30C has the February security update as well as more code from the LG V10.
Xpirt wrote a small changelog here.
I recommend updating to V30C.

Exactly what i needed to know. Thank you
beware ...
There appears to be a bluetooth related problem with 30C. I have a garage door opener app which uses bluetooth - works fine on 30B, does not work (most of the time) on 30C. I'm going back to 30B.

Hey All,
I've just got a Dual-SIM LG G3 D858-HK and it shipped with Kit-Kat... When I check for an update it advises there is no new update (No Lollipop) :crying:
I really hope that the D858-HK is going to get a stock rom which is 5.0 or 5.1.
Have I missed something? Can anyone help?
Thx
DK

You can t marshmallow roms now, which work by flashing via twrp
It has had Lollipop (5.0) for nearly a year. Sometimes it does not show up as an OTA update. Use the LG Mobile Support Tool on your computer and keep the country as Hong Kong for latest updates.
Marshmallow (6.0) for D858HK was released last week and is available if you choose your country as Hong Kong in the LG Mobile Support Tool.

Hello,
I have an unlocked LG G3 bought from Amazon UK.
It is currently on Android 5.0 and I was waiting long for 5.1 or 5.1.1 but it seems it won't be updated soon automatically.
Can I manually update to 5.1 or 5.1.1? Does anybody know where should I download the official firmware?
I know the website for all Samsung firmware but not sure of the LG one.
Software version of my G3 is V20i-EUR-XX.
Thanks.
As soon as 5.1(5.1.1) or newer version is available(at all for the g3) you can download it either from your carrier or when the OPEN ones receive it. Currently the g3 doesn't have 5.1(5.1.1) or newer available at all.

Ah all right, I thought there is 5.1 for G3 but my specific version did not get it yet.
Thanks.
I dont think G3 will get 5.1.1 id say we will wait a very long time and they will go straight to 6.0 after the G4 gets its update.
Hi this may sound dumb, and sorry if it is.
I have a LG G3 running 4.4 KitKat when lollipop came out I upgraded but I did not get on with it so I went back to 4.4 and waited for marshmallow, now that's almost here.
"My question is" will I need to upgrade to lollipop and then to marshmallow OR will it just update strate to marshmallow ??????
Many Thanks Paul
It's LG D855 in the UK and not tied to a network.

I think it will require you to OTA update to Lollipop first and then update to Marshmellow
But if you want to skip that you can always install Marshmellow manually when the KDZ comes out for your variant in the UK
The answer to this is yes. I was running stock KK 4.4.1 and I got fed up with waiting for my MM update so I used this (http://www.droidviews.com/install-marshmallow-kdz-lg-g3-d855-using-flash-tool/) it took me about ten minutes and was so easy I'd wish I done it weeks ago. But before I did I update to LP first as I didn't know if some code was used from LP in MM, so I done the OTA update to LP first and by doing I found 4 other updates waiting to install. So I would be still waiting in till the end of time for my OTA MM update. So I would suggest this kzd update to anyone even amateurs. My G3 D885 is now running 6.0 and haven't found any problems yet.

So how many people got the update?
I got mine marshmallow via flashing. Lg probably won't roll up marshmallow via ota. I didn't got any notifications about upgrade.

I got the update via LG Support Tool you should try it too.
I already have it. Its just better to flash yourself marshmallow ROM because of delay.
Flashed it to now moms H440N on release day she is happy with phone, and it isn't laggy as it was sometimes before on LP... So far I can say that battery is awesome (~2 days with no root, using WhatsApp on WiFi and 4G/3G, YouTube for ~20 min daily and of course calling+texting)
This update is great 11/10 would recommend it to everyone. The improvements are massive.
I got the OTA update for the Baltics, but will wait for root before updating. Several apps I really need are root dependant.

LG H420 Marshmallow (6.0)
Someone can tell me if the LG Spirit H420 will receive upgrade to Android 6.0 ?
yes new update much better than 5.0 , battery so much improved and much faster than LLP
@Thyago Vergueira well bro i can't answer you .... :/ try LG Support Tool... LG Spirit H420 has different hardware
I've got the notification for OTA update a few weeks ago but didn't apply:
1. OTA will no work because of a bad unroot that marked my device as having been rooted which prevents OTA update
2. Still no root method for Marshmallow
For 1. I could update with official LG Update Tool as I did previously, must be done as full recovery or fix. can't remember the exact option.
For 2. from what I've read in MM this has to be done with custom bootloader
So as we still have a locked bootloader I guess in a near future I won't be updating to MM

Can't you update using LGUP?
Or flash clear android 5.0 with LG flash tool, then update it with OTA?
Try! There must be some way.

I'm running an LG G4 model number LG-F500K that I bought in Korea (on the KT network), and I still don't have Android 6. Last I remember, Poland was getting the update last year October... the last update I received was in January, and it was just a minor update. Is there any good reason I'm still sitting on Android 5?

You probably have been only checking for OTA in your settings correct? I had same issue on G3, it said no updates available when Marshmallow was released long time ago so I had to use LG update tool in order to get 6.0 update
Quick question here does the korean model of G4 has any bootloop (ILAPO) issue ? Any reported ? Or is it all 505 to 509?
