High battery usage when airplane mode? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6

For some reason there is very high battery usage when I use airplane mode and turn off sync.
Shouldn't it be the opposite?

Samsung i780/Backlight dims&phone enterns flight mode on low battery/

When the battery meter reaches 10% the backlight automatically dims and there is no way to switch it on again. Is very frustrating because it basically forces you to either charge or change the battery before it's completely empty.
Also bellow 10% the phone enters in flight mode.
Any ideeas on how to overide that?
Thanks

Anyone run in Power Saver mode all day ?

Just curious, for extreme phone users during the workday, has anyone tried using the M8 all day on 'Power save' mode ? Not the extreme mode, but the regular Power saver ?
How much does this mode save on battery life, compared to not using it ? But my typical settings, are no GPS, no Bluetooth, set screen to 50% - 75%, Greenify set to hibernate a lot of background apps.

How to increase max brightness on power saving mode?

I found that I get better battery life if I keep power saving mode on during my daily use, problem is that it lowers the screen brightness too low sometimes even when slide to max brightness. Is there a way to retain my brightness on normal mode when I am in power saving mode?

You can try lumos brightness manager but you will no longer be able to use the slider in the quick menu.
You may want to try the app "Night Screen" as well.

Missing deep sleep :(

I noticed that mobile doesn't go to deep sleep during the night :crying: it consumes 6-9% (wifi off/on and net also same situations) batteries in 6-7Hrs my old G6 uses only 1-3 %(net on, wifi on, AOD off) anybody has noticed same?

Moderate power saving mode with background data on

Putting my s20+ on moderate power saving mode turns off background data as well. Any way to get background data activated on this case.
I'm overall happy with my battery getting 7 to 8hrs SOT. If I'm able to save more from reducing cpu I'll touch 10 hours

You can turn off battery optimization for the apps which needs to fetch data in the background.
Dont think there is an outright feature to enable background data universally in medium power saving mode.
Edit: 7 to 8hrs of SOT? Whatz your screen brightness level?
Thanks. It's on manual generally at 30 to 40% depending on background lighting. Most of unused apps in deep sleep, no facebook app. Easily get 7 to 8 hours SOT of heavy usage

Afaik there is no way to enable background data in power saving mode, because that is the primary way power saving mode serves its purpose.
I routinely get 7-8 hours SOT on 96 Hz and auto brightness without using power saving mode. But I disabled a lot of stuff that I don't use.
