After instalation of 6.0 update, my speaker turns on and of during calls, it is impossible to use fone. Also, rotation is constantly on, when you on home screen, it flips display, during cals. Anyone solution? Or we have to wait update with bugfix?!

Hi all,
This is my first post to the desire section - I have been installing custom roms on my HTC blackstone for a couple of years now, so I am not exactly illiterate in these things. But this is my first android phone and I have not gone thru yet the whole rooting etc. stuff.
So I have since a month now a desire. Feeling still a bit awkward after the blackstone, in that many thing were possible, that are not possible with the desire.
Well, to the problem at hand. I was excitedly waiting for the froyo OTA update here in germany. The phone is not vendor locked (bought from O2, but other SIM cards are working with it too).
The phone kept telling me "your phone is up to date". Then, one Sunday a friend of mine in Finland cheered, that he got the update OTA and it's working. So I tried the system update check too.
Since that, first of all, the system update is not anymore telling me "your phone is uptodate", but the check hangs itself in some kind of forever loop. It does not timeout with an hour at least. It simply never gives an answer. The setting for automatic checking is also set, apparently it doesn't get an answer either.
Secondly. Since that, the HTC sync is not working anymore. Whenever I connect the USB cable, the phone does not ask me what to do, it simply just starts charging. I've checked the settings, the phone should ask me, but it does not. Even setting default action to HTC sync - well - nothing happens.
I then installed HTC sync on another PC, and tried to connect. The other PC tells me there is an android phone connected to the USB, but the phone is not connecting.
Sounds like some driver would be stuck. I've rebooted all HW multiple times trying to solve this, well, no luck.
So now I am wondering.. Apparently I need to try some sort of factory reset first, to try to get the USB and perhaps also the system update to work.
Like I mentioned, I haven't set myself yet to getting to know android inside out, rooting, etc.
A quick look at the phone does not even mention a factory reset, just wiping personal data. That shouldn't do the trick anyways, or?
I did some searching on the Desire section of the forum, I could only find some solved stuff about US>B bricking, but I understand that is something that happened when flashing a rooted phone or so.
And otherwise, I couldn't find anything else related to my problems.
Does anyone have a starting point here, please? I haven't found out even how to do a factory reset so far
I hope it is not the advanced task killer I installed from the market, that has caused this.
Best regards,
abe
Turn your phone off, then switch it on while holding the volume - button. Wait about 10 seconds then use the volume button to choose recovery then press the power button. You will be at a black screen with a red triangle. Press volume up and the power button. You are now at the HTC recovery screen. using the volume button choose factory data reset or whatever it's called.
Well, hard reset took care of the system update. But it's now again saying "your phone is up to date" :-/
And the HTC Sync is saying that it can't find htc sync on my desktop. Hrmmm... I'll have to try it on the other pc too.

Got a HTC One X a while back and decided to keep it stock as long as I dont find a stable recovery. So my HOX was completely stock. Had no issuses with it for the time I have used it which should be around 15days. I did experience some random reboots. Overheating was a problem too.
Last night was using gameboid to play while watching soccer. After match, I tried to use inbuilt browser but it could not be launched. Everytime I started it, a menu opened with sending a report or not. Then tried google play store to download another browser, but that failed too. Even apps did not upadate. got a error. Dont remember exactly but most probably that was error 492.
Then i decided to reboot. After the HTC quietly brilliant screen, came the HTC ONE screen with some sound, and then hung up there. Tried a hard reboot but same thing happened but this time onwards sound vanished.
So what should I do?
Thought of going to bootloader and then factory reset but I have some important data in HOX and then doing factory reset might not solve the problem.
What should I do?
Just to tell you, Now when I went to bootloader and turned off and back on while plugged to laptop, its still on the same screen but this time its charging.
It does not charge while turned off.
Again,
Im unrooted - completely stock and not unlocked via htcdev.
Edit: The phone is charging now with the power adapter.
Edit2: Just did a factory reset via bootloader , back to normal now.
When still completely on stock and haven`t done anything.
I would say return it..
There would be answers and suggestions but why void warranty.
while my phone hangs up at htc one screen, is there any way the data can be restored? Im assuming running ruu erases everything since its virtual sd card.
Hey everyone.
Since updating to 4.3 OTA (was previously 4.1 rooted) I have had no need to even use my wifi, until now. When I slide the switch to turn it on it moves over (but stays grey) for about 8 seconds then moves back to the left. I have tried a soft reset and a hard reset. What can I do to fix this?
Please help!

You said you've done a hard reset. When this happens, at reboot and set-up, one of the first tasks you'll encounter is Wi-Fi set up. Did you set up a Wi-Fi access at this time? Usually when this is done, it stays on by default, unless you specifically turn it off.

I don't recall setting up Wi-Fi access. I was having hardware problems (power button issue) and was stuck in a bootloop because of it. I'm backing up all my stuff and will do another hard reset.
Ok so I just got around to backing everything up to hard reset. When the wifi setup screen comes up it doesn't scan, it doesn't do anything. I also found out that my Bluetooth does not work as well...
yesterday my phone was having difficulties when I tried answering a call. Today since morning, it was going off when the display got dim. So, I switched it off. This evening, when I switched it on again, it was having the same problem. So, I decided to factory reset. When I tried factory reset, the android icon was on display and after sometime the phone was on a reboot loop. Its trying to reboot automatically till now and failing again and again. what do I do now?

Was your phone running a custom ROM, was it rooted or completely stock...Did you install or do anything to it previous to these weird occurences.
Try flashing your phone with a stock FTF or use Sony PC Companion to repair your phone (it will wipe completely and flash back the latest firmware for your device).
Good luck!

signal lost an continuous rebooting
Hello guys, I realy need your help here.
Some days ago, out of nowhere my fone lost it's signal and started to reboot. The only way of stoping it is waiting while it drain 10% of my battery or more, or forcing shutdown by the OFF back button.
Does any one know what is happening?
I saw lots of posts about this trouble with xperia ZL and xperia Z, but I got no solution from this.
Thank you!
