im running WM6 on a ks20.
recently, ive had a problem with pictures and videos stored on the sdcard. if they are of a higher quality, i cant seem to view them more than once.
For instance, i take a 1600x1200 picture. i view it with the default image viewer. it displays fine. however after a while if i try to open it again, it says "cannot load file" and when i copy the photo to my pc, it get's corrupted and becomes all fuzzy. any ideas?
Also, could it be that i installed the SDHC patch? if so, does anyone know where i can download the original sdbus and sdmemory dll files? i forgot to back mine up :\
i found the problem! it happens when i take a high res picture (eg 1600x1200) and save it to the mem card. then if i wait for the phone to go to sleep (ie. display blacks out) and then turn on the screen once again and immediately try to access the photo on the mem card, it'll corrupt the photo.
lol. it's as though the sdcard went to sleep along with the screen
ideas?
Help! Yesterday, my wife's phone no longer saves photos. When she take the photo it will show the preview, but then when you go into the gallery, there's just no file there. I've search every folder on her SD card thinking maybe it's just saving it somewhere bizarre, but no luck.
I rooted her EVO and we're running EVIO 2 (after bringing her on reluctantly, away from her beloved iPhone), and if the camera is irreparably borked then I'm in big trouble as she loves that camera. Has anyone encountered anything like this? Advice?
so yesterday i took some pictures that i was going to use for a listing. connected the phone to comp and opened the camera folder. the pictures that i took with ics shows previews and i can see what they are. however, the pics that i took with jb don't. the file is there and i can see it, but pictures don't have preview images. when i got home, i took my wife's nexus, also running jb now, and took some new pics. connected her phone to the comp and same issue. the file is visible, but no preview. could anyone else check if they have same issue. mine is takju, her's is yakju. it's driving me nuts since i have a lot of pics in the camera and don't want to be clicking on each one to see if that's the right pic. also, my work and home comps do it.
Am I the only one that has this problem
my problem is that I gotta connect it multiple times for the file to be actually visible on my computer... which is really annoying

Hello
i need your help. I don't have any idea any more what could cause for this problem. Everytime that someone send from his iphone via whatsapp, a video or a photo that was taken from the iphone, the device turn upside down the picture or the video! I don't know why it keep happans! I have tried omega and ARHD - 4.1.2 and 4.1.1 and the both have the problem! but the problem happans only when i get a video or a picture from the iphone. If sgs3 or nexus send me a video or a picture, i get it correctly. If you have an iphone, try to take a video in a vertical position and send it to your phone via whats up. Take a look at the picture. This video used to be vertical on the iphone, but when i recieved that, the device turned it.

I can't tell whether the screen shot you have provided is the right way up or not.
But is it completely upside down as in 180degrees or just 90degrees rotated?
Maybe because video players treat the longest side as the top. And with portrait mode videos, the video would have its longest side on the vertical, so our phones think that's the up side up.

When it is taken in vertical mode i get it 90degrees rotated, but when the video is taken in horizontal mode, i get it correctly with no problem.
I have tried to take a video i vertical & horizontal in the HTC desire and send to me, and there was no problem.
I have tried to install stock 4.1.1 without root or something and there is still the problem.
It seems the problem is between iOS and Android...
Update:
It was fixed in the new whats app version of iphone(as usual iphone problems)
Hi all.
So I took some photos and videos last year on my holidays. Just tried to look back at them but they have all turned black and are showing January 6th. Same thing in Google photos where they were backed up to.
Can anyone explain what's going on here and more importantly whether they are recoverable.
