Do they charge when shipping or right away? I won't have the cash until my next check, about a week away, but want to lock mine in now (and snag that promo deal) . Should I take the chance or wait?
Edit : Well, apparently I need to learn to read and comprehend. It states on their site I will be charged when the item ships. Momentary lapse of common sense and some laziness on my part.
Although it says it may perform a pre-authorization, so I guess it's best I wait.

If they did a pre-authorization on my cc, it was for $1.99 from Digital River CE. It's the only pending charge that I do not recognize. We'll see when we shall see, I guess.

Strangely when I preordered the charge showed up on my card in full, ~654.00 after taxes. Not sure if that's cause it's being prepped to ship, but I read somewhere that a Canadian telecom revealed a May 2nd ship date

Could be a hold, I guess. The entry is "10/25 ATT K008 9969 BETHLEHEM PA $297.68". There's an identical entry for $1, which is the "is it valid" check. I remember at checkout there was a message to be sure the card had enough balance for the charge on the ship date, or the order would be canceled. That contradicts with the idea of them putting a hold.
Anyway .... something to talk about while waiting. Did anyone else get charged?

Yes, when checking out, it said a hold would be placed for the amount of the purchase. The phones will ship out starting on Nov 6 and the charge will go through and show up on your statement..

It depends what kind of card - Usually debit cards get charged or a hold for full amount. Credit cards get a different deal, varies from bank to bank. If you don't have the funds. and its a check card or debit card, don't pre-order - it will not go through. Usually it drops back off in a 3-6 day period, then re-charged, over and over until it ships ( at least that's Best Buys MO. )

They gave me a $25 discount, but I don't know why. So the $297.xx was what was left after adding sales tax and subtracting $25.
Any word on when we'll be able to pre-order? I already signed up on the info/promotion page but what about actual pre-orders?
I'm thinking some time after the contest is over. The contest ends on 9/15 but the winners aren't announced until 9/18. So lets say you won but you won't know until 9/18 and you placed a pre-order on or after 9/15( if it was open ). Then you would be stuck with 2 phones and that doesn't make sense because then you will want to cancel your pre-order if you won. So I'm thinking after this whole contest thing blows over on 9/18 is when pre-orders open. But its anyone's guess lol

I'll be using that same plan with my note 3. I found this thread to be really useful. It covers the T-Mobile $30 plan and VOIP setup.

That depends on the delivery company (UPS, FedEx, etc) and your (highly specific) location. Those variables are out of our hands - The only way you could hope to make a guess is if you knew which company T-Mobile is using.

Are they going to have both black and white in store on the release day? I know the note 2 was only available in titanium in store in my area. The white, we had to order on the phone.

I guess you're right, as I don't see it available on their prepaid website. I'd either buy it in store or even better, buy the T-Mobile version from Negri Electronics so you don't have to pay sales tax.

correct me if im wrong, but Negri doesn't offer Warranty for the phone outright. You have to purchase an additional $99 or $129 plan
Since I'm going prepaid, I'm just going to visit a T-mobile store and pay full price, rather than pre-ordering for the online store. It's better that way because you aren't forced into a credit check and a plan (if your a new customer like me) when you only want the phone.
Anyone get their nexus 7 at bestbuy? I already bought on the Playstore but sent it back for refund after 5 replacement because of screen bleed. Any reviews for nexus 7 lte on bestbuy. Thanks!

Got my wifi version at best buy in August. Pretty much the same as anywhere else, they aren't special like they get selective stock. Return policy is a good reason to get it from best buy though.

Do they charge you 15% re-stocking fee for "no reason" refund?
A while back, I returned a TomTom GPS because there was issue with the firmware such that it is not pronouncing the exit name, just "Exit in 100 yards". It was an issue known in TomTom forum because they were trying to break into a US market (they're primarily sells to European countries).
I went to BB, have an email from TomTom printed that say they know about the issue, and BB still want to charge me 15% restocking fee. Mind you, this was back when GPS still cost $499. After 1 hour going back and forth, they brought in a "tech", who just HAPPEN to know about the issue (he uses TomTom too) and then the Manager relent on the refund without 15% restocking fee.
So in the case with N7, how can I "prove" to them if my N7 have multi-touch issue, screen bleeds, etc that are known problems?

No questions asked within 14 days. I never get refused for even just telling them I didn't like it. No restocking fee ever mentioned
Ok... So, I bought my note 7 in august from Dubai when I was on holidays. I've called up Samsung at least 20 times now telling them to give me a refund or a replacement for the phone. And each time all they do is take my info and say they'll call me back but they never ever do. I've also been in touch with them multiple times through email but they still tell me to wait for a reply from Samsung... But it's been two months now, and nothing.
Here's my problem, I have a flight from the UK to Ireland for Christmas. And I have no idea what to do with my phone... It's not allowed on the plane. And I can't leave it in the UK... And I'm not willing to throw away a £850 device in the trash... I simply can't afford that. What on earth do I do?

Also, why can't you leave it in the UK? I don't get the impression you are emigrating, so surely there is somewhere you can leave it and pick it up when you get back? A friend, a relative, a locker at the station?

My flight is with aer lingus who have banned the phone. I cant leave it in the UK because for the two weeks I'll be in ireland, I'll need a phone... Lol, I can't function properly without one. I can't do my job without one. It's just not suitable for me to leave it here in the uk

Are you sure about Aer Lingus? I did a quick google and found they've banned it for flights in and out of the US, but I didn't see anything about a total ban. Earlier on, they were saying hand luggage only and not to be stored in the hold.
And if you really can't take it, then get a cheap temporary phone. Buy something off ebay for £20 and if you are really desperate, ebay it off again for £20.

I got a text earlier this evening that was all about how it releases the 21st but that they're shipping mine on the 19th "prior to its release". Not sure if that means that they're releasing it early or that they're shipping it then and I should get it by the 21st.

ALot of times tmobile will ship out a day early. When i got my note 7. I got it 2 days before release.
They ship it with next day air 2 days before release.
SO with it being a launch date of 20/21 they will probably ship out next day air on the 18 night or 19 morning. and most will get there phones.

Well, considering your credit card has been charged a week early which means that you're accruing interest for a product you won't receive for at least a week, I think I'm very special since I'm not accruing that weeks' worth of interest on my credit card as mine hasn't been charged.

YOU are paying fees for a product that was charged to a credit card that hasn't shipped yet that means 7 days of fees for I WILL NOT be paying fees as my credit card has NOT been charged as the product hasn't been shipped yet.
If anything, I'd suggest YOU contact the credit card because YOU will be paying fees for a product that hasn't shipped and will not ship FOR A WEEK.
