Hello I really like Note 2's keyboard .. it's the only thing stopping me from installing a new rom .. the problem with other keyboards is that i use the keyboard in English and Arabic and other keyboards have Arabic letters on different order other than the one on pc which samsung's have .. i have tried most of the keyboards and they all have that mistake except for google's keyboard .. the problem with it is the change language key .. i'm more used to swipe to change language
TL;DR : I want to ask if there is a way to install samsung note 2's keyboard in roms that aren't TW based and if there are similar keyboards on the playstore you could suggest

Hi, I'm looking for an option to install chinese input + handwriting to my Galaxy Nexus, I know I can download third market apps, but if possible I want the stock keyboard, so it won't be a hassle to switch between keyboards
Maybe something like a language pack?
i just would like to know where the location of the input languages are in the default samsung keyboard. i would like to delete the languages that i don't use so that it frees up space and would like to add the us english in the rom so that i dont have to download it again. tnx!
Hello guys,
I can't get the writing area for handwriting recognition to show up on my Note II.
When I hit the "T" for text in S-Note I just get the Samsung Keypad although the S-Pen is removed from the phone.
It doesn't matter if I remove the S-Pen from the phone when the keypad is already visible or before I hit the "T".
Pen detection is enabled.
Does anyone have an idea how to fix it.
I am on stock Samsung Firmware (rooted).
Cheers,
Bjoern
Interesting... when I switch to "German" or "English(UK) input, I can switch between Handwriting pad and keypad. Switching to English(US) the option (T with a pen - left to the space bar) to switch to handwriting disappears...
Any clue why?
Cheers,
Bjoern
Try clearing cache and data in the Samsung keyboard. After it restarts, so in to "handwriting" in the Samsung keyboard settings and accept an update if it's offered. Make sure the handwriting language is set to the same language as the typing keyboard.
It does not work with English US.
Jep, seems simply not to work with English(US) :silly:
I'm on the French 4.1.2 ROM and it's set to English U.S. You may have to download it.
I had this same issue with my previous german rom not having the handwriting recognition for en_US. It appears that with some roms you can only use handwriting recognition for the original languages on the phone and downloading new languages only downloads the qwerty keyboard and not the handwriting recognition.
Edit: with my current rom handwriting recognition appears to work with all languages. The difference appears to be the /system/VODB folder which on my old original Rom only listed 4 languages but on my current rom there seems to be a folder for every language. ..

Hi All:
I use the HTC Sense keyboard in my M8, I use the English & Arabic languages.
I tried so many keyboards, like SwiftKey, Google Keyboard, Samsung Galaxy Keyboard (Galaxy S4), Sony and many others from Play Store and I found out that the HTC Sense Keyboard is the best specially in Arabic language.
but I believe that it is missing some features like.
1- No themes !! (even Google Keyboard have themes !!)
2- There should be a separate selection for each word prediction & Auto replace words (they are combined now in one option).
3- Separate row for numbers.
Any one have something to add ??
I hope HTC will look to this thread, I want to see the keyboard with material design with all that options.

There is tons of themes on Viper rom for HTC keyboard, about rest of the features forget about it, HTC wont loook at this thread you can only ask HTC via official support about it and pray they add it some day in sense 7...8...
One question though... where did you find the keyboard from S4? I would gladly ditch the sense keyboard, for the samsung's one.
