Hello guys, quick question, I have an HTC Wildfire S that I want to root for a friend and I know I need S-OFF first so I am unlocking the bootloader via HTCdev but when it asks to download the RUU I don't see an option in the carrier category for t-mobile U.S.A so which one do I pick? Thank you

Thank you I tried it and got it working!
Didn't see a video on how to turn S-off for Tmobile US, did you just use the ACS tool and run option 4? or option 5?
debranding wildfire s
Hi. I rooted my phone and now I want to install unbranded rom. I have tried couple but they didn't work. My phone is US Tmobile, but I would like to install Europe rom, if it's possible. If the only way to do that is to make a GoldCard, can someone give me a link with instructions how to do that, because I've tried and I couldn't get it done.

To be honest I'm not sure if it did turn S-OFF I didn't check the phone after I unlocked the bootloader. What I did was unlock the bootloader and use supertools v3 to root the phone, I did use the option to try and s-off but like I said I havent checked the phone. I will check my friends phone today and see if it successfully s-off'd the device.

Well I'm not sure but u should try my method on YouTube from my channel which is the quickest, I'm MrTaco505 there. Search me up and watch my video on updating hboot/bootloader. After updating it should be HBOOT: 1.08.0099 and have ***LOCKED*** at the top. That means ur almost there. Get back with me if it worked for u. Good luck

I've done a fair bit of searching but I can not find which RUU I should be using to upgrade a GSM HTC One V with the CID of HTC_017.
This was a gift, as part of the experiment put on during DEF CON XX, and I genuinely do not know the origination of the phone, though I do have the packaging, serial, product, and other information for the device.
Looking to update radios, then root, but I got an Error 130: Model ID error when trying to flash an Asia_WWE RUU.

I, too, have a couple of these phones and would LOVE to know what model they actually are. (and where on earth to obtain an RUU for them!)
Here are the phones that i have on my desk right now...

IMEI [redacted]
P/N 99MRS148-00
S/N HT26MTV01214

I have tried the following...

... i have seen threads about the chinese version of the phone (are there huge numbers of people from China here on the forums with this device??) and a link to someone who has "all other versions" but that person's file share seems to totally lack US based RUUs.
Can anyone tell us what exact model this is and also drop a direct link to the appropriate RUU?
Fingers crossed.
i suggest you remove you're IMEI numbers, NO ONE needs to know them
thanks

alright, thanks for the update. i'm not overly concerned because these phones aren't personally tied to any of us, but i suppose it's a prudent move.
still no suggestions as to where one would turn for details of the RUU package?
you come from china?or you can speak chinese?

Bump - Anyone know if there is an RUU available for the HTC_017 CID?
I am currently using the CM9 on mine, but would like to try out Stock ROM if possible?
Also, would it be bad to change the CID to one in the Telus RUU approved list, to force that stock onto phone? It seems to be the only North American HTC ONE V stock ROM that is GSM friendly currently published by football.
I also require the One V RUU

Why do you want to change your cid.Supercid is like universal cid.if you change it you will loose it.But I think the command should be fastboot oem writecid HTC__203 (i am not completely sure though)
hello and thank for your anser but i know the command to change my cid but my problèm is that my device dont write the HTC__203 correctli.
HTC__203 is made by two underscore on the button "8".

In Europe, it's any one of these. It won't matter which you use:
HTC__001, HTC__E11
HTC__102, HTC__203
HTC__405, HTC__Y13
HTC__304, HTC__032
HTC__A07, HTC__J15
HTC__016
I Also Forgot
I also forgot mine.... I'm from Australia (not sure if that counts as Europe) and I'm unlocked without a carrier. I'm using a HTC One m7.
