Digging through the Nexus 5 factory image, we found a few key apps you can install to get the new Google Experience Launcher up and running on your device. Here’s what you’ll need:

UPDATE:*Google Search Force Close fix:
Long press the home screen, select Settings. Select Voice. Select Language to change the default. Change to another language, I choose English – UK. Hit Home. Do a Google Search. Repeat the first three steps. Change back to English – US.

Launcher has a very iPhone feel to it. Nice link thank you :thumbup: I'm using alliance rom 4.1.2 custom stock.

GoogleCamera FC!

Works fine on Temasek v70 with beta 3 boeffla kernel. Had to wipe data from clock before it worked.

FC when photosphere is selected i think... rest of app works fine

Already loving the launcher the only draw backs for me are not being to have folders in the app drawer, and the primary home screen being on the far left, not in the middle. Also, back ground selection seems very weird when trying to put a personal background.

I also can't seem to install desk clock, running 4.1.2 EMC3. Launcher and search working fine with no problems, boot animation looks great and system sounds are nice too

I'm using cm 10.1.3 ( Android 4.2.2)
But I cannot start launcher app,it gives me error like"PLACEHOLDER TEXT" Google Search not found
I already updated google play services,google search and I fixed fc
Any idea?
Edit: Reboot fixed my problem,launcher is awesome

Solution for Stock 4.1.2 (S3 LTE GT-I9305), maybe works on normal S3 too. (i had the camera from nexus 4 installed)
I think the libs are missing.
Do a NAND Backup and clear Cache.
Try installing http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2341049
then install the apk's for gallery and camera.
NO FC so long on photosphere.

Yes its the same, but looks better, tidier, haven't test all features yet. The Gallery has a new mode with photosphere pics, you can turn your phone to look, it's like to stand in the picture :laugh:

Fixed by installing new Google search. Guys, Any idea how to add more pages to the home screen? Thx

Get a app or widget and place it at the right or left and a new page will create

Ported Launchers that works on N7 2013

I know some of you are against changing the stock/vanilla android look, but for those who have tried any launchers that have been ported from other devices like Samsung, LG, Sony...
Wich launcher (share links if possible) have worked on your device?
Share your screenshots with the launcher in use and necessary steps to look alike.
The only decent launcher that i've been able to find working is the LG G2 launcher

It looks ok, but the icons are way too small and the weather widget size (4x2) is smaller than home grid size (5x5) so it does not center.

The TouchWiz launcher from the S4 also works. The launcher will be very small, but it can be enlarged using X posed Framework + App settings.

I also installed touchwiz from the s4 but it looks tiny and i dont know how to fix it, i have exposed module and the app settings but still dont know how to fix it. I hope you can help me

Suggestion, posting screenshots with the launcher in use and necessary steps to look alike.
I used XPeria launcher but kinda lagged on transitions. Also tried MIUI launcher but crashes on 4.4.2. Other than that it's smooth, fluid and looks good

Absolutely! Here's what I did. These steps are for those who don't know about Xposed Framework as well.
1. Make sure that Xposed is installed (the framework, not just the apk), download App settings module from the Downloads section within the app. Go back to the modules section, and activate the checkbox for App Settings.
2. Reboot. (It is recommended that you reboot for the framework to be installed for the changes to take effect. While this is true, I reboot after my modules are downloaded/activated. If not, they would require a second reboot as well.)
3. Navigate to "TouchWiz home" in App Settings. Switch it from Off to On, and change the DPI value to a resolution that you find suitable, and hit save. I use 460 for this launcher, and various values for different apps that I find is a waste of screen real estate (like 280 for the Play Store, and most of the Google Apps).

Got it working now, i didn't know which dpi setting to use, although the homescreen is 4x4, i wish it was 5x5 at least. Thanks for the help!

P.S.: Can't add any widgets to it. Not sure why the permissions are wrong, but I didn't care to figure it out. I don't use it.

you have to move to the folder to its destination.then need to set permission and need to delete the old folder.then reboot!

I AM JUST F*CKING TIRED OF THIS SH*T!
I am struggling note 7 camera to work! I open it, it says i need to grant permissions, i grant them and when i open it just fc! Tried everything, from cleaning data, to wiping all of my sd card and internal storage!
I am really tired of this! :crying::crying::crying:
My phone's model is SM-J500FN, and im using DJ_Steve's made stock 6.0.1

On J5 are some problems with some apps:
Note7 camera fc
Clock don't work
Keyboard fc
Calendar don't work
Phone & contacts don't work

-Project Grace Touchwiz Launcher (Also it works all well but when you select the option of wallpapers and themes, the start Touchwiz stops):
-Project Grace Clock App (at the time the alarm will sound the app stops):
Finally the nonfunctioning are:
-Note 7 GraceUX Camera (when opened, this stops)
-Note 7 GraceUX Calenders & Widgets (I could not install the apk, and move it to the system> app folder and give the correct permissions, the shortcut does not appear in the Pantall start. However the app may work when you can install)

Do u have emui 5 camera de odexed ?

I tried to install the Themes Manager application but the phone says me the package seems to be corrupted. I'm using Android Nougat and EMUI 5.0.

Yes, how do I install these?
I backuped the stock calendar app from system/apps, but I cannot install the emui calendar app, it says "corrupted" in total commander.

Try to download it again.

1 Make sure on QC7 firmware(preferred)
2 Make backup just incase
3 Place Rom in internal storage
4 Suggest you delete android file and download cleaner in app store and run to clean your system.
5 boot into recovery do full wipe and flash rom But please select Kernel S6 or S6Edge and takes about 15 to 20 mins.
6 Let Rom settle in for Couple days or more.

Its amazing why samsung left those features out but works well with our s6. I think it helped my battery life. The only thing is when set to full hd or hd when you reboot boot animation gets blown up but not a deal breaker. Thanks guys for all support and patience. My life is a little complicated right now personally. So thanks for all supporters. Wish I had someone more experience by my side to help me. I can never ever get anyones help from international thread or sprint forums for guides. But I manage to do my best. Enjoy!!!!

Disregard that.lol. not necessary. Deletes application data that prevoiusly downloaded.

4hrs is good, but may I ask if you use it continuously in 4hrs, or on and off screen for the whole day?
I am myself using rooted stock QC7, and if I use it non-stop, it would last up to 5hrs SOT. but when I use it occasionally, at the end of the day, the SOT is just around 3.5hrs or even less.

I use occasionally. Id stop and go online youtube. Stop check xda then youtube. Email etc. 7 hours on and off.

If we get lucky that Twisted kernel will become available i may ask soon. They got it to n920p Nougat already.

I keep getting force close with the Magisk manager app when I use a couple of apps such as Simple Reboot from Franco; in addition, Titanium Backup does not delete/unsintall any app even though it is rooted. Please advise. Thanks.
