Hello friends,
After upgrading to Android 6 officer, I do not get notifications WhatsApp until you open the application, I have no AutoKiller installed as Cleanmaster, etc. Also check the wireless settings, and the same is not suspended by blocking the phone. NO have activated energy saving. Someone did the same? As I can fix?
Thank you so much!
Add whatsapp to he exceptions of Doze.

I'm running CM 6.1 Stable. I have two apps installed that I have configured to provide me with background notifications: reddit is fun and Foursquare. Reddit is supposed to check for new messages hourly and Foursquare us supposed to check for friend updates every 10 minutes. Neither app is functioning in this regard.
Has anyone else had an issue like this? Is there by chance some setting that prevents 3rd party background notifications from working that I may have enabled by accident? Gmail notifications are still working.
I checked my system log for errors or anything unusual while enabling or disabling the Foursquare notification feature and there was nothing that I could see.
Do apps need to have a service running to provide this sort if functionality, or can the Android system simply let apps schedule periodic tasks? I ask because I don't see any services running for these two apps, and if they are required, that would be a problem.
try moving it back to ur phone not ur sdcard......

Hi guys
Just open your "android wear" app and go to the "setting" and then under the "General" section and go to the "block app notifications" and simply add "Viber"or else to the block list, vuala now you can use your app normally without any problem, but the notifications from viber is blocked now.
this is the solution for now until we could find a better one.:good::good:

Or, you can download the old version of Viber here : http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/viber-media-s-a-r-l/viber/viber-5-5-2-28-android-apk-download/, install it and disable auto update until Viber releases a fix.

Well, few updates from Viber since then - no fix. I even opened a case with Viber - 1842865 . They say they can not reproduce it. For now, any android phone I tested with MOTO 360 - Viber will crash on making a call. Sometimes on first call, sometimes on second. The only solution for this is to disable Viber notifications in Android Wear.

Yup, hasn't been fixed for me as well, even after the updates. Crashes every time I call someone. Tried with with Kitkat, Lollipop and even Marshmallow. Also, tried with 2 LG G Watches and a Sony Smartwatch. So yea, still a problem. I had opened a case with Viber, and they said "Please note that our next version will address this issue and will allow you to use your smartwatch together with your Viber account on your mobile device." So the Nov. 18 update was supposed to fix this issue, but it has not been fixed.
Can we mention them here?
Edit: Also, I am using the older version and disabled updates.
got a new update to Viber today, I think it is fixed.
Confirm
fixed?
Yes, fixed.
Hey! I'm having an issue with facebook messenger since the nougat update(I'm now on OOS 4.0.2) . After turning the screen off messenger and all of its services are killed(I checked in running services), including chathead service and messaging service. Unfortunately with no messaging service I can't receive any messages until I manually start the app. I updated through OTA without factory resetting, after the problem occurred I tried factory resetting but it didn't help. Does anyone know if this is a messenger problem or a nougat problem and of any possible fix?

Go to settings -> battery - > Aggressive doze and app hibernation -> find fb messenger and put it into not optimized app group.
I don't have aggressive doze turned on, also auto close high power usage apps is turned off.
I think your problem should be solved if you gonna use Facebook with chrome meanwhile. It's updating your news, messages and notifications in your statusbar. It's more battery friendly. Or use the app "swipe for Facebook". The official fb-app isn't the best choise - the battery drain is huge. @thalvadzhiev
I'm not sure the problem is connected to the main Facebook app, since I'm getting Facebook notifications(like if someone posted in a group), but I'm not getting messenger notifications.
Try to clear app data and cache of Messenger app, you won't lose your chats, only settings. Then login again and report here again
@thalvadzhiev do what @slmadmax said. It makes sure your messenger won't be killed.

I don't even have aggressive doze turned on. Also I've found that usually messenger survives through the night but once I start using it during the day it starts dying again. Since doze is on through the night and doesn't kill it maybe it is not the one that kills it during the day too.

Then Idk.. U can try it but if it still happens it might be a messenger issue.
Hi, i have delayed notifications problem on honor v20. Can anybody help about this? Thanks
I'm on B137 (C432). I get delayed notification for Outlook and WhatsApp. No issue with previus version (B125)
Try going under:
phone manager > battery > app launch and turn off those or all apps that you require notifications from being manage automatically.

Already done. With exclusion from battery optimization feature too.
Now I have problem only with OutLook app... but i think it's not a EMUI issue.
The only text messaging app that works on my OP9P is Google Messages, which is installed by default. I've tried Textra and a few other apps, but as soon as I switch the default messaging option to something other than Google Messages, texts stop coming. I've granted all permissions that the apps wanted. What's going on?

I use signal as my default messaging app and have no issue, and even use threema for certain people, so I'm not sure why you would be having that issue outside of having battery optimization on your default app

Nope. In any case, SMS doesn't use the internet – just plain old cell service.
