Came across my first issue with my HTC 10. I put in a brand new memory card, formatted it and rebooted phone. Evrrything was fine until I went to set up my alarm clock. I went to change the sound through the settings and nothing happens. I then proceded to try to change the phones ringer and notification setting, same thing. Won't give me the ootion to change it. When I tap on it, it won't do anything. Rebooted phone twice, still nothing. If I have to clear the phone, this is going to suck!!!
*****EDIT****
Problem fixed. The program called sound picker was disabled. I enabled it and problem disappeared.

Audible touch tones just stopped working.
This morning when i used dial pad i've noticed that there is only vibrating without any sound...
I checked in sound settings and there is everything as it should be.
Is there any known solution for this, except master reset...
Thanks...

Ok, so i've managed to solve this...
this has happened when i pulled out my battery without turning off the phone 1st.
So i tried everything what came to my mind, like changing sound levels etc. manually.
Then another thing came across my mind..
pressed and hold power button, turned the phone to silent, then did this same and turned the silent mode off, and it worked...
Just to mention I've never before put phone to silent, and while audible touch tones weren't working, when i press some number in my dial pad, i could hear "something" on speakerphone, something like that action was made but melody was missing.
I was trying to find solution at google but without success, but i saw that there is a lot of people having the same issue, so i recommend to try this, what i've did...
cheers...
it not working for me, but i found solution,
download "audio manager" from market, you can see that, system volume is set to min/off
i set system volume to max and uninstall app, after phone restart tones still all right!

Ok, so I purchased this NOTE II on Black Friday. I have not rooted it. I am having a little issue with this phone doing something weird.
I use Go SMS, Facebook, Twitter, Page Manager, Gtalk and Gmail app. I usually set up costumed notifications and for all apps I use. I just like to tell things apart by the sound. Anyway, after a while all my notification sounds reset to default (silent) and vibrate. It's weird. I have un installed updates, turned off nfc, removed GoSMS, I have re updated , resetted my phone to factory defaults twice and it keeps happening...I have a feeling that the Block setting can go hay wire and causes it.
Anyone has any ideas how I can stop this, fix this or prevent it? What is the cure?
I think it has to do with your sd card, when i got my s3, i transferred my music and custom notification in my sd, made a folder same spelling as the notification, ring tone folders in the internal sd so the phone will show you all the notification tone and music when your selecting custom tones. When i plug my s3 to my computer to transfer more, your pc had the priority with your sd, so your phone goes back to default. So i just set it up again.
POWERED by FROSTY!
Your notification sounds should be on the phone (notification folder), and not your SD card. Have never had an issue doing it that way.
Hey,
I upgraded my device from a Nexus 5. In my Nexus 5 I had an option in the Settings to create a schedule for silent times (or priority only). Before I did the switch, I had a setting on to put the device on silent mode at 21:30. Now, in my OnePlus3, I notice that it also goes silent at 21:30 every day (it probably automatically migrated this setting along with the other settings when I first set up the device). But in the OnePlus 3 I no longer have a setting to disable this schedule... This is extremely annoying, because when the device goes into Silent mode I can't even turn up the volume with the volume rocker, I have to physically push the alert slider to "silent" mode and then back to "all notifications" mode.
The device is not rooted and I'd much rather keep it this way if I can.
I hate the fact that there something going on that I can't switch off...
Ideas? Tips? any thoughts will be highly appreciated.
Several people have reported this problem and I have it as well. You are correct that it comes from transferring the settings from your previous phone to the OP3 which has no way to control do not disturb settings through software. None of the suggested fixes have worked for me. My hope was that the new OTA, which apparently had notification fixes would stop it, but it did not. The only thing that has been reported as working all the time is wiping the phone entirely and setting it up as new without transferring your old settings. If you still have your old phone, you could change the settings on it to remove all dnd settings, use it for a bit so that it backs up and then try setting up your OP3 again. I plan on doing that or starting new and fresh later this week.
Edit:
Here's the other thread on this. Looks like the problem exists for people who did clean installs as well. http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/help/disturb-settings-t3400979
Had this problem, too. I did transfer the settings from my old phone, but I had no DND settings active on this device (in fact I never ever used DND). The only way to get out of this silence loop was to restart the phone and set the slider to priority and back to all.

That didn't fix it, the behavior returned after a while.
Apparently this is a big issue:

Every time I turn on and restart my Note 10 + once it's booted or plays my notification sound. How do I stop this? I don't think our ever happened when I bought it a couple weeks ago. I've factory reset and there's been a firmware update too. I think this started after the last update but not sure.
In sounds setting screen it doesn't matter if the sound on unlock is on or off.
Thanks.
Mine only vibrates when turning off/on.
Under system and vibration everything is off except charging sound
I can't change notification sounds. I'll say silent. Go out of the settings screen. Go back in and it's back to the previous notification sound. No matter what I choose.
And on startup a quick on the lock screen notification from system showed that the system was restarted then it disappears immediately.
Yyyeessss!!!!!
You know, this thing had and does make some odd and off the cuff sounds. I'd imagine it's the system sounds(I haven't tried it yet). But I agree, it's completely annoying.. Especially when you set the phone to restart in the middle of the night...
I wish someone could give some input on this.. Great question!

I figured this out.
Go to settings. Notifications. Show system. Find the p looking icon for system ui. You can tap to open these options to mess with. The last option is Phone restarted. Tap it. Go to notification style. I chose silent and minimized. Now no more start up notification sound.

Thanks. I reset my phone many times trying to figure this out. I hate a startup sound.
Hey Guys!
I need help! with something on the settings of the phone that is making me bald.
Recently my Note10+ updated to the official OTA Android 11+ One UI 3.0. So far so good!
After that, I did a factory reset on it for a fresh app install... all that done with no hassle.
Now when changing the notification sound in the phone settings from the default Spaceline sound to the one I wanted all went well except for Whatsapp.
No matter what I do, whenever a message comes in, it always sounds the phone's default spaceline tone.
I've done everything I know from changing the notification sound by going to in-app settings, to the phone settings.... EVEN putting the in-app notification sounds to silent to no avail. It still keeps sounding the phone's default spaceline tone. What I am doing wrong? Please please, can anyone help me? I am so frustrated!

Go Settings > Apps
Search for the app you're wanting to change the sound on.
Open the app and click on Notification.
Select which notification you want to choose to change. You can toggle each one on or off and you can change from Silent to Alert and then change the Alert type and sound.
Hope this helps
