Thought it'd be a great idea to have option between the captivate keys and on screen buttons like one plus one has.
My guess is it does not, someone can confirm...
Reason being is for ease of use when one hand operation as the captivate keys are being placed at the very bottom of the front.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Thats good idea ,will easy to handle by one hand
Even if it is not an option it should be easy to enable since android has it built in. Rom community could add it for sure.

Yeah I'd imagine so. But I'd rather HTC building a proper solution into the ROM to allow different combinations such as
1) Enable both
2) on screen only
3) captivate only

I don't recall one review mentioning that, and I've read/watched almost all of them. I could have missed it but I don't think capacitive/onscreen button swapping is an option.

I will have to rewatch them, like you I have watched 384723984792384 reviews so they all blend together. I'm sure I will watch them again soon and I will let you know. But I remember that someone specifically said we have the choice. He didn't show it but he mentioned it. He may have been mistaken so we would really only know once the phone is in hand...
I do remember that I watched a video where the reviewer said that you can have both. To my knowledge, this will come on the version of a custom ROM. I don't think that this will have a stock workaround for a solution.
My Evo LTE had on-screen buttons in certain AOSP Roms, but never stock. Not even Xposed Framework could enable on-screen buttons (at the time) for the Evo.

I'm sure adding qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 to the build prop will still show the on screen buttons

I use Facebook flow to do batch pic uploads. Its in the market. Once you log into the app and you go o to gallery and select multiple pics you then select facebook floe to upload them. As far as the pics rotating on you yeah it is annoying. I just take all my pics In landscape mode so they don't come out sideways.

Is it just me, or does this just seem more like a "HTC is better" spammer? Either way, Most major problems are solved by apps, such as the Facebook app mentioned above. Plus, no one seems bothered by the portrait/landscape extra step. So that is why no developer is wasting their time with it. The developers on here work hard to fix the short comings of stock phones (Such as seriously lacking battery life) Which, with my a new ROM and Kernel, I had over 20 hours of battery life today while TRYING to kill my battery. So I would say the developers are doing a splendid job, and you just come off ungrateful.

Ungrateful for wanting a mms issue resolved within the software? Blah, you are officially talking out your ass. HTC spammers? Conspiracy theory's? Lmao. Just be nice to come up with a fix for said problem. Why HTC can and others can't beyond me but spamming as you say a brand like HTC. Well, that's the truth and I am correct in my statement and have verified on other phones. Did you not read my post where I praised xda? Notice my post said devs? I meant that in hopes of not receiving comments as such as I believe this is a feasible question. You sir discredit the notion that people might attain information via other forums.
Question still stands? Thanks in advance!
Simple answer: HTC added a feature. There's no bug in the others. HTC is tagging the photos to mark which ones are portrait, then displaying them rotated. The pictures, though, are actually still in landscape, just turned to the side as your phone is.

Why not try some other mms apps in the market? While the devs here often help when they can, it its usually because many people want something changed, you are the only one who seems to need this purely cosmetic feature. On top of that, this site is for learning and developing. If no one wants to use their time to make you an app, their are plenty of resources for you to do it yourself. Or show a high need for the feature to entice the developers. At the moment you are the only one who cares.

Oooooh. Ok, so I a an android n00b. Nothing to see here, move along folks. Seriously, what screen was he looking at when he took the screen shot? As I spent 20 minutes trying to bring up that screen by pressing the power button and home button at the same time. At least I am not as bad as the guy who couldnt figure out how to open his brand new notebook because the manufacturer's logo was upside down (so it is right side up when the notebook is open and running) and he called Amazon and then the manufacturer for support before figuring it out. Left all of this information in a review that was captured on an Epic Fail website.

Yeah, given that the source article cites...well, nobody, I have a hard time swallowing it.
However, that concept is interesting--notice the 3 "lenses" at the top. Could this be a hint (or at least, speculation) of a Kinect-integrated WP8 powered device coming later this year?
I hope so--MS really needs to kick it into high gear if they want to make a useful dent in Apple and Android's market share

I actually wouldn't mind something similar to what that concept is.
The eternally continuous long list of apps is annoying to go through. I think maybe that's why iOS and Android have the different pages. There was probably some sort of research that indicated that people get fatigued by endless lists.
And bravo to the kinect idea. That would be great, and would definitely give WP a wow factor above the other platforms (finally).

I think the Note 8 inch is more like the Note 10.1 - meaning it's not designed for telephony use. Probably Sammy's intended response to Apple's new offering.
One of the other shots shows clearly that it has, what looks like, a speaker at the top. Just like a phone. Which doesn't surprise me as much as that there is also a huge bezel. I don't see how a phone call could be made on this.

But really where do we draw the line? Why can't larger sized tablets with cell modems also have the ability to make a phone call. I probably wouldn't use it, but it should be there. Realistically speaking....it is a phablet and not a phone...soooo why is people saying that it's too big? the only problems I hav with the device is 1. the camera should have been 8mp. 2. the design should have been a little more innovative instead of looking like a bigger note -__- and 3. What is up with the pixel density? 189? fuh real? At least 260....Anyway besides all those disadvantages I think It's super awesome and one of the best tablets yet....look past the faults and you'll fall in love *_*
I am thinking for an upgrade for Galaxy Tab Plus and this one should be ideal, but it will be used solely as tablet (not phone or hybrid whatsoever). But I want it to have tablet layout not like Tab 2 7.0 JB.

But in all seriousness, you gotta agree this is one of the most original and innovative accessories we have seen for Note 2 so far. Also, making case longer has its advantage to lower your grip for index finger to have more room to control the pad. What I would add to this since micro-usb connection already in place, a built-in external battery and to offer a custom case with some bumper/lip protection.
I keep coming back to this to figure out what problem it solves. with one hand I can reach just about everywhere on the screen that I would under normal non-gaming solutions.
Just not the right product for me.
But if you only have 3 fingers or something, great idea!
For those who are curious, this is basically the answer to the Pantech Vega 6, a korean only phone. I'm sort of surprised something like this came out so soon for the Note II, here it is. You may see more similar stuff like this being common as phones get larger and larger.
here's a short ad for the pantech vega 6, but all in korean. http://youtu.be/QwYhG4E3iiY
