Start of the presale of the new UHANS S1 is just around the corner (you can refresh your memory about the phone with our articles here and here) and the speculations about his successor UHANS S2 and already starting to circulate.
Rumors were sparked by the leaked picture of the metal frame of UHANS S2 and its widely expected it will continue the trend set with the first installment of the “S” line (stylish and sleeky). So what sort of surprises can the S2 offer?
From the leaked picture we can predict pretty much similar design as the S1, but with larger display (probably 5.2 or 5.5 inches) and metal shell or at least some material with metallic finish. So far its hard to say just from the one leaked picture. Whats pretty much set in stone though is the fingerprint scanner placed on the rear just below the lens of the camera.
If UHANS S1 is the elegant model with very affordable price then what can the S2 successor have in store to blow us away ? What do you think and what do you personally expect from the new model?
Unlike the S1 with 2.5D glass back panel, UHANS S2 comes with a metal body ( 95% metal/body ration), of which the silkiness can be directly felt through the picture. Each curvature results from a fancy softness, without any sharp lines. Even the corners of the camera and fingerprint sensor have also been delicately dealt with curves, making sure of the whole smoothness.
Except from Space gray, two more colors as champagne gold and rose gold will be applied to S2. Colors are sharp, while grips remain soft. What else can we expect from the incoming S2? Aren’t you curious about it?

Could someone please post the exact dimensions of the Huawei watch case in mm? Every review or specs listing I've seen says it has a 42mm diameter - but this clearly doesn't include the 'lugs' at either end. I have a pretty small wrist, and so would like to know the exact height, width, depth of the watch casing, not just the face.
Really torn between this and the new Moto 360 42mm, which looks like it sits neater on the wrist. The Moto's wireless charging is another plus, although I wonder would this take significantly longer to charge than the Huawei's contact charger? However, the Moto's screen seems a bit of a let-down for a second-gen product in comparison to other watches. Any feedback on mic sensitivity and vibration intensity from those who have used the Huawei would be greatly appreciated also. Thanks :good:
EDIT: To clarify what I mean by 'sits neater on the wrist', reference this quote from Digital Trends review of the Moto: "That 42mm casing looks slimmer and fits more naturally on the wrist than the Huawei Watch, it’s closest competitor size-wise. The bezels are thinner, the profile more slender, and the lugs are angled correctly, so they don’t wing over slim wrists". Never mind - I've more or less decided to go with the 42mm Moto 360. Initially I was 100% going for the Huawei, but now I've pretty much made my mind up in the opposite direction, and was helped by the following threads among other reviews and videos:

Elephone has leaked the news about Elephone S2 Smartphone with Uni-body and Bezel-less screen.
Elephone will release the Elephone S3 handset which is known as uni- body with bezel-less screen. We can only get very little news about Elephone S3 from the leaked photos. It has 2.5d bezel-less design and rear mounted fingerprint scanner. And the body appears to be a curved metal backed uni-body design. It will be also three colors , Rose gold, gold and silver.
So will elephone s3 become the next hit of elephone?

Elephone EVENT to reserve an S3 before presale of April 27th:
More Details: http://www.elephone.hk/S3Event/Reserve
Elephone S3 will come out with Android6.0 Marshmallow OS.
my Unboxing and Firts Look review (Italian Comment):
Recently we have seen number of bezel-less smartphones coming from China, most of them look like from same ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) with slight customization, some phones are available on order some on pre-order and some will be launched soon. Most affordable bezel-less smartphone with 6GB RAM currently available to buy is DOOGEE MIX
At first sight front of this phone looks like MI MIX but carries its own differences, in design, in specifications and so on.
Design:
As we already mentioned it is tri-bezel-less smartphone with little bigger chin than MI MIX, which accommodates fingerprint sensor and 5MP front facing camera. unlike MI MIX it houses normal speaker on top which is clear than MI MIX but not crisp like other phones in market.
On back it sports 16MP + 8 MP dual cameras setup. 8MP camera is only used to measure the depth of field to produce great bokeh effect rather than taking a picture as there are many ways for dual camera setup.
Both front and back panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 which provides really great protection from scratches.
Display:
Display of this phone is super AMOLED 5.5 inches with gorilla glass 5 and body dimension is same as any 5 inches phone which makes is easy to hold and operate with one hand and enjoy bigger screen.

I've noticed on my S10+ that along the sides of the display, the oleophobic coating isn't coated along the edges leaving these waves of duller black.
Anyone else?
I remember posts about these on S9 or S8 so it's not exactly new issue on Samsung's, but just wondering how common it is..

On my previous Sony phone, i sent the screen for replacement because the oleophobic coating was completely inhomogeneous from edge to center and i could see darker/lighter bands and spots.
The replacement screen was not perfect but usable (embarassing screen factory production chain...).
As soon as in remove the film i ll give a look.
Mine doesn't look like that, it's all uniform..
Mine has wiped of the parts of the display where I am scrolling...first time ever on a Samsung phone that this happens. Had s8 s7 s6 s4...never happened
Interesting. I never had a phone not losing its coating . There is one point in time, usually when a year old, when the screen looks all scratched and banged up, but sooner or later it all evens out. Kinda used to it.
Ive never had a Samsung loose its coating. Including my S5. Only ever had an issue with a cheap Polaroid tablet and very slightly on my lg gpad 7.
Sent from my SM-G975U using XDA Labs
Huawei keeps straddling along. The Chinese company is now preparing to launch its upcoming flagships, the Huawei P40 lineup, very soon. We’ve been seeing several rumors and leaks about the design these past few days, and we even got a glimpse at some press renders of the Huawei P40. Now, though, it’s time for the Huawei P40 Pro, usually the more interesting one out of the pair, to come out of the shadow with leaked press renders thanks to the folks at AndroidHeadlines.
As well as two standard-looking lenses, there is also what appears to be either a macro lens or a ToF sensor to the right of the camera bump. All of this is enclosed within a rectangular, black camera bump, fitting the general aesthetic of other 2020/2019 smartphones such as the Galaxy S20 lineup, the Pixel 4 and the iPhone 11 lineup.

There is also a pill-shaped hole-punch camera, similar to the one in the Galaxy S10+, carrying a dual-camera setup. The display itself is curved, although the curve doesn’t seem as extreme as the one in the Mate 30 Pro, which fits the term “waterfall display”, given how there is a volume rocker–something that was removed in the Mate 30 Pro to give space for the screen curve.
Both the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro are expected to be announced during the first quarter of the year, so expect to see the phones very soon.
