Does the HTC 10 have a pedometer like the one in HTC M8 as the FitBit app is not letting me add the HTC 10 as a device within the app.
Yes, the 10 does have the 'sensor hub' to support pedometer functionality. FitBit will probably have to update their app to allow you to select the 10 as the device. I periodically use Google Fit which tracks steps just fine on my 10.
i emailed them and contacted them through their online chat...fitbit will need to update the device list for the mobile tracker...you should email them and contact them through the online chat as well...so more complaints can come in and they expedite the process!
No it work because that feature was only available with the M8 as fitbit and HTC worked together but I don't think they made it compatible with the M9 or the 10

And, is it possible to use the 10's pedometer with another application ?

Yes. You can use HTCs funfit app from the play store. That's also what came pre-installed on the M9 and is fully compatible.

Thank you spikeydoo2006 !!
HTC Fun Fit says that it is not compatable when I try to install it on my HTC 10
Same problem here. I was able to install fun fit on my HTC 10 a while ago but it is now marked as not compatible with my device in the play store.

Only way to use it now, is to sideload. It's been officially discontinued, but you can still find the most recent version of the app on the "apk mirror" site.

For the Fitbit app I remember with my m8 that it actually stopped working when Fitbit updated the app though Google play But I went back and sideloaded the previous version and it worked again. I then stopped the app from being automatically being updated. I wonder if that particular version would work for the 10?

Today my phone, for no known reason is trying to download this "tmm.jpg,ttm.jpg" I cannot not stop the process as yet, this is what I have tried...
1. Long and short pressing the icon (nothing happens)
2. Toggling on and off wifi and network data
3. Restart
4. Turn on and off
5. Stopping all running apps
6. 3 & 4 again
Yet it is still trying to download, I have no idea what tmm.jpg,tmm.jgp is, but, I assume some kind of picture file, maybe something to do with android or the 3 branding on my phone?
I am on 3 network UK and yesterday I upgraded to 1.28.771.9 the latest 3 branded software.
Not only is this problem annoying, but it is killing my battery. Please can someone help I don't want to factory restore if I don't have to.
Here is a screen shot...

Weird, it has finally stopped downloading on its own, after about 2 hours?!! Not sure what it was, but should this happens to anyone else just wait, it takes a long time whatever it is.

I've had that prob a few times in the past and found that going into settings > apps > all > download manager > clear data + cache gets rid of the gremlins
Thanks I'm sure you're post will help others. Fortunatly for me this issue hasn't returned, touch wood.

Nothing to do with 3, look's like you went on a website with some sort of virus. If that download has completed, I'd be extremely weary. I recommend Kaspersky or maybe even AVG like mentioned above.
Hi all,
Just installed avast anti virus from the market, it says my phone is virus free so that's a relief.

Not there for me

It's on my g3, was curious what it was also. I was thinking it might be built into the watch and just shows up as being able to mute but it's not installed thru phone to do so.

I'm pretty sure this would be the Google Fit app that's on the Android L preview.

I have the Android L preview on my Nexus 5 but don't see any Google Fit app (at least, not in the app drawer). Is it a user launchable application, or just a system library?

I haven't played with the developer preview so I'm not sure.
This seems to be what I remember from the July announcement:
developers.google.com/fit/
But I'm not sure it's integrated into what Google released.
I can't find this on the Play store any more. Just got my new m8 so I went to re-download all my apps fresh and this one wasn't there anymore...
Anyone know?
Might not show up on htc devices check play store browser

No but that is cool. I'm just upset the app is gone without a trace

Sorry guys, it themes that it is no more compatible with the latest Android Wear version. It just does not show in the list of the watchfaces. But since the Fallout 4 release is close, I think I'll find time to migrate it to new API.
I happened to stumble across this add-on for Phone Manager in the Play Store recently. It looks legit and seems to add a genuinely useful feature or two to PM.
Thoughts? Anyone played with this?

Yes its official... Its a bit of xprivacy feeling directly coming from huawai.
I just want to let people know this:
After I installed it, all of a sudden the smart-headset button-function, as well as music controls on my Sony Smartwatch 3, didn't work for some of my music-apps. At first I thought it was a problem in the B320 firmware, but it had worked before... However, after allowing auto-launch of my music apps in the phone manager (TIDAL, for example), it worked again.
So in case anyone finds that they can't control their music via headset or smartwatch or have other issues after installing PM Plus, go to phone manager -> app auto-lauch (this is on Marshmallow, it's called "startup manager" on Lollipop, I think) and enable the apps that cause trouble
I can not find the app in Play Store. When I open the link on my laptop, under the name of the app there is a X sign with the text "This app is incompatible with your device." When I click on the text it appears "Vodafone HUAWEI PLK-L01", my device.
Does anyone know why I got this message, why the app is not compatible with my device??

It's working for me.
You have to press got it while the screen is black when the incompatible phone message appears.
Aswell as the Daydream APK don't forget you need Google VR Services.
I have, but it kicks me back to the download VR apps screen. I really wanted to use the remote with it also

That happened to me as well but I accidentally discovered a trick: when you get the "incompatible phone" message don't press "got it". Instead, press the menu/multitasking button, go back to the app and then press "got it". It worked for me and the app stays open. Unfortunately, I do not have a controller to connect neither a second smartphone to use an emulator: https://developers.google.com/vr/daydream/controller-emulator.
Try it out and let me know as I am curious of compatibility after a controller is connected.
If needed:
app version: 1.2.170117003 (search google daydream apk )
Google VR Services version: 1.1.141111507
