[Q] MY nexus lags

Friends im running 4.2.2 and PA 3.1 with custom kernal with minimal apps and almost 8 or 9 Gb is always free but somehow there is a noticeable lag in my phone . i cant figure out why??
please help me.

man i have downloaded the app but i barely know how to run it . dont want to play with codes so stuck again

You don't have to play with any codes when using lagfix. Just swipe to "lagfix" tab and click "run" and you are done (may take some minutes!). Worked for me.

Do a clean install and flash latest ak kernel diamond ed. ...oh and i recomend purity rom or vanir based ones.i had the same issue before i did this

I am afraid this lag can be also completely different issue (especially that op claims his storage is almost empty). I've tried Lagfix, rebooted and after 7 hours scrolling lag came back (stock yakju jdq39)

I run PA as well, do you have Force GPU Rendering and Disable HW overlays checked in developer options?
I do, it shifts some of the duty to the GPU, seems to make the scrolling and general navigation, smoother to me.
There is an issue with the settings not sticking through a reboot though, known to the PA team. Said they will fix it in the next release.

I also have this problem before, write speed dropped to 1.8MB/s, max 2.4MB/s, my internal storage has 6gb of free space and tried to use lagfix (fstrim) but it didn't help, finally I use USB OTG for TWAP backup and copy everything out of my internal storage, then wipe EVERTHING, system and internal storage, after wiping, I load back my rom to the phone and write speed back to 10MB/s, hope this can help you

Has anyone else tried XBMC on their shield?

It looks awesome, and works well for me. Since this device hooks up to TVs with HDMI, I figured it would make perfect sense to run this.

I plan to do this in about a month when I move into my new appartement and get me some big-ass LED TV.

Since navi x stopped working now I stopped using xbmc unless someone knows how to get it working.

SO much more on XBMC that does exactly what Navi did. Search! Showbocks android app has also proven reliable.

Uhmm Navi stopped working? That's odd because I watched Days of Future Past on Navi just in the month of July.

It is a emulator frontend.

The configuration is not easy at all, but it is worth.
I did some scripts to make it possible to have ALL roms with name, genre, cover, snap.

Thanks for letting me know that there's an app call XBMC, it's really nice.

That is a nice setup, did you need root to do it? I want to avoid rooting my device for now.

Roll Back
Roll back to a previous version of YouTube, (uninstall updates), clear the Cache and files and reinstall the update from the Play Store. That should fix your issue.

Same here.... Not sure why it's happening

Also having this problem. VS985 was showing beautiful 1440p videos and now can manage only 720p with a rare 1080p. I have uninstalled the YouTube updates, cleared cache and data, and reinstalled the update and the problem persists. I can't think of any mods I did after the last successful 1440p viewing a few days ago. I am rooted via Stump.

Sounds like a common problem now. I've only rooted my phone, no other tweaks or mods installed. Rooted from day one as well.

my yt app plays 1440p. Listen to the other guy and fix the app by uninstalling the updates, clearing data and update from play store. This should fix it

As I said in post #10, that did NOT fix the problem.

lol actually you re right, i can watch videos up to 720p. Thats really weird as i can swear that a few days ago i could watch them perfectly at 1440 resolution. i havent root or updated, so i guess youtube has stopped streaming at these resolutions?

Yeah. Looking at the comments on play it looks like more than a few people are having this and other issues.

Same issue here. And I know for a fact that 1440p videos were possible before. In fact, to test I had just searched for 1440p videos and had plenty of options. Now playing those same videos gives me 720p at best. And as stated already, uninstalling the update doesn't fix the problem.

Same here. Max I get is 720p. I have tried uninstalling update and installing previous versions. No go. I even tried converting it to a user app and nope still 720p

Sense TV app

Soooo, Sense TV app is gone, and HTC is forcing us to use Peel Remote. I've tried to launch Sense TV today, and it only redirected me to Play Store and Peel app. I can't even use Sense TV to change channels anymore... But I have problems with Peel. First, I can't import anything from Sense TV, and second, even if I skip importing, app doesn't work for me. Is there any way to continue to use Sense TV app, just for changing channels (without network add-onns)?

I have exactly the same problem and I am pretty angry at HTC and disappointed. Can't run SenseTV, can't run PeelTV and import remotes... This is very bad move by HTC in my opinnion! There are people that have no problems with Peel, but I can't start it!!

for me the same...it seems that only using this app as remote doesnt work any more
i´m looking for a good alternative but dont find any yet (especially the automatic wake up of the remote when you grab the handy is a really great function i miss on the other apps)
maybe someone find a solution for this needed server problem

Just download Smart IR Remote, 7 $ but it's worth it. You can make your own perfect remote, change size, shape, color, plus it supports every device with IR, not just TVs.

Anyone know how to make this display correctly on my Nvidia Shield. I can only see a portion of the screen.

Unfortunately these apks don't work on Android TV. Not sure why a similar apk can't be developed for ATV
