What is better?
Chroma or PureNexus?
jgcaap's CM - the best
Better is a very subjective term. But personally I love pure nexus.

+1 :good:
I love CM, really impressive performance but I don't use it because of the poor camera.
I'm on stock with Xposed (amplify, gravitybox, youtube adaway, youtube background, greenify)
+
Elemental X kernel
Tried PureNexus but somehow did not have good battery life
PureNexus + Franco ?

ICS is not as good for games as CM7.2 is. Not yet. So, yep, CM7.2 with overclocked processor is the best way

Cm9 and stock touchwiz use more RAM, so cm7 is cleaner android, and uses less RAM and gives more performance.
However my new ipad is still better to game on

Hey at all,
i just want to know if any ics rom is having the same ( or nearly the same) battery life like rempuzzle rom? becaue my problem with the ics roms is that i just lay it in my poket while school time for around 5hours and after these 5 hours the battery gone from 90% to 50%. (i just have turned on mobile data, my apps are: whatsapp, facebook,fb messenger and xda, no email account is syncing in backround)
and when i'm on rempuzzle it just goes from 90% to 80% ...
hope you understand my problem and can help me

Odp: [Q] best ics rom in the point of battery life?
delete unnecessary apps, change governor to smartass v2 and oc between 269-710. for me best in term of battery were erwon's cm9 and aokp v4.

hi,
i just rooted my z1c.
may i know the best apps to adjust the cpu speed?
I think that you will need another kernel to do that and after that good app to undervolt

just intalled No-frills CPU Control and tried to underclock it to 1.2MHz and monitor it using cpuspy and the max frequency is also 1.2MHz.
does it really work or they just changed the numbering in the apps? lol
will keep it 1.2MHz and see hows my daily usage battery life
here's my attached screenshot.

battery drain doesn't differs much during sleep so far. currently still testing around with the Governor and I/O Scheduler.
my aim is to get lower battery drain rate during heavy usage and of course to avoid increase of the temperature (quiet worst when using camera for a long period).
will give some feedback after 2 3 days of usage.
im using performance control that ships with RomAur, and works whitout problems

Hi guys,
Before moving my 9300 from stock to custom ROM I'd like to know if the current camera apps of AOSP roms can guarantee at least the same performance of the stock ROM in terms of picture quality and video recording fps in full HD.
Do you have any recommendation on the best app available at the moment?
Thank you a lot!

I think Google camera is the best..I have a problem with all AOSP ROM (AOKP.CAYNOGEN.) with video that is not playing as well it's laggu when I try to play any video are you facing that problem

Thank you.
I'm still deciding to move to a custom ROM as for me video recording at full fps is a must have.
You mentioned video playback is laggy but how is the same video playback on PC? Is it OK?
Thank you

Try Lenovo Super Camera

That's a good question. A picture/video quality is determined by the camera app? Because even I'm using Google Camera, looks like the quality is worse than stock samsung camera...

Yeah all the video is OK without any lag on PC &Touchwiz ROM but when I switch to AOSP and play it its lagging[emoji22]

I would say.. NONE.
There is no camera app for Galaxy S III that can actually beat the stock Samsung camera app.
Low light mode causes too much noise on other camera apps. But it appears very clean when clicked on the Stock S III app.
HDRs are amazing on the stock app. But on any other apps, it would totally appear horrible. As if there is no difference between the normal pics and the HDR clicks.

I have tried many AOSP roms for GTi9300 but none of those roms camera were as good as stock camera. I would recommend cm11 as its camera is much better as compared to cm 10.2
I'm using A Better Camera and so far I find it very good almost as good as stock TW one.

Which ROM are you on?
Can you post a full HD video to check for lags?
Thank you

I'm on RR 5.1.5 bit rate is about 10 mbits (I know that is low) but no problems playing with mx player

I'm using Snap Camera HDR
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.marginz.snap&hl=pl
Apk has many options and make quite good photos in HDR and Burst mode. Works (IMO) much better, than A better Camera... generally works better, than any high noted Camera apk from Play store. I've probably tested everyone of them.
For smooth videos flash v5 camera fix libs or use tasker or per app settings mod and force performance governor to be turned on while recording. Lags are all about governors.
Google camera for the win [emoji106]
After trying it i can't look back at any other and nothing else can do the photo sphere and panorama like it. plus its got a very good editor.
Google Camera or DSLR Camera which makes perfect pictures in macro mode - here's an example.

Hi!
I recently updated to lollipop and I'm not Daria shied with it's speed, lock screen is very laggy and I often expirience long lags on daily usage, altrough I did factory reset after updating. I would like to know if anybody is working on some custom kernels or any performance tweaks for this soft?
Check my post.
