Anyone use zimly for music? I've got a problem...

Hey fellow bladers.
I was unhappy with the default music app, as the playback was always choppy, and this is the only device i can use as a portable music player.
So i searched around the appstores and tried a few alternatives out, and came accross zimly, which plays pretty seamlessly, and the interface is really nice.
The problem im having is that some of the time when i select a song, it swipes to the 'now playing' screen as it should, but then immediately swipes back and doesnt play.
Can anybody else replicate/have this problem? I've looked on zimly's 'get satisfaction' but its all out of date.
Once its up and running it works fine, but i'd rather it worked right the first time.

Youtube doesnt play properly?

Hello, well I tried recently to listen to music from youtube ay my phone
but youtube doesnt play the music properly, I mean...
The song doesnt play smooth, sometimes it just stucks and come back fast, but still can notice this stucks
and it is very annoying.
If needed, im using ARHD 9.1.0 and faux 6m kernel
what's wrong?

Google Music Issue

Since the last update, google music player will just stop playing. i will be in the middle of an album (local) and it just will stop playing. It wont change songs or albums. It just goes dead until it decides to work again...any1 else having this issue?

I have seen this and I believe I have read other reports of it as well. It started after the last update. I have rolled back to the previous version.

I'm having the same issue. Thought it was just a conflict with the custom Rom I'm using. But I hear people are having the same issues on stock Jellybean too. So it has to just be the app.

They really need to fix this, I'm having the same issue. Music just stops out of the blue and doesn't want to start back.

same issue here.. I've been using Pandora until the next update.. I may just roll mine back if they take to long to get this issue fixed..

Google Music stops after three songs
I'm using Google Music for streaming. It stops after three songs and won't work again until I reboot. I'm using the Odex Blue Rom, latest version 1.7. I deleted the application from the system using Root Explorer and then downloaded it as an app. It still stops. I agree it must be the application as Pandora will play and not stop. It's a real pain because now I have to move my songs down to the S3 and find another player. So much for the cloud!
****SOLUTION****
DOWNLOADED old Google Play Music and it works. Deleted the version I have on my S3 (the latest version from the Google Play store). Googled "Google Music Player apk" and found a 4.1 version. Downloaded the 4.1 apk and installed. It worked. Played for over one hour with no stops from the Google cloud. Then I went back to Google Play Store and said download the latest version. But all I wanted to do is check the box that says don't automatically update and then I closed the install. I don't know how to get it not to automatically update any other way.

I've been having this issue also, sort of. I lose sound when playing music from rocket player or music player, song time counter keeps moving but no sound. Just out of curiosity are you guys having problems with other players or just Google streaming? I had this issue even before 4.1.2.

I just flashed android revolution and the elemental kernel in pursuit of battery life, but I'm having a very strange problem playing music now. randomly, my music later goes silent. it will still appear add though it's playing music, still show on the status bar and everything, but no noise. at first I thought it was just rocket media player, that's been my go to music player lately. but I tried downloading shuttle and using that, only to find I started having the same problem with that! I honestly am at a complete loss and don't have any idea what the problem is. I would greatly appreciate any help, thanks in advance!

I have Android Revolution HD ROM
and for some reason sometimes it will play music and other times it wont.
Pandora works 100% of the time.
But the music player will play music maybe 20% of the time.
I have to keep clicking forward or rewind continuously for it to play the song I want (which only works if it's the only song in the queue, or else hitting forward and back multiple times skips it to other songs)
Anyone else having this problem?
It's really irritating and I have everything else that works besides that.

Not exactly the same problem you're having but, on google play music, often if I play a song and press the back button the song will stop and start all over again. I'm using insert coin but had it on arhd too. Might be a bug in the app.

You are correct, after some investigation, I have found out that HTC Music app is kinda bugged with custom ROMs I believe.
Or just mine.
Google Music works fine.
But I really like the HTC Music because it downloads album art and lyrics!!!

Anyone have a custom ROM without these music problems??

Why not download PlayerPro. Does the same thing and imo is better and more customisable.

If you install the Harman Kardon mod, you must also install the firmware.
Just reflash the ROM and don't select that mod.
