Mt6735 porting help - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

How to port Roms for mt6735 new 64bit architecture running on Android 5.1

This is a new architecture of Mediatek.
The old methods of MTK porting may not work.
You can try the old method of :- Selecting a device with same arch and specs and replacing the specific files of your ROM to that ROM.
Hope it will work.
But before that i have a question to you !
For that you need to have your Stock ROM as rom.zip . For that you need a custom recovery. For that you need to be rooted
Have you rooted your MT6735 ?
Because i am not able even to root my device .

Yes rooted nd installed twrp
NOTE:- created twrp myself nd flashed stock ROM through twrp nd it worked
Sent from my Pixel V2 using XDA-Developers mobile app

How were you able to port twrp for your device ?Please tell me a way .I am not able to port a custom recovery though i have rooted by device.
Please help me . I can give you my stock recovery , boot img . Please port one for me .
here is my archive of Boot , Recovery images http://www.indishare.me/stdb32knjrk1

ReGain Root access [Guide]

Root access losted after installing stock/custom rom ? Or by flashing the old backup???
OK OK I know that because that's why you are here
Don't worry you don't have to reroot it again
Just do what I said below
Code:
1 . I think the custom recovery will there (may be the cwm or twrp )
2 . Download the RootGainer zip from [URL="https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/r76fdxxwed10yja/RootGainer.zip"]here[/URL] .
3 . Flash it using the recovery and reboot your device
Now you are going to amaze
Note :- This zip will only replaces the su values ... Flashing this zip may or may not be cause brick . I am not gonna take any responsibilities . Just think what you are doing before flashing.
It works on my Galaxy S Duos and maybe work for yours (my processor is arm )

Downgrade from Lollipop to Kitkat ( lollipop Rooting Guide )

welcome Guys . Here is a new tutorial on how to root ( with and without cwm recovery ) then install cm11 and downgrade to kitkat. I was trying this from morning and had success in downgrading. I dont like lollipop and i had lectures on flashing so i wanted to be on kitkat so here is a working downgrading tutorial. I dont have time to explain full steps. but a normal flasher will understand . I was not able to install cwm or any other recovery on lollipop . It always used to take me to stock recovery . I used many methods but was unsuccessful in install recovery . I used flash tool to flash img and many other techniques so later i just booted from recovery and rooted without recovery installed. I was not able to flash stock Kitkat rom on lollipop . There was some error .
Below are all simple steps for downgrade . Special thanks to varun . He helped me a lot. All DEVs for providing files. I have provided all download links at last with video tutorial and full tutorial links to understand each step clearly .
STEP 1 . ROOT your LOLLIPOP
Method 1 . Use normal method and unlock oem , flash recovery and flash the new superSU file.
Method 2. Without recovery
Requirements :
OEM unlock
ADB and FASTBOOT setup with recovery img in the folder.
Commands : ( in fastboot mode )
fastboot boot recovery.img
flash SuperSU file...
STEP 2. Install CM11
Method 1. Use normal method to flash cm11 . Clear Userdata and cache. Boot into recoverymode.
Method 2. If you are without recovery then boot into recovery again and flash Userdata
Commands : ( fastboot mode )
fastboot boot recovery.img
Method 3. After getting in recovery user adb sideload
commands : ( in adb sideload mode. )
adb sideload filename.zip
STEP 3. Flash Stock ROM
Requirements :
ROOT
CM11
Just flash stock rom using SP flash tool

Trying to downgrade from Android 6.0.1 to 4.4.4. Used SP Flash tools after unlocking the bootloader, but the phone never gets detected in SP Flash Tools. Tried both the "Firmware upgrade" and "Download Only" options. Any idea what could be the issue?

Custom Kernel TO Stock Kernel please help .

Is it possible to simply flash the stock kernel/boot.img in TWRP recovery by not using a computer ? or does it need to manually installed by using a computer Im pretty confused about those fastboot and bootloader .

How to downgrade Realme X to Android 9/ Color OS 6 from Android 10 /Realme UI?

Hello devs,
I upgraded my Realme X to android 10 using OTA.
Although there are no serious bugs, the UI has minor glitches now and then. But the camera has lost its quality significantly. It is taking comparatively bad photos now when compared to Android 9.
Can You kindly write a guide on how to downgrade to Android 9? It will be really appreciated.
Thank You in advance.

Download Stock rom released on 19th Feb and flash it manually if your bootloader is unlocked or if you have custom recovery

Bootloader is locked. Can't I flash older versions?
I have the same query. Any help would be highly appreciated.
Bootloader is locked. I just purchased the phone and upgraded to Realme UI. Now I want to downgrade to colorOS so I can either use it or flash the phone to other ROM(s) which is completely impossible as of now in Realme UI.
U can unlock bootloader using In depth test app and adb but u can't use TWRP because TWRP is not supported in android 10.
What about fastboot? Can we flash Android 9 using fastboot? Have you successfully downgraded?

Hi
I've bricked my realme x and that lead me to start searching ow to unbrick it, and with that i can tell you there's a way to make a downgrade of the android version.
The first thing you need to have is the .ofp file of the software version you want (if you have the india/global version you will not have any problem finding it, but if you have the chinese version you probably could not find it *i've been searching a lot for this file, if you find it, please let me know*)
once you have the ofp file you need the flashing tool of oppo, known as msmdownload tool, the issue with this is the tool will ask you for username and password, because its for oppo workers, and a lot of patched versions don't reconize the file.
If you made this far its pretty simple, select the ofp file, connect the device pressing volumen + and volumen -, and push in the icon of flash.
you can do it in another way, unlocking the bootloader (theres a tutorial in this forum), and then flashing a recovery (you migth flash a custom rom first via adb/fastboot) a zip file with the twrp, and then using the flashable zip of color OS
I hope this help you, but if you're not very mastered in this i reccomend u let realme work of improving the rom or using a gcam

you have to flash the recovery after flashing another rom
