When recording slo-mo, I hear a weird buzzing during the slo-mo playback.
When calling someone, I can barely hear the ring. Anyone have these issues?
About formatting SD card as internal, will I lose my data after I format? I took my SD card off my m8 with data.
I can answer the formatting question. Yes, I would plan on your data being deleted. I'd copy it to your desktop until you have it formatted as internal, then copy back on.
I too have the ringing quietly when a call comes in, when the alarm goes off, etc. I have a set of ringtones/notifications that I modified to be louder when I was on the LG G3, I'll give those a try.
Slo-Mo, I haven't played with so I don't know.
Can you share folder system\customize for me ?
Thanks! I'll back up my data. About the ringing, it's when I call someone. I can barely hear the ringing before they pick up. My volume is up, and I'm not using the speaker phone.

I've installed a cab file to record the audio using the NOTES function. I'm able to record both sides of the phone call. BUT! I can only record it for about 20 seconds, then it automatically stops.
Anyone know a work around for this issue?
Also, how to record that phone call audio to the sd card, and not to the internal memory?
Thanks!

... had same issue without a sd card installed with notes recorder so that would be your issue... not sure about your program but notes are - menu options - save to Storage card, not sure about your program but should be similar

Thanks, found that, and changed it. Makes sense they wouldn't want you to record a 50 meg phone conversation to the internal memory, so they cut it off at about 4 megs per call. Done! Thanks!
I have changed the same setting, and also created Notes under My Documents on the Storage Card but it seems to still save to the internal memory. Any ideas please?
Thanks.
Use this program instead, it not only lets you pick any folder you want to store the recorded calls in (including the storage card), but it's really light weight and it records all calls automatically. Then, after the call, it asks you if you want to keep the recording or not.
Best of all its free. I've been using it ever since I got my TP2. WAY better than Vito Audio Notes, Rescoe, or the built-in recorder that stores them in "notes" in your My Documents folder.
Here's the thread to download it, as well as how to use it if you have problems. You probably wont have problems though, I just installed it, started the program, clicked the "enable recording" button, set where I wanted them saved, and I was good to go.
Works like a charm!
Its called ACR - or Auto Call Recording. Download it from post #3 in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=536472
Enjoy!
Volume low on playback
I've used ACR and Resco to record phone calls, but the volume of the other party is very low, almost inaudible, on playback. Is there any way to fix this please?
Have you installed the "Enable In Call Recording" cab? Search the forums for it. You'll need that installed for ACR to work properly. Sounds like what you're getting right now is just the microphone picking up the sound from the ear piece, which is why you can barely hear it...
Good luck,
Got it
Ok thank you very much. I got the CAB and it works nicely now....
Hi All,
I personally dis-like the start up tone motorola picked for it's Defy (and the shut down tone).
Is there way can be modified to other of my downloaded tone or make it silent when starting up the phone every day ?
Thanks a lot.

disable sdcard notifications
You can download Silent Boot from the market.
Or copy the sounds you want to /system/media/audio/xxxx (whatever folder), remember to set permissions similar to the other files and then reboot. The problem is the sdcard is not mounted yet when it tries to play the sounds.
Thanks to ALLLLLLLLLLLL,
I did not know this is sound relate to the SD card when mounted.
I did that just to un-check the sound in the SD card notification.
Thanks again!

I have SD card notifications turned off. My phone boots silently, but it still plays a loud and annoying beep when I switch it off. Is there any way to fix this?
Try installing Silent Boot from the market; It works for shut down too, despite its name.
Can it also kill that horrible beep that sounds every time I unplug the USB cable? That doesn't involve booting or shutting down my phone.
No, but you could use any program that allows you to set the System volume.
So that's were that horrible beep is hidden. Thanx. I silenced it with Quick Settings.
Do you know how can kill the beep that plays when I push the volume rocker? The visual volume indication is enough for me.

Did you manage to find where is located that beep on unplugging USB cable? It's horrible...
When ever i get a notification, my notification sound plays but my music app (MOG) randomly starts playing. I was having the same problem with doubletwist. Anybody know what might be wrong?
i don't know if this is the same issue, but i know I've run into that after unmounting the SD card. What I think happens is that if the system loses track of the original notification sound file, it defaults and searches for other sound files (how it does this I don't know). I've always been able to fix it by remounting the SD card or just going in and setting the notification sound again.
HTH
Thanks a ton; I was surprised to see that that worked.
I put one mp3 on my phone. This is the second or third time this has happened now. It just disappears. Where does it keep going? I had no idea I had an incoming call because the phone was going do dee doot some stupid internal ringtone when I have a kick ass song of my friends bands that's supposed to play.
I don't have the song with me because I am at work, so I have to remote into my home computer, send the file to myself.
Seems to disappear out of nowhere too. The problem is I might not notice when it happens right away since I don't receive phone calls very often. I might only receive 2 or 3 calls a month, if that.
But I can say I've not changed anything.. only really install a few games.
Does the ringtone appear in the list of available ringtones after changing? Make sure you put the ringtone in your 'ringtone' folder in the internal storage.
Sometimes when receive incoming call, phone won't ring, just vibrate. That's happening randomly, sometimes it's ok for 2 days and then start, sometimes on every couple of calls, for 2-3 calls it's not ringing and then start to ring normally again... Of course, I'm not in silent mode, volume is set to max, when enter settings and select ringtone, it plays fine...
This start when I upgrade to Lollipop, on stock rom and custom roms, tried 4-5 roms, all Sense. I run RUU for couple of times, for clean start of new rom, my firmware is up to date, but it happens every time, so I think it is Lollipop problem, not rom.
Is anyone experienced this problem too, or know some solution?
Thanks.
So no one have this problem? For everyone phone rings fine every time?
Try to restart the phone. It will solve the problem for you. My wife's phone had same problem and that's what I did.
Yes, I restart the phone and the problem re-apear shortly, so that is not the solution.
m8 problem
I have the same fcking problem for over 2-3 months now and I think it's lollipop problem, it's very annoying every day I got dozens of missed calls ...i don't know what to do, did you find anything ?? Thanks
Did you set some ringtone which came with Lollipop, or some of yours personal ringtones?
I always use my ringtone, simple mp3 file, but I select one of pre-installed ringtone about 3 weeks ago and have no problem since. Don't know why, but it seems that Lollipop have some problems with some mp3 files. Those files plays perfectly well in any music app on phone, but if you set it like ringtone, sometimes ringing and sometimes not.
I found some program that helps to "convert files to Android-playable" so I convert my mp3 ringtone with that program (still mp3, but larger size) and will see if that helps.
I have done it today so must pass week or two to be sure if it helps or not, will post here.
So, my converted ringtone didn't work. Then I tried to put the mp3 file in to /system/media/audio/ringtones where the other ringtones are, but that didn't work either. I noticed that most of stock ringtones are in .flac format, so I converted my ringtone to .flac and it worked! My phone rings normally for 2 weeks now.
So, if anyone have problem with their custom ringtones, just convert them to .flac format with any sound converter on PC and that will be fine.
Ok I will do it your way, just to inform you, I did a factory reset for nothing same as before everything is working like, notification sound, message sound, music player but still no incoming sound, this is a really fcked up thing, it's nothing to repair the software is fcked up I guess,I am so dissapointed
Just convert your ringtone to .flac format with any free converter (ask Google), and it will be fine. For me, it's working over the month now.
The ringtone sound is fine now(tried it your way), but now I have another problem with mic, when someone tries to call me they can't hear me only on speaker mode, really mad now X(.
It might look silly, but try to make G calibration (Settings>Display & gestures>G-sensor calibration)
