Hey all. So basically I recently purchased the H815T Australian optus model. It was initially on Lollipop but updated to MM & I need root so I can restore all my data from my previous device but seems I need to unlock the bootloader. Unfortunately it couldn't be done because the H815T isn't supported on the LG unlocking website. Is there another way to unlock the bootloader or rooting it? Please help guys, I really need to retrieve my data but can't do so till there is a method to root. Or would I have to downgrade to Lollipop & root? I'd immensely appreciate some assistance with this, cheers.

no bootloader unlock yet....
you need to be on LP.
but... you also need to know if you can downgrade. i for instance cant. there antirollback version you need to find out . if you can..

Thanks for your help. I really enjoy being on Marshmallow so don't really want to downgrade. Thankfully I got most of my whatsapp messages through google drive backup & most of the other apps did have some form of cloud storage. I'm gonna stick to MM till a rooting method does eventuate.
Need help unlocking my bootloader so that i can acquire root access. I have done & know extensively literally everything else possible with pc & android devices but i have yet to unlock a bootloader or flash roms...please help i dont wanna try it without having an expert guiding me thru it cuz im unsure if the method varies from device to device. Thanks

So I want to unlock my bootloader (E6833) and install TWRP and root my phone but I couldn't find any helpful threads explaining the process I read alot of posts but none of them helped me so please can someone help me doing it? Like tell me what to do step by step bcuz I'm a lil noobie
And if someone can help me do it and backup my drm keys I would be very thankful

Check if your bootloader unlocked allowed: yes or no in service menu
