0 ( Android Pie ), so you could search on Lineage16.0 thread for their posts, or you can get in touch with them through PM.
Good luck !
Ok no problem.. I'll find a way to get back to the stock .. But first I'll try the other roms with Android 9. Thank you
