[HELP] Problem with digitisers - HTC Wildfire S

Hello Folks,
This is my first post.
I have a HTC wildfire s a510e with broken screen. I went to a local shop for changing the digitiser.
The problem is I tried a couple of different digitizers but all of them were having the same problem. In all of them the part of the screen above the back button including the button was unresponsive.Whenever pressed harder it worked either as the portion above options button or search button. I tried the calibration process mentioned in one of the posts but it doesn't seems to work.
Please Help me.
Waiting for your reply and sorry if posted in wrong section.

navi keys question

hi guys can u help me out with my little concern, my navigational keys, windows button, ok button in the front suddenly stopped working, before it was working i tried to flashed new roms, cleaned my board but still no avail, a tech told me might be flex issue.. what do u think?

Maybe... Maybe not... why dont disassembly it by yourself.. and see if the pad is not dirty... you can do it for free or go to the tech and make it for some bucks.

[Q] Back button problems

Since a while my desire is having back button problems. Since I have tried different roms after the problem occurred and the problem persisted with each of those roms, I believe this is a hardware issue. Now, I could of course have my phone serviced to resolve the problem. But the downside would be that I don't know if this still falls under warranty (the device is over a year old) and that I would lose my phone for a period. Since my contract ends in October and I was planning on purchasing another phone by then anyway, I thought maybe there are some options to help me stick out the time. For example, I was wondering if it's possible to modify it such that pressing the search button also triggers a back press. Since I _never_ user the search button, I would not lose functionality but would gain a bigger, more usable back button.
So, my question is: Is it possible to modify the search button to act as a back button also, in result creating one big back button where pressing anywhere would suffice?
Thanks in advance for your help!
FYI: My desire is rooted and runs Cyanogenmod 7.1.0 at the moment.
have look here /system/usr/keylayout/bravo-keypad.kl
and here
remap keys as you require
Thanks!
Thanks for the tip! Couldn't get it working at first with manually editing the keymap, but after some searching I found "ButtonRemaper" with which I could get it working.
hmm this only works within a rom right? since my volume up button is useless so to access hboot often requires several tries...
You right just in the Rom

[Q] wildfire s digitizer issues

hi all
used this forum for solutions a few times but unfortunately couldnt find one this time so needed to make a thread!
ive just replaced the digitizer on my sisters wildfire s after she cracked it. the touchscreen seemingly works fine, except for the buttons at the bottom (ie home, menu, back and search).
ive had it in bits numerous times, with and without tape on the screen. tried the goldcard routine to apparently calibrate the screen, but nothing seems to be working. the rest of the touch screen seems perfect and accurate... just no buttons at the bottom.
anybody have any ideas?
thanks
liam
ive got the same kind of issue , the letter " i " and " . " didnt work so i replaced the digitizer and ive even installed a new ROM but still have the same issue , its really begining to piss me off now someone please help us

Please HELP : Freezing Lock screen and problem with touch screen.

Hi All,
I have a rooted (boot loader unlocked) HTC Wildfire S Marvel (A510E)
It has a strange problem. The lock screen freezes every time after locking and I have to try about 6 to 7 times to unlock it.
This is Common across all the ROMs that I have tried including stock and many Custom ROMs.
Also, two stripes of portion of the phone's screen i.e., upper side and left side doesn't work at all.. Not even touch.
For ex; I can't type alphabets 'q' and 'a' in qwerty keyboard. However, display is working. not touch.
The warranty of phone is expired and I really want to know if there is any way that I can fix either or both of these problem in home.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Kindly inform me if I posted this question in wrong area as I am totally new to this forum.
The lockscreen 'freeze' generally happens to everyone, even me,when I use the scary governor. It also happens for stock users.Did your screen die due to excess heat at that area I.e.do you use it in extremely hot conditions?
Lock screen > Grounding issue
I bought Wildfire S day before (New but without warrenty) and it was working very good. When i charge it full and then started using it its lock screen in not responding well. After doing 5-6 retries i was on the home page. Opened menu and tried to click on Favourites or Downloaded icons, it not working. Sometime it does but i cant open downloaded apps page. Similarly its back button is totally not working.
I charged it from my other HTC charger and then then problem was over. I worked well. But again after some time same problem started. I have searched over internet and seen similar problem in HTC Sensation for grounding. And there is a way out given too... But no such procedure can be applied to Wildfire S.
Can anyone suggest any solution?
Thnx.. Nope..

Maybe you damaged the digitizer. Search for a new digitizer on net and replace it yourself. You can find guides for it online.

HTC phones have severe problem of screen not responsive when connected to a power source, may it be a USB or a charger. I had that problem before I got my phone serviced. It was completely resolved.
Just use original charger and make sure the power plug you are using has proper wiring. I mean proper earthing.
I faced same problem few months ago,I send it in HTC customer care .they replaced front panel

[Q] WFS touch screen not responding properly

Hi,
The touch screen in my wildfire s is not responding properly. Sometimes while using the phone, some touch feature gets clicked automatically, for e.g. when I am using the camera, the home button gets clicked automatically and it comes to the home page or some time the search window pops up automatically from no where. Rooting the device or putting a custom rom din't help.
Please help me to know whether I need to change some hardware from the service center or does this prob has some soft fixes?? Any body else having the similar kinda prob??

I've had similar things happen on my Wildfire S, but only under 2 conditions:
1. When my fingers/ the screen are wet. It tends to think i've pressed every button on the screen.
2. When the phone is overheated.
So if it's either of those problems, the first one is common sense to fix (dry yo' hands). The second probably means you're using too much RAM. Use a task manager to see if you have any RAM hogs.. It's probably neither of those, but it's the best I can do.
I've had a couple wfs that had problems similar to the ones that you are having. I just took the phone back because it was under warranty. Touch screen problems is a hardware issue that can't be fixed by flashing a ROM but sometimes it can but it depends. In your situation I would take the phone back if its under warranty. Is your phone new? When did you start experiencing this problem? Hope this helps.

I don't think that is the case with me as sometimes it happens just after the restart of the phone also. Some time it stops responding completely. But when I lock the screen and unlock it again through the power button, it starts responding properly. Can be a hardware issue. Is changing the digitizer gonna help? (I dnt have much knowledge about the hardware though.. )
