Bricked E986! Help plz

Hello guys,
I have E986 model of OGP and I tried to root and flash CWM to my phone. Rooting process was successfull however freegee bricked my phone and now it says "Secure booting Error! Cause: boot certification verify". What's the solution? I'm pretty noob on this phone as it's my first LG android device. I'll appreciate any help!!

Right now I'm following a guide to unbrick an Optimus G. Downloading the FW is the first step. It doesn't seem so difficult. If I manage to unbrick it, I will share step-by-step guide here.

I'm f***ed up! Nothing works. Who can help me really I want to kill myself.

Hi u can flash 986kdz

My E988 has problems just like yours.
Got stuck in the 'Secure booting error'.

While pressing both volume up/down together, connect your phone to pc via usb. Open LG Mobile Support Tool. From options, choose upgrade recovery.

As I recall, last time I tried, it can't find my E988 through USB.
I did install driver before I connected the phone.
Any other setting required?

As I told you, you need to be on download mode. Follow these steps:
1) Pull out the battery. Your phone will be turned off
2) Insert the battery but the phone shoud stay turned off. Plug usb cable to the phone but not to the pc
3) While the phone is off and battery is in, press both volume up and down buttons together (Do it with your single hand)
4) While you are pressing the buttons with your hand, plug the usb cable to the pc with your other hand.
5) You should see phone gets into download mode (DOWNLAD will be written on the screen)
6) Now the pc should recognize the phone.
7) Open LG Mobile Support Tool
8) You should be able to see that it recognizes the phone. If it doesn't, repeat the first 4 steps when LG mobile support tool is open.
9) After your phone is seen by the pc, choose Upgrade Recovery from Options.
10) It will check the FW from internet by using the imei Number of the phone or you can enter E988 and your serial number manually
11) Then it will download the FW and recover your phone. It will take time according your connection speed.

Thank you. Finally, Mobile Tool detected my E988 and is downloading the firmware now.
Something wrong with my Win7 , it just can't find the driver for E988.
Then I open XP mode in my Win7 and try again. The phone was detected and Mobile Tool open for action.
Thank you again. My E988 already bricked over a week.

[Q] LG G3 without connecting more !!!

I come across this forum as conceptualized ask for help to solve a problem I'm experiencing with my LG G3. try to get into recovery by powering the phone off. remove and reinsert battery. plug USB lead into USB 2 port on the computer. press and hold the volume up button. keep the button pressed while you plug in the usb lead to the phone. that normally gets in to recovery. (does not always work with a USB 3 port for me).
then flash kdz in "normal mode" using the instructions in another thread. or use the LG more support tool. (sorry, not able to search for the correct threads at the moment, need to log off for a couple of hours...)

Even following the tutorial restoration via KDZ not had success, catering to more starts in less than 2% of a message to retry, or my device is stuck without being able to restore even via KDZ, does anyone here know of one restuara hint how the recovery mode LG G3?

you might want to do a clean reinstall.
Download the KDZ file (V10h or V10j) and try with the CSE flash option in LG flash tool.
boot into download mode (hold power up and insert USB into PC) and then hit CSE flash.
even if the tool says it's done, just wait - do not click Exit. The phone might still do the upload (check the progress on the phone itself).
Be careful about the version of the KDZ file you download - do not use a 16 GB version if you have a 32 GB phone!

Well folks,
I have an LG G3 D855'm having a problem during the restore process via the LGFLASH TOOL, follow the tutorial step by step over when it will begin restoring is no more than 2% and always the error message "retry", has changed the usb cable and the error still persists, you will not have to help me?

Not sure if it works from download mode. Maybe try from recovery mode.

I'm finding some difficulty to download this firmware, so googled and only found via Mega anyway after downloading extract command when content is asking for a password? I do not know what password is! Do you have a link to download this firmware D855 V10h-TWN-XX?

I haven't seen any Brazilian ROMs and I'm not sure if flashing another region would affect 4G reception or not.
Your best bet is to try via the LG PC suite (link with tutorial in my previous post) or get the KDZ for you phoe from LG site:

You just need to replace the red text in the link with your IMEI (it is on the box or invoice).

Please help me! I want to go back to the stock rom but it won't let me :(

I tried to install a custom rom from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/opt.../vupmp-g-pro-sg3-v3-0-final-lg-g-pro-t2867783
But now I am stuck in a boot loop i think ( it won't do anything but showing me the lg sign )
I tried downloading the kdz file but there isn't 1 site for the Dutch one @ NLD/Netherlands (tbh there is but all the links are down)
I can't boot into the cwm either and I also can't do hard reset...
Can anyone tell me what to do?

I found a sollution for this.

Put your phone in download mode "Hold the VolumeUP + VolumeDOWN Button and plug in the usb cable from your device to your pc [DON'T PRESS THE POWER BUTTON], let it install the drivers. ( To be sure it found you'r drivers, you should press on : Install Drivers
Once you installed your driver of the e98x ( mine is e986 ) Press on Extra functions - Upgrade-error recovery.
Make sure it found your device and make sure you are connected to the internet "IT WONT WORK WITHOUT INTERNET CONNECTION"
Launch it and it will reset your phone to new ( it did for me )
Don't get mad if you lose you're data T_T this worked for me so it should work for you to

Nope, aint working since it says that my battery isn't fully charged. but i even tried the battery of a friend of mine and it says the same..

are you able to enter into the recovery by pressing pOWER + VOLUME UP ? the device must be turned off and to be sure, pull battery and charging cable off and put battery back to do the pressing combo.

you told that u cannot boot into cwm which sounds pretty serious...

how do you get into the recovery mode?
please do not mistake cwm and recovery mode, because cwm is your recovery mode.
so please tell what steps you were using so that we can help you

I also tried that while I took out my entire battery but the same results

Ehm guys, I would like to know how to get my phone back to the stock image. I am still stuck on the error which says my battery is empty when I try to restore it but I quess it is because my phone thinks it is en E980 while it is an e986
Or it is because I flashed Madmacks kernel or smthing. Any solutions? :C I just wanna go back to the stock image D:

1. connect ur phn to ur pc and install flashtool from step 4.
2.install drivers of ur mbl
3.download the kdz firmware file u want from here http://www.lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=25
4.now follow the steps provided in the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2797190
5.its better to choose cse flash as i did that(when i chosen normal flash,the update stopped saying some error.so disconneted my net connection and tried again.it worked)
6.if u follow the above steps correctly,ull get ur phn back within 6 minutes.
(sorry for my english) and please let me know if ur phn is back.

Unfortunately I don't have the 986 and didn't catch that was your specific model. If you're in a bricked mode already and have access to your original FW then its worth a shot for recovery. YMMV

make sure you have your internet connection disabled when you start LG Flash Tool and that you are using Windows 7, i dont know if it will work on windows 8, but im sure it wont work on winXP.

[Q] Weird Bricked please help.

I have really searched and searched whatever i could but could not achieve any thing sorry for opening a new tread but i am really desperate for fixing my G.
So to start i was on Art Mod v7 and i saw that he posted a black theme so i installed it after installing some system stop responding what i guessed that it might be i didn't wipe cache, well i did that and got into soft brick, i am not blaming him for any thing it was all me , so i should have flashed new kdz but i didn't do that i flashed teenybin Files i dont know why i did that but i did resulted in a different kind of brick.
So problem is i have fastboot i have download mode but device some times get detected on download some times it doesn't when it did i tried flashing kdz through lg kdz flasher but resulted in continuous operation break also no driver is detected in fastboot and more over no recovery as it is in secure boot. I am a noob so please do bear my questions.
do kindly help LGOG is in continous bootloop more to add.
some what LGNPST detects phone in download mode the same application given with teenybin.

I had trouble to flash kdz on my device from Windows 8.1 64bit. The flash would freeze after some time and nothing would happen. Try it maybe on another computer but after installing all the needed drivers.
Which software do you use to flash the KDZ file?

Win 7.1 well i know it freezes and for me it usually unfreezes after the kdz unpacks

I used the LG Flash Tool 2014 to flash the KDZ file

PhoneMode: CS_Emergency
It took me a few tries to get it working, it always stopped at 10% giving some silly error. I dont remember exactly what it was but after few tries it all went okay.

seems to be device is recognized in download mode because its asking for drivers like mako drivers
error what i am getting is
please disconnect the cable from the phone in order and remove and connect the battery
power on the cell phone and press the restart button to resume update
if lg support tool is stopped abnormally try with (options)-(upgrade recovery) in tool menu
so shall i do or there is an alternative?

I'm sorry but I really have no more ideas on how to help you. I did not have similar problems, I had a problem when my phone didn't want to boot anywhere except download mode. But the flash went through after a few tries.
Maybe you should try to flash it on a different computer? Install drivers and everything again and try to flash again. There may be a problem with drivers or something

I have the same problem, at around 10% of flashing i get the same error:

What did you end up doing? I've been trying for weeks to unbrick my phone i even took it to 3 cellphone repair guys in my town and no one knows how to unbrick it.
Please get back to me! Im stuck.

Bootloop, download mode and TWRP not working

I flashed Fulmic rom for my G3 D855 today. Everything was well when I discovered until I discovered, that camera app is not showing. The fix was to download the fix from Fulmics app and flash it via TWRP. I downloaded the fix and rebooted to install the fix. After reboot I got stuck in bootloop, when I try to access recovery, it goes to TWRP first logo and stays there. Nothing happens. When I try to access download mode, it shows the first download mode logo and stays there. Computer detects the phone in device manager as "LGE Android MTP Device". LGUP shows model as "Unknown". Cant do nothing more. Every help is appreciated.

Are you sure you flashed the fix ? Because it seems like you flashed something else that messed up your device

I downloaded the fix, then tried to install it via twrp. But twrp didn't start. So I ran AutoRec again to reinstall TWRP which seemed to go well. Forgot to mention this on first post. After reinstalling TWRP the problems occurred.

-can´t enter download mode ? (volume up and connect to pc)

Can't enter twrp, just shows TEAMWIN logo with blue background and stripes. Nothing more happens.
Download mode text shows up, pc makes connection sound but I dont know what to do after that. I tried using LGUP but that showed that model is "Unknown".

Ah, try lg flash tool 2014 or lg flashtool (and a tot file), find a thread by hyelton (lg g3 get back to stock), this will help you

I have tried this method also. Every time at 4% it says, error, remove battery and then reconnect and turn on phone. After that, connection with pc is lost.
Also, when I try to get to Download Mode, it should go then to Firmware update screen to? Am I right about that? If so, then it doesn't go to Firmware update screen.
But I tried it with a kdz I had in my computer and had used before. Downloading .tot file atm.

did you change the port to com41?
oh, youre downloading the .tot file now, yeah just use the lg flash tool like the dude in the video says it should work if you can enter download mode and it detects the phone, just follow the steps i did it like 2 days ago

it seems to have stopped in LG Flash Tool, where it is saying "Waiting for connection". It has been so for 15 minutes now :crying:

did you watch the whole video? try to remove the cable and then put it in a few sec

i didn't find a video but a text and pics tutorial which also stated to remove the cable which i did. The "Waiting fo r Connection" text appears after I remove the cable.

are you using a original lg cable? maybe try a diffrent usb port? if youre using a 3.0 port it might not work.

Original cabel yes, tried another one also. Tried another usb port to, for some reason, it doesn't go to download mode in one port.

Also it stays in download mode screen, not Firmware update screen. I don't know if this affects anything.
