S6 edge 6.0.1 vpn issue - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+

Got the update to 6.0.1 now with doze mode the Openvpn apps disconnect and doesn't reconnect which leave the device off vpn. Does anyone have a fix to the doze mode where you can excluded the Openvpn app so it doesn't disconnect while the device is in doze mode.
Thanks

I believe you can go to the battery information click more and i believe it has to do with optimizing apps or power? then you uncheck your app

Tasker and Wifi Problems

Hello,
i installed tasker to test some automatic routines.
But i have a problem with my wifi when tasker is active.
All 1-5 minutes my wifi disconnect and connect again, when i disable tasker all is fine and my wifi is stable connected.
I have no profile or task with anything of wifi in tasker.
The only tasks and profile that i have active is for bluetooth only and my car system.
Is there a option to fix this or is it a problem with the gnex?
My rom is 4.4.4_r1 [KTU84P] TREX and tasker is version 4.3u4.
edit:
I found the solution.
BT Near does regular Wifi Scans and will activate when it recognizes a device you have configured is nearby.

Sharing VPN connection by wifi tethering

Hello, as the title suggests, has anyone achieved VPN connection tethering thru wifi? I can't seem to make VPN Hotspot(an app by a developer here on XDA) work, but by using PDANET+, it works. Can anyone help me?
Works fine for me.
Here's my setup. I'm subscribed to NordVPN, and use an app called TetherNet VPN. Must be rooted. The key is to go into Developer settings, and turn off "tethering hardware acceleration."
It also depends on the order that you do things:
1) turn on your mobile hotspot, and connect your computer or whichever device you want, I usually let it stay connected for 10 min or so before step 2)
2) Connect to your VPN
3) Open TetherNet VPN and tap "Share VPN on Hotspot."
4) Enjoy fast, unlimited tethering.
When you wish to turn it off. I find it best to turn off the hotspot first, then disconnect from VPN tethering. Data connection gets a little wonky if you disconnect from VPN first. Also helps to reboot the device afterward.
It's a bit of a procedure, but well worth it if you ask me to get around Verizon's BS games.
Not possible for root? With PdaNet+, the client device doesn't see the hotspot.

Many thanks for this. Your app seems to work. The app VPN Hotspot doesn't work for me for some reason.
My device is on Android 5.1.1 and VPN Hotspot requires some newer operating systems.

How to get mobile data while connected to wifi that has no internet

I need this fairly often. I have a current need to upgrade a wifi camera that needs to be connected to its inhouse mobile app with internet access at the same time.
I have other needs for this. I have devices on local networks that do not have internet. These devices are remote controllable over ip, but i have to give up internet on my phone. I have had previous phones work in this application.
-Developer option "mobile data always active" has no effect, rebooted to be sure
-I have NEVER had any smart Wi-Fi switcher wifi setting suit my needs. Same today
-not rooted
-Oxygen 5.1.3 8.1 OREO

How to enable the Lock app feature?

Hi there,
I'm having some issues with my VPN app, which automatically disconnects after running for some time on the background. I'm aware the main causes may be related to power or memory management and I've already enabled the "Always-On VPN" feature for the VPN connection, the "Allow background data usage" for the VPN app, and the exclusion of the VPN app from the "Battery optimization" feature.
Unfortunately, the issues persist and my VPN service has suggested me to enable the "Lock" app feature for the VPN app. But this feature, which was introduced with the release of Android 7, doesn't seem to be enabled on Motorola devices. Is that correct? If so, how could I enable it on my Moto G6 Play running Android 9?
Thank you for your attention!

Disabling usage access permissions for Samsung Secure Wi-Fi breaks some apps

I'm trying to tweaking my phone to improve privacy. When I disable Samsung Secure Wi-Fi (com.samsung.android.fast) I can't use KDE Connect for example, a file sharing tool (it does much more than that), doesn't work. It can only pair my computer when I allow usage access permission for this app and reboot the phone.
However, Secure Wi-Fi is disabled when I go to Settings > Biometrics and Security > Secure Wi-Fi, because it asks to login in a Samsung Account (I don't have one). Maybe is actually active without an account?
