I recently factory reset my G3s [D722]. Since it rebooted I cannot pull down the notification bar, also the softkeys at the bottom of the screen do not work apart from the back key.
Also every time I reboot the phone goes into setup mode [enter wi fi code, google account, etc]
Running Android 5.0.2. Rooted (via king root) but I have never been able to boot into recovery using Vol Down + Power or Rom Manager.
Can anyone help??

Hi to everyone.
I flashed my N7100 with stock 4.3 ROM. I did flash via Odin 3.09. Phone was not rooted or modified before update.
After update (which went OK), I noticed there are 2 problems:
1. No lock screen possibility (all options are present in Setting menu), but phone will not lock
2. Power button only works like: short press -> screen off, long press power off. There is no menu after long press to offer ****down, restart, airplane mode.....
Does anybody know is there a way to fix this???
I'm rooted with Xposed framework and I randomly rebooted my phone earlier to have it turn back on with a functioning menu button. I looked through all the modules I had downloaded and even booted into safe mode but to no avail. I desperately need help with this.
P.S. When I try to edit the button combination via the settings app, it crashes.
hi all! I've certainly royally screwed myself over this time around.
I installed sling v3.2 and restored my apps, after restoration I tried to unlock bootloader with freegee (since it was pre-rooted) and freegee showed it was already unlocked, so I tried to flash a custom kernel and viola! this happened!
Problem is, my power button is close to broken and no amount of pressing down will turn the device off. is there anyway I can turn it off or save my Optimus G? thanks in advance!
UPDATE:
I've tried to get into download mode but to no avail (tried pressing volume up + down while ramming the power button on my PC desk). I tried Vol Down + Power and I got into factory reset mode, so i pressed vol down because I didn't want that.
It restarted to LG screen which showed that dreaded secure boot error message. This time around I tried Volume Up + power button and it restarted but with the message "something unLock!! restart boot!!" something like that, didn't really see what it was, it flashed too quickly for me to see what it said. Anyways it then rebooted into CWM and now I've cleared cache/dalvik/system/data and re-installed Sling v3.2!!
Hopefully this will work out so I'll update this when it finally boots back to life! (hopefully!)
BTW, my device is an LG F180K the Korean Variant, it's color Maroon with an Olleh logo at the back, just in case anyone was wondering.
TLDR: Need a stock image, root and custom recovery for the Lenovo A390T
Hi All,
So my Chinese friend brought me her mothers phone to try and fix. As far as I can gather, she tried to update, got impatient and rebooted it. It just permanently hangs on an "Updating..." screen. First thing I tried was getting into fastboot, I managed to get in and it said "Fastboot Mode" in the top left corner. My PC doesn't recognise the phone as connected (even though if I turn it on normally it does recognise ADB - ruling out any issues with drivers or my hardware I think?)
I also tried to boot into recovery. I get the little droid with the exclamation mark, but that's it. If I press the power button I see the menu for maybe a second as it thinks I have clicked on the first option (Reboot) - the up and down buttons do nothing (pressing or holding) so literally the only button I can press is power, which just reboots the damn thing.
The good news is I did manage to boot Android into safe mode, then tried a factory reset from there. It booted back up without a home screen app but everything else seemed okay. I could get into settings from the notification menu by pulling the top bar down, but otherwise it was just black with a top bar.
I downloaded an APK for Nova and installed that through ADB, and we're golden on the actual phone working again. What I would like to do is install a custom recovery in case it ever happens again, so I can easily recover the OS - and get a stock image. I did find this for root, but it doesn't seem to work (Framaroot says there are no exploits available) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50774585&postcount=7
So I need to root, install a custom recovery, and then get a clean stock image back on the device, any ideas?
Here what i did: found a newest version of "allways on display" from apkmirror and installed on my oreo g9600 phone. It boots, but only black screen and apps edge. But nothing starts from edge. Only power button work, it brings 3 option that dont work. Hard restart works, can boot to stock recovery.
The big question is it possible some how restore system without factory reset (or flashing rom)?

Click to collapse
boot into safe mode and see if you can go uninstall the app
Press and hold the Power button again to turn on your cell phone. Immediately press and hold both the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons on your device. Keep holding while the device boots. Once your Android device has booted, you will see the words “Safe mode” displayed at the bottom-left corner of your screen
