[Q] [Help] Galaxy nexus rebooting continuously

Hi
My GNex (Unlocked GSM variant) is rebooting continuously. I'm on Resurrection Remix rom (not blaming the rom, just mentioning it), TWRP: 2.8.5.0
The phone boots up, shows the lock screen and reboots within 10 seconds. This is happening continuously....
I booted into Recovery and did a restore(of existing nandroid)/wiped/repaired/re-partitioned but nothing works, it'd just say successful but the ROM/Data doesnt change at all.
Tried flashing via ODIN, but it fails after transmitting system.img to the device. Tried using pit also. Used different cables/USB ports/machines just to be sure.
Once after the phone booted up, I somehow managed to disable the Wifi (in 10 seconds that the phone was ON)and it got disconnected. And after the auto-reboot the wifi somehow was still ON.
I assume that the memory blocks have gone to read-only mode.

Have you tried installing the latest factory image from Google?
If not, just download it (I cannot post links now, because I have less than 10 posts, but you can google it by yourself - galaxy nexus factory image)
For GSM maguro, use yakju or takju with Google Wallet support.
Extract zip somewhere to your PC, connect your Nexus with your PC in bootloader mode and run flash-all.bat.
After this, you will have fully working 4.3 stock Android.
Then you should try again flashing recovery, custom rom and kernel.

Hi,
I've tried this and also using the flashboot commands separately but with no luck. Thanks for your suggestion though.

If every attempt to revive your phone fails, then I'm afraid that you will have to replace the motherboard in your phone

Yeah, I've been thinking the same. Tried everything that I can and it's still in the same state.
Hi,
today my Galaxy Nexus started doing the same things you described. All trys to factory reset the phone or to flash a new rom were worthless. Did you get a solution for the Problem or did you change the motherboard?
Thank you for your help

Even my keeps on rebooting continuously.. did any one find any solution...Please help..Thanks in anticipation of your cooperation..

Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) Stuck at Asus logo screen. Cannot enter fastboot menu.

As mentioned in the title of the thread, my Zenfone 2 is stuck at the Asus logo screen. I tried installing an OTA update with the phone being rooted.
To solve this initial problem, i flashed Temp CWM with the help of my computer. I successfully got to the recovery menu and attempted to wipe all of the phone's data. I don't know if it did or not, because it got stuck on this process for 10 minutes, apparently not doing anything. So I did something that may have completely f****d the phone. I restarted it during the 'wipe'.
So here came the second problem: I cannot access the Fastboot screen anymore, therefore I cannot flash anything, and it still won't open. :crying:
Desperately, I even tried using the Asus Flash Tool to flash its original firmware, while at the logo screen. It won't move.
So, in case someone actually knows how to solve this, or there's someone with the same problem of mine alongside which I can mourn my dead phone, I'll leave this thread here. I also have an additional question: is the warranty valid in this situation?
Thank you.

Try using xFSTK. Search for it on the xda, read the whole thread before proceeding.
Note: If the moorefield device disconnects, press vol down and power at the same time

[REQ] Help: bootloop after 7.1.1 beta OTA and cannot enter recovery mode

I've been watching several threads for the last few days, and have not seen this exact issue. I would greatly appreciate some help.
Device:
- Nexus 5X LGH790 32GB
- Stock bootloader / fastboot
- Never unlocked / rooted / etc.
The only advanced thing I've done is join the beta program a few months ago to get 7.0 early. Got that without any issue.
Issue:
I received the 7.1.1 OTA on the day it came out. Installed with no problems. The next day, the phone just froze in the middle of regular use. After about 15 seconds, it started boot looping to the Google splash screen. I can hold volume-down to enter fastboot, but when I select recovery mode, it just starts looping again. Pretty much all I could do was power it off. I did find out by accident that if I left it looping for long enough, sometimes it actually loaded normally (I even saw beta program warning/notice). But when I tried using it for more than a minute, it would freeze, reboot, and loop again.
What I've already tried:
- I tried using the WugFresh NRT fix softbrick method. I was able to quickly turn on debugging one of the times that I left it to loop. But when NRT sent a reboot the phone, it threw it back into the loop and NRT stopped recognizing the device.
- I tried to follow the unbrick procedure using a TOT file in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/help/tutorial-how-unbricked-nexus-5x-16gb-t3481766 But even after using LGUP, I still cannot even get into recovery mode.
- I filed a bug in the AOSP here: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=225802.
I'm at a loss here. On another thread, a member suggested this type of loop was a hardware/solder joint issue. I suppose that's possible... but man, what a coincidence that would be! Just now after the OTA the hardware fails? Any other thoughts? I'm pretty new to a lot of the terms/methods here, so maybe I missed something.
Thanks, DCK.
Update: I tried using LGUP again. The phone still gets stuck on the Google screen then boot loops.
Now, however, I am able to get into recovery mode consistently. Other threads have suggested doing an OTA sideload at this point. But I cannot seem to get my device recognized. The NRT shows no ADB devices connected. So I'm still stuck. Is there another way to try sideload?

Try fastboot/bootloader mode and fastboot flash the OTA manually.
Update 2: Seems like all the other things I tried over the last few days have caused various unofficial USB drivers to be installed. I've tried uninstalling most of them. I downloaded the google USB driver from latest SDK. But my 5X is still recognized as a Kedacom device when it is sitting at FastBoot.
However, I must have made some progress because I was able to start the sideload process. Unfortunately, I am now stuck on yet another error. The phone hangs at "verifying update package" and then after about 2 minutes... it reboots itself and starts looping again!
I thought I had it. So close. Now I want to throw the phone. Going to sleep, but would be grateful for any other suggestions in the morning.

use nrt to erase all partitions, then download 7.1 factory image, unzip and flash one by one the partitions.

Sounds like the boot loop issue many people have been having (the hardware/solder issue). It happened to me a few weeks ago after upgrading to Android 7.0. I got a replacement device from google.
If you're bootloader is locked, NRT or any other method to flash the factory image is not going to work. The only suggestion I have is to un-enroll in the beta program and hope your device will boot long enough to flash the ota Google will send the device to get back to 7.0. Note, this will wipe your device.

Same problem here. It can't be recognized after I reboot to fastboot. So I can't flash anything.
If the device isn't recognized try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69273414&postcount=33. It's worked for a few of us with the same problem

Enter stock recovery then flash the full ota via adb sideload

OnePlus 3 will NOT turn on under any circumstances

Hi guys, my OnePlus 3 will not turn on at all. It does not boot into recovery mode, fast boot mode or regular booting up. No matter what button I press/press and hold, it does not turn on. I can also confirm that the screen is working and it doesn't have that display issue, it's literally off and won't turn on under any circumstances. What do I do? I've plugged it into my Windows PC and it detected my phone but it won't show anything about the phone at all. Please help me, I've been at this for over a week. How did this happen? It started with my flashing CM13 with GAPPS (Google Apps) and that worked successfully. I then tried to flash CM14 without GAPPS because I was too excited (stupid me) and now if I try to boot into recovery mode it won't boot up into anything at all. Please help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If pc detects phone try /adb devices ,if it detects phone, go like this: /adb reboot bootloader then it should reboot into fastboot. If so try fastboot flash recovery "yourrecovery.img" (I suggest stock recovery of oos you had before brick). The next step, if you boot into recovery is to adb sideload stock oos. Command for that is /adb sideload "youroosfile.zip"
You need to use Msmdownloadtool to go back to stock because you are stuck in EDL(qualcomm emergency download mode), check Mega unbrick guide and use method 2 to go back to stock, and i guarantee it will work 100%.

[HELP] V521 Bricked/LG bootloop; Accidentally wiped ‘System’; stock recov; lost hope

Long story short my V521 is bricked, as far as I can tell.
Here’s what happens:
Turn on.
Shows ‘can’t detect corruption’ unlocked boot loader screen.
Shows LG screen.
Reboots.
If I attempt factory reset via hardware buttons, I get a Nougat circle that says ‘Erasing...’, then reboots into the above loop.
Download mode seems to be nonexistent, as it just never works. My PC does not recognize it as the right device for LG support tool or Uppercut to find it, despite all drivers being installed.
ADB was working until stock recovery flashing (which I thought was gonna be a fix...)
And now I don’t know what to do.
Basically, the only thing I have is an unlocked bootloader.
Someone. Please.
Help me.
:crying:
