What's the Best Case for the HTC 10? - HTC 10 Questions & Answers

I really need some advice, I usually swear by OtterBox but they have of course not released any cases for the 10 and if you listen to them they say that they don't have it in their plans. So my question is what is the best case I get as an alternative to an OtterBox? I'm looking for something with a similar level of protection. I tried the unicorn beetle pro but I don't like it because there's plastic on the back of the case that makes it very slippery when placed on a surface, I miss the grip that the OtterBox had on the back of the case. Also I need a belt clip.
I just ordered one of these

What worries me however is that cheap price
What recommendations do you guys have? Thank you so much in advance

There's a bunch of case review threads here:

Thanks I posted over there

I have to agree with @jhonwright56, as that is the case I use for my M10. In fact I use supcases for all my phones.

Who makes the thinnest case like gear4 for iphone?

Does anyone know of a case like the gear4 for iphone?
http://www.amazon.com/Gear4-Iphone-...PM/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1306965457&sr=8-17
My friend has one for his iphone and its so thin its hard to tell there even a case on it. It slips in and out of pockets with ease. No bulk at all.
whats the point of having such a thin case? it wont protect it much at all
Im not looking for it to protect it from dropping it, but more from scratches from putting it down on tables and bars and things like that. Right not i have a thin silicone case that will fall off if the wind blows to hard lol.
The case-mate barely there case is your best bet. I have one and I love it. It won't provide much protection from a drop but it's great for tossing the phone onto a table or desk.

Seconded. Not much drop protection, but thin and no scratches. I love mine, but I don't love how it doesn't cover the top and bottom of the phone.
Casemate...there is also a no name brand knockoff of the casemate on amazon. Just search for thunderbolt cases and look for a 1 piece snap on. There are not many to pick from.
I like to have a pouch case for my thunderbolt so I can still easily use my car dock. This one from Sena cases is awesome

The only one that comes close is made by LUXMO and is available on eBay.
I've bought a couple of these. Fits really well, though I don't know how thin it is compared to "gear4". But the mix of clear plastic and black TPU trim feels great.
I bought a smoke black argyl case off eBay for $5.99 and love it. Does not add much bulk at all and makes holdingnthe device slot better and also makes the buttons easier to push aswell.

Bought a case matte barely there, its perfect awesome case! no bluk slips in and out of my pockets with ease. very good choice.
Check out the cheap S-Line cases on eBay. I can't imagine a case getting much thinner than this. Plus, it's only ~$5-10, shipped. If you don't like it (yet to hear anybody not like it), then go get a more expensive one. But really, this is THE case to get if you want something different than the uber-protective cases.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1067656
i got the s case. its pretty sick. decent protection. only thing is sometimes stuff gets in the case and you can see it through the transparent part.
I have the S-Line and Seido Innocase II Surface Case. The S-line is nice for the money, but to me it feels cheap. There's also no real size difference in the 2. The Sedio case is harder to take off at first, but once you get used to it it's super easy. I love my Seido case, but I would be ok if I only had the S-Line.
Also, to me nothing feels better than the naked phone. I'm too afraid to scratch or drop it though.
Here's some picture comparisons
I had one like that for my fascinate. I think vzw is calling it a "fusion" case.
I have the case-mate barley there case. I love the thing. Does exactly what i want it to do, protect the phone from getting scratched and dinged up while in my pocket.

Dude... This case is perfect. Thanks for the heads up!
It added better grip and it feels like a better phone all around.

Found these cases on ebay, which do you think is best?

I found these cases on ebay and can't beside between the 3. Which do you think is better and why? Thanks.

ewwww. all 3 of them. tpu or ringke rearth case ftw.
Why do you say that? Do you have the Rearth? How is it? I liked these cases because they look like a colorful otterbox.
thinking about getting a ringke rearth. they look nice. i just think they're ugly because they're so fat and bulky. but you may need the protection so function over form in that case. i don't need that much protection so function and form are equal for me. i had an otterbox once for a nokia e71 and i needed it then, but it was awful big and a pain in the ass sometimes. such a pain that i started carrying in my pocket instead of holster and i lost it somehow. yes, from my pocket. i was pissed.
The 2nd and 3rd resemble the ballistic shell gel cases, but uglier. I have a rearth ringke slim and i like it. I also have a couple diztronic tpu cases and like them as well.
I ended up ordering a Seidio active case for mine $29 after taxes, I looked at other cases that would fit with the extended back but I've always gone with Seidio on my other devices and just couldn't stray away.

I have the first link case identical. I got it yesterday. The black is a rubber piece that goes around the red plastic does a very poor job. It would not survive a fall high than 3 feet. I will be returning mine. I am now looking for a white case and a good holster. Any suggestions are great.
Hmmm, i don't know which to pick. The reason I wanted to buy one off of ebay is because I have $25 ebay bucks. I originally liked the metallic but I heard it was slippery so I'm starting to think I should go with the matte black. Can anyone find one on ebay?
That first one looks sketchy, idk looks cheap. id kinda not get any of those. Just get an Otterbox, thats basically what these are posing. I realize these are cheaper but also these look it. If not then maybe their are other brands that could get you some reliability. I personally dont know because i rocked my D1 naked for two years and im rocking a cruzer on my Nexus. I also have an otterbox as a backup (thats the tough case).
I currently have the otter box but I would like to add some color which is why I am looking at these cases.

Heavy Duty construction site case

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a heavy duty case for me? I'm an electrician, and the case has to be durable because i work on construction sites. Otterbox doesn't make the Defender series for this phone unfortunately so i'm looking for an alternative thats just as rugged.
i can recommend to you Incipio ngp case
is made of hard rubber and cover the entire edge of the phone
certainly protects the phone very well, but i will change it because it's too big .... i think that is right for you!

I disagree, do not use this, I does not sound like it would suit your needs.
There is the Ballistic Case, http://www.goballisticcase.com/products/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-sgh-i9100-ballistic-shell-gel-sg-series-case. My friend had one for a phone of his, and they are certainly big and beefy.
There is the Case-Mate Tough, http://www.case-mate.com/Samsung-Galaxy-S-II-Cases-International/Case-Mate-Samsung-Galaxy-S-II-International-Version-Tough-Cases.asp. I have one and I like it, it may be enough for what you are looking for.
There is also the Trident Kraken, http://www.tridentcase.com/case/samsung/samsung-galaxy/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-kraken-ams-case.html. It looks to be one tough mother.
Those are some of the more widely known, very protective cases. There may be more, but those are probably the most recommended.

I would be inclined to go with the Kraken. I recently purchased it's weaker sibling, the Aegis case, from Shop4USB via Amazon Uk (£24.33) .... Utterly stunning and oh so protective.
Looks like the Kraken retails for about £35 online
This youtube vid compares the Kraken and the Otterbox Defender quite nicely
Awesome! I will look into the suggestions, i appreciate the help!

Speck Candyshell vs. Otterbox Commuter

your thoughts? have narrowed it down to these 2 cases for the X - looking for "good enough" protection without adding a lot of bulk. I have heard the button covers on the Speck cases go "bad" after a while and that the Candyshell is super "slick" to hold - offering no grip...But I realize the OB Commuter adds a bit of bulk and Otterbox, as a company, can't be beat...
ideas? suggestions?
I've heard mixed results on the Speck. I wrote to them, asking if they planned to create a matte version of the case, and I was told that they had no plans.
The only case I've purchased (and hated) was the Trident Cyclops. I think I'm probably just going to get the Otterbox Commuter and be done with it. The trouble is, they're sort of hard to come by. Not sure why, exactly.
I don't own these cases for the Moto X but I have used them at least once in the past. I'd say go for the commuter. Otterbox provides excellent customer service and make some quality cases. The candyshell is cool at first but the glossy finish does attract a lot of scratches and won't look that good after a while. It also has a durability issue you mentioned.

Little local company called Amazon has them in stock.
Yes, finally. It's been a third-party markup item for the past few weeks. Sadly, it's still $1.52 short of free shipping. So silly. :/
Thanks for the heads up, though. I might just order from Otterbox directly to save a few bucks on shipping.

I forget that Amazon charges for shipping... Prime is the best thing ever.
I could never get the Speck Candyshell I bought to fit right - the power button wouldn't line up and was constantly being held down and rebooting the phone. I also noticed that it attracted everything to it, like static cling or something, and almost immediately looked dirty. The slickness didn't bother me much, though I didn't use it for very long. I ended up getting the Commuter (off eBay, bundled with some knock-off cables I threw straight in the trash), like I should have in the first place, and the fit is wonderful. It's a bit bulkier than the Candyshell, but not obnoxiously so, and you can't beat their warranty and customer service.
Hated the commuter. Slippery, hard to put on and off, buttons are lousy. Ended up with an incipio dual pro (which I love).
I have been using Speck Smartflex Card case for my iPhone 5.
It's good, protection is there considering the fact it's not very bulky, and I love the cards compartment!
I just recently bought a Otterbox Commuter case from mobijoystore.com, have yet to try out, but looks slightly bulkier than speck.
Yeah, the commuter is overly slippery for a case. The rubber is the inside layer, and the plastic outside. The plastic is slippery. I have one...Didn't mind it too bad. Really need a holster at work tho....so got a defender. It's the opposite...plastic on inside, rubber on outside...much better. Unless you want a holster and maximum protection tho, it's pretty bulky.
Sent from my Moto X cellular telephone...
Slippery? The commuter is fine. You guys make it sound like it's coated in oil. This case is very well put together and not slippery. Thin too. I use the pro shell case now but that is only cause I wanted a clear back case. Once spring comes that commuter is back on.. Outside activities demand that

I've used commuter cases on two other phones and was always impressed with the durability they provided. I actually prefer the rubber on the inside. Past rubber cases became too linty and were difficult to place in my pocket. The primary downside with the commuter is how much it will cover such a nice looking phone.
I'll be the asshole who says neither. Get a Cimo case.

been using ballistic case for 3 years, still perfect
case
S-line case are cheap and good; Add a screen protector for shatter proofing purposes and the phone is well protected. Hope that helps. Sincerely, Jahman
Ballistic is a pretty good choice but I've had better handling with the Bodyglove Toughsuit:
http://www.bodyglovemobile.com/cell...laxy-s2/toughsuit-with-holster/?scheme_id=215
Also, it lacks the huge corners that the Ballistic has, making it easier to wrap your hand around it and hell, it comes with a belt holster so it's technically an Otterbox Defender case without the bland look and high price.
