I installed ROM Miui 8 MM 6.0 on my phone, and i can't find FM Radio, can you help me, how to install FM Radio in this ROM, thanks before
First of all a big Thanks! to @pocaropa.
This is a module to enable FM Radio for Oreo 8.1 Stable released Yesterday.
Be aware that this module disables signature verification and sets selinux to permissive, which could be a security issue for someone.
If you want to use FM radio on Oreo 8.1 stable with all functions (Bluetooth streaming, recording, favourite stations) you can flash this module.
If you don't want to leave it always enabled you can enable it only when you need it, then reboot phone.
I'm using it and i haven't found bugs so far.
Use ONLY in stock rom versions:
OPM1.171019.019.V9.6.3.0.ODHMIFE
OPM1.171019.019.V9.6.4.0.ODHMIFE

Excellent work, thanks.
Straight into Classic FM station in the UK.
Thank you so much @sipollo, I'll use this on my second MiA1 device.
I've one MiA1 rooted with AEX and another one untouched with stock 8.1 which unfortunately still lacks of FM Radio app... Surely thanks to Google ? ... Same happened before with Moto Google devices.
Thank you...it's working

Hi,
after installing the mod on stock rom version OPM1.171019.019.V9.6.3.0.ODHMIFE, the radio crashes at every attempt to open it.
Any thoughts on why it's not working?
Thanks in advance

Ihad to flash stock version with oreo 8.1, as after installing gcam on official oreo 8.1 update, I relock the bootloader and phone wouldn't boot.
Could you point out where to download the official version with proper kernel?
Thanks in advance

You are doing something wrong. You can't relock bootloader if you have root access. You can relock bootloader only if you have an unmodified system.
Hi,
Thanks for your prompt reply
Yes, I now know that but didn't when I first rooted the phone using mi A1 tools.
Phone is currently on Oreo 8.1 OTA official update. Rooted with magisk and bootloader unlocked.
I would appreciate any help on a free-data solution to radio FM, as I am currently using test developer (not the best) option
Thanks in advance

This module should work for you.
Check if there is an app that changes selinux state during boot. This module sets selinux to permissive at boot, maybe there's another app that switch selinux to enforcing after that. With selinux enforcing you get errors in FM radio app.
Could you recommend any tool to check and mod (if needed) selinux status?
I can see several on play store, but don't want to toggle with unneeded features, just the one to make your mod working...
Thanks in advance

Search for Selinux switch here in XDA.
Reinstalled the mod and now it works!
The 8.1 updates was halted by Xiaomi so I did not get it, is there a module for 8.0?
Thank you!

I really don't know why... Workaround is install Magisk 16, install module (should install it) then upgrade to 16.4 (or 16.6). I have latest Magisk beta and module works.
EDIT:
Fixed version in OP
[README]
* This is the invention from mr. AKAVKL / AKA_VKL. I just modified some script in it to remove SELinux conversion.
* I've tested on LineageOS 15.1 (Oreo) and LineageOS 16 (Pie) based ROMs and rooted using Magisk, it runs fine.
* Flash it with your own risk, don't blame me if it's not working for you, always backup your data before trying something new, obviously.

Filename : Dolby Digital Plus (UNiTY).zip

[INSTRUCTIONS]
* For safety issues, remove other sound equalizer app before flash (such as AudioFx, and the others).
* Use Magisk Manager to flash. Open Magisk Manager, go to Modules, add the zip file, reboot.
* Install Magisk Module : Audio Compatibility Patch, reboot.

Working well on Mi Mix 2 with Miui 10
@heindrix, does this Dolby audio mod still work on the latest crDroid Oreo ROM by Gavin? I'm seeking to try and find Dolby to flash in my Mi Mix.

I'm running the latest 08/30 build of Dolby Atmos by zackptg5 & guitardedhero on crDroid 08/17 with Magisk 16.7. Not sure if Atmos or Plus is supposed to be better, they both sound great to me.

this mod is ported from the one you mentioned.
if you see what's inside the zip file, you'll see it's from the same source, but modded by AKAVKL.
Is there any original thread from the dev AKAVKL?

Just asking, sir. I'm on different device and I've found this thread from a tele group. But i see it on mix forum, so wondering if there is a thread in magisk forum. That's all. Btw, thanks.
Edit, sorry wrong post
It works for my resurrection remix 6.1(official) on Redmi Note 5pro. Thanks devs!! ??
For others -don't forget to wipe dalvik
Cool, thanks. Works on my redmi note 5pro youth RR oreo, now hopefully audio modification library module will be updated to support this and viper fx together. At the moment only one can be active at a time

you should remove it because it's useless.
you can use custom equalizer in Dolby Digital Plus app too.

No need to remove it. Just switch off the Audio fx.Dolby to be active requires all other equaliser to to switched off.

I haven't tried in Pie yet, since i'm not using Mix for a week now, lol.
I'm using my other phone (Nova 2s) now, but i'll back to Mix next week, will test Dolby and i will see if i can upgrade GPU Driver to higher version.
It is working fine (so far) on Oneplus 3T. Official LOS 15.1 and magisk 17.1 stable build.
I had bootloop on first reboot, then I forced reboot and it worked. :good:
Edit: it stopped processing after a short while. I tried to reboot device but went again in bootloop rebooting in recovery mode. Restoring my backup fixed everything. Any suggestion?
(I know this mod is not for my device).
Hi guy i have redmi note 5 global version . I'm facing issue that fm radio not work in all custom roms
When I open it, It ask for the headset to work even though I have inserted the headset in advance
I wonder what custom roms have working FM radio ?
HUGE thanks to @giri45 for actually providing the fix!
What's this?
A Unity installer ensures that you can use this module with any kind of root solution (as long as it supports init.d)! If you have Magisk, flash the module through the Magisk Manager, but if you don't have Magisk, just flash the module through TWRP. When you want to uninstall the module, flash it again in Magisk Manager or TWRP.
As for the module itself, it provides a fix for LiveDisplay/Night Light on the Moto G5/G5S for anyone running an AOSP-based ROM running Android 9 or higher.
Do NOT attempt to install this on other devices, or ROMs based on Android <9! Device and Android version checks have been applied to make sure this module will not install on incompatible devices. This module assumes that you are using the latest stock Oreo firmware (including bootloader, GPT and etc.)! Do not report issues if you are not on the latest firmware.
Tested ROMs:
Pixel Experience 9.0 - fixed in latest build
Downloads:
Download in Magisk Repo.
Flash via Magisk Manager or TWRP. Make sure you have a root solution which supports init.d!
There are problems with flashing in TWRP. I recommend everyone to flash with Magisk Manager instead.
im guessing this is for when the screen does not tint when night mode is enabled?

Yeah, I downloaded it from the Magisk Manager. Since I am on Pie the "About Phone" Page displays info I don't want to share/have to edit. What do you need exactly? The model XT1676 is correct. Hardwareversion is p5.
I added a screenshot of the Android/ROM version.
No need this anymore, i already fixed this on device tree
This module is no longer needed as the fix has been Incorporated into the device vendor, but I will keep it in the repo.
