This video from LG @2:18 says that you can restore the app drawer via a 3rd option from the home settings. My phone only has 2 options though. Anybody able to restore the app drawer?

I may just change launchers, but I sure wish I knew how to enable this on the stock launcher.
i just went with Nova launcher...didnt want hassles...also moving and deleting windows was a pain..
I went with nova as well. I can't seem to get weather to display on my lock screen and I don't know if its because I'm not using the default launcher ?

I realize its been 3 weeks since last post but in the lg software settings when i got my g5 recently there was a download available for home and app drawer launcher. Stock lg without downloading a 3rd party launcher

I'm using LauncherPro Plus on my stock but rooted Epic Touch 4G, but any time I use the built in (hold-home button) app switcher it clears the default setting for the launcher app and I have to reselect LPP and set it as default. How can I avoid this clearing of the default launcher app?
Also, any suggestions on how can I replace the stock app switcher with one that shows more than 6 apps?
Thanks in advance for any advice...

Just downloaded launcher pro to test this and I cannot replicate the issue. I downloaded LP, hit home, clicked set as default and chose lp. Once lp is loaded I then held home for the mutlitasking screen, navigated around a few apps, hit home once and back to lp I go..

When you install a new launcher typically the first time you hit the home button, it will ask you to select the launcher of choice. After doing so before hitting okay or accept there is a box at the bottom to set as default. That has always worked for me.
Edit: always sfhub or barnicles beating me : (

Yeah, I set this (and reset it) but it doesn't stick if I use the app switcher. Weird? I didn't have this problem running LPP on my OG EVO on CM7.

Weird, thanks for testing dude. I wonder if there's something I have installed that is conflicting with the launcher preferences? So, are you all still seeing the default Samsung TW app picker that only displays a few app icons and has the link to a task manager?

Yeah. This isn't controlled by launcher pro.

Ah, turns out it was a conflict with QuickDesk (even when it wasn't set to be the default home app). Thanks everyone for your help.
Hey,
I'm running Vanilla Rootbox-V4.0 kernel 3.4.45-cyanogenmod and I'm having trouble with my phone. I can't seem to find a couple of my apps in the app drawer I noticed. They were originally in the app drawer at one point in time and then when I tried to open it, it disappeared from the drawer. Any ideas what's wrong? I seem to be having other minor issues too and am wondering if I'm having kernel issues.

Stock launcher or custom launcher?

In the app drawer check that you don't have an extra tab for downloaded apps. I fell for that once lol

Hello All,
I'm prompted to select a launcher after each restart. I've completely reset my phone and the same thing still happens. Is this happening to anyone else? I'm using TouchWiz, not a third party app, but it does happen with third party launchers too.

The best solution is to only have one launcher installed.
You can either uninstall the launches you don't use or
if you have titanium backup you can FREEZE the launchers
which are not being used.
That way the launcher of your choice will load automatically
each and every time without prompting you to choose.
Good luck!
Recently all my apps have disappeared from my app drawer. Updated apps will show up until reboot then gone. Cannot find a setting to refresh. If you switch to the stock (TW) launcher does it still happen?
Also, in Nova, double tap a home screen to bring up the menu. Scroll to the bottom, tap advanced, tap restart Nova. If that brings them back you likely have an issue with Nova.
Yes...tried that...they just don't want to live here anymore.. I have to go to playstore for the app I want and open it from there....apps are installed but just not in the drawer...they will stay on the home screen if placed there but not in the drawer....never seen this before....no new changes to rom or downloads....weird

I (personally) would make sure my apps are backed up with TiBu and reinstall the rom.
Yeah I agree...just really didn't want to go that way but probably have a glitch....such is the life of a flashaholic...thanks for verifying what I suspected.

One more thing, if you haven't already, make an update zip in TiBu by long pressing the recent apps thing while in TiBu... Not from the menu. It makes a zip that only installs TiBu and its settings not the apps. This is better (imo) as sometimes update zip with apps can be a little squirrely.
When you get it working right let us know.
Good luck!
Cool beans....thanks...will keep you informed...

Factory reset...reflash rom w/o mods...reinstall apps without data...reset previous screen setup....all back...all good now...thx all

Hi all,
Since Android 7 OTA, I can no longer drag an app from the home screen search bar, for example, to put it on home screen or get info / uninstall.
Maybe it's user error, but I wondered if anyone else has this problem?
It works fine if I go via main app drawer, but that's a pain.
Thanks.

I think they removed the feature from the Google Now launcher because it's also not working on my Nexus 5 running Android 6.0.1
Thank you! Thought I was going bonkers.
That sucks...it was a good feature.
