Put your Gnote2 screen off, place it on the table screen facing the top.
Wave your hand over the front camera & sensors.
???
Profit
Not hidden at all, that's 'Quick View' which is an option in the Motion settings. But you're not the first to get excited and post about it here as if you've found the Holy Grail.
this has been posted a few times already

It's really delayed. Just swipe quickly and after a few secs it will show. The proximity sensor triggers it as it is lit up red when my phone screen is turned off.

Mine zooms in or out when I touch the edge of the screen and scroll.
Is there a way to turn this off if this is normal? This is so retarded. I am just trying to scroll up or down web pages and what ends up accidently happening is zooming in or out.
Does that so you can zoom with the s pen. My unlocked note 1 did the same thing.

Thanks for the reply evohog. Yes it would make sense when the s pen is out but with the pen in. I just dont think its necessary. Oh well.
No problem, but I'm still getting use to not scrolling while touching the edges of the screen. Takes a little getting use to but it works out alright.

Anyone know if its possible to use the standard swipe lock screen then when swiped away, it comes up with a pin? I like the swipe screen,
I assume you can't then.
Damn..

I've noticed when I leave my phone idle when going to bed at night and when I wake in the morning that my motion gestures stop working until I unlock the phone a few times with the power button. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this normal or is it a faulty device? I got a screen protector but it's a normal spigen one so I doubt it's that.
Everything work here at least if I don't cover the proximity sensor...
You have to pick the device up. Move it somehow then the motion detectors will work

Oh I see. That's what I do wrong probably. I've always wondered why double tap wasn't working when laying on my desk.
Edit: Well it works but not always. Odd. Thanks though

If it's on your desk naked, rock it gently in either direction, then double tap. It work that way too

I maybe wondered since the phone went into deep sleep maybe it would turn it off to prevent battery usage. I remember picking up device and trying to unlock. I'll try tomorrow again in the morning.

ok waiting for your reply.
That's deep sleep the gestures won't work unless proximity detects movement and if the phone is in deep sleep then sensors are also

So, I was using my phone at night time when I discovered something really weird. If you hold the top and bottom of the phone (I'm doing this with one hand), double tap to wake does not work. Also, if you use the power button, it turns the screen on and quickly off.
Can anyone else replicate this? Try to hold the phone with one hand. Your fingers should by at the top and bottom of the phone.

It's cause your proximity sensor is covered I believe. So it thinks its in your pocket or something

Ah, yes. So it's a feature and not a flaw. Cool.

+1. But it did catch me by surprise recently, because I was holding the phone funny, and had my hand in front of the proximity sensor.
The screen uses the proximity sensor determine if its in your pocket and prevents accidental double taps. It makes the phone wonky in a dark environment but you can get it to come on still.
