Hi,
I am enjoying my HTC M8, but I've got one issue, OTG support seems to be limited. USB drives, mouses and keyboards work fine, but for some reason I can't get a gamepad/controller to work. They show no response at all. The lights turn on, but that's it. However, it was detected and working (after creating driver) with USB/BT Joystick Center. So I thought I might be missing a driver, but without succes. I have tried multiple .ko and .kl files and both my Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 and Thrustmaster GPX LightBack controllers. They work fine on other Android devices and of course in Windows, both platforms plug and play.
I am using a custom ROM which maybe is the problem, but I had the same issue with my old rom. I have never tried it with the stock rom and my device is S-ON. I asked the delevoper of the rom but he has no idea.
Anything I'm missing or doing wrong? Thanks in advance!
Try the APP Sysaxix Controller.

The Sixaxis app is for Playstation controllers. Normal OTG controllers should be plug & play but they aren't in my case. Thanks for the tip though!
Bump, I really would like to start playing games again (it's been a while since my Galaxy S3)
Bump again, please c:

Welp. It's still not working even after flashing the stock kernel of the phone.

My phone software in the office used to save voicemails as wav attachments that I could play natively in ICS by hitting the Play button in the attachments tab. I upgraded the phone system and now it uses mp3 which is more universal and was excited about. This way I don't have to keep telling people who have older versions of Android to use RemoteWave to listen to voicemails.
Now my GNex can't play the mp3 attachments inside the email app. I have to save the file and then open root explorer, browse to the file and manually open it. So it can play the file, it's not that it's in some uncompliant mp3 codec or a different codec with an mp3 extension. I just never get the option to even play the file which tells me that the email.apk doesn't know how to handle the .mp3 or maybe the music player isn't properly registered to play it. Can someone point me in the right direction?
I had the same problem. Install this from the market:

Thanks, I already have software that can play them, I just want to use the stock player and avoid a 3rd party app. I'm looking for a setting or something that can be reset.

So after searching and searching I broke down and tried it and it doesn't work It is not listed in the list of applications to open the mp3 with from within the stock email app.
I ones saw a youtube video in which someone was playing a super Nintendo game on his sensation with an emulator and controlling it with a Bluetooth controller.
I want to know if its possible to play 2 player games like Mario-kart aswell?
In other words....can you connect 2 Bluetooth controllers at the same time?

Been looking at various threads on how to improve the memory of the Nexus 7:
Cloud storage is an excellent solution, I've been using Megacloud for a week now a can't fault it,
(8gb free storage + bonus when you download the app to yr Nexus).
But I saw a thread relating to USB OTG, and this app is exactly what I've been looking for!
No need to root and latest update includes the option to save to internal memory!
Take a look....................

well i saw an hp laptop running android with a trackpad... there was a mouse pointer on the screen as well... so i tried connecting a usb mouse (real cheap one.. would be approx. 1.8 USD) and voila a mouse poiter appeared on the screen and i can use the mouse like on pc... i am attaching the pics
And what's the reason now to open new thread ? You think no one knew that before ? it's realyl normal if you connect a mouse that there appears a pointer

You can even connect USB Keyboards and USB joysticks.
If you want to connect keyboard and mouse at once, use a powered usb hub .

You can try Team Viewer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLNdB6AapSE. I have not personally tried it though.

I have, and very useful. I installed it on my parents phones because they sometimes call me and don't know how to do something. I tell them to open the app and I log in and bam! I'm using their device
Link to app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teamviewer.quicksupport.market
This is the best app for rooted users
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.bbqdroid.bbqscreen&hl=en
it has more FPS and more fast as compared to Teamviewer.
not compatible with windows XP + TeamViewer gives me a late screen (2 to 3 seconds ! so i can't play games with it )
Any other apps cheers ??

I think he means a direct link to the phone, like the option on some newer TV models which have screen mirroring for using apps and playing games, rather than just taking control of the phone via remote clients which is usualy very laggy.
I think this would be a great option and theoreticaly it should be possible as PC systems are quite configurable.
Hardware Solution instead
That's what I use to either play games or watch youtube on normal TV oder PC monitor:
HDMI adapter
(No software solution indeed, more a solid one)

Works great for me one thing you will notice is that The quality will be slightly lower then on your device but your looking for a flawless stream. It's not choppy by any means but seems to be the best I have found at the moment. Great for games.
