Hi,
I have been running cm13 for about a month now. I decided to update it but when I tried to boot into recovery is said
Fast boot mode started
UDC_start()
What does this mean? Do I still have twrp?

Hey guys, just rooted my G2, I followed the instructions closely and in the bootloader menu it says S-OFF. I can boot into the OS fine and I have root, but when I'm in the bootloader menu and trying to boot into recovery I get stuck on this screen with a triangle and a exclamation mark. I tried flashing clockworks recovery image, but still no good. Any ideas? Thanks.

Issue [SOLVED]
Yeah, sooo I just fixed it. All I did was reflash the radio image to the latest version then flashed clockworks recovery again and from clockworks rom manager app I was able to get into recovery with no problems. Give it a go, heres the link on how to flash just the radio: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=836081
Cool ill give it a shot, appreciate the tip

My Verizon M9 was rooted with a Java Card. I attempted to install a rom via Twrp recovery. I erased my original rom and restarted my phone. I was unable to go to the recovery mode. I am only able to go to the download mode. What should I do? (boot loop)
You can download stock rom from HTC and start over.

Verizon doesn't provide ROM via HTC website
Did you try reflashing twrp in download mode?
Sorry didn't see that you were with Verizon. Definitely what ielvis said. Try flashing twrp again.

I flashed TWRP but I cant get into recovery mode. I just see a image of the twrp logo then my phone restarts
Hi everyone,
I have a dev edition m9. I updated to marshmallow via OTA earlier today. The update is working fine. I flashed TWRP 2.8.7.0 and that's working fine as well. But when I try to root the system, it gets stuck on the HTC logo. I have tried it with SuperSU 2.46 (stable) and 2.52 (beta). Both times, I had to reboot into recovery, wipe cache and restore the system image backup to get my system back in working state. Please help as I need root access. Thanks.
U have to change bootloader with marshmallow

What does that mean?
Your bootloader is the animation when u power on the device watch the videos on YouTube ...just search nexus 5x root there are a few I know its a different phone than u have but the process will be very similar

It talks about flashing a modified boot. I haven't seen any boot image corresponding to the M9.
U said u just got the ota today ,correct?.... Just keep checking in for it ....I'm sure it'll be available in a week or two

@bigduke$: That's not really the solution for that problem. The M9 doesn't get rooted the same way the Nexus 5x does.
@slvrhwk: You need to use SuperSU 2.65 and TWRP 2.8.7.1-Beta1. Android M needs system-less root that's why your system didn't boot.

Excellent! That worked! Thanks a ton!
I'm new to HTC process so go easy on me...(came from Galaxy S4 to m9)
I'm currently on mm 6.0 and yesterday I installed sunshine 3.3 after seeing @jcase post it was good to go for Verizon m9. So I'm now s-off and bootloader unlocked...here is where my confusion starts....and maybe I missed the thread that covered it...but how do I root and install twrp? All the methods I read were for java cards and xclips. But not sunshine...will they work the same? Also I do not have a PC with windows is there an option for Linux users...thank you for any replies, I appreciate your time and help...

Work the same as javacards/xtc clips
Flash TWRP with fastboot per the twrp thread, and then supersu

Unlocked with Sunshine as well, trying to flash TWRP with fast boot. I get the message it is successful, so when I reboot I hold the volume down and power per TWRP's instructions but I get stock recovery. Any advice?

You are getting download mode. Not stock recovery. Now select reboot-boot loader. On the white boot loader screen select boot recovery.

That did it. Thank you. Next to flash SuperSU.
First HTC phone, is the RUU what's used to recover from bricks and bootloop? Just flash with fast boot? Like to know my options to recover before I start flashing.
