I couldn't find a thread for the already, so if there already is, I'll move to it for this question.
Has anyone tried and succeeded in getting the Google Phone APK installed and operational without crashes on any ROM with the new 8.0 firmware with Sense UI?.
Before I upgraded to Oreo it worked fine on Viper ROM.

Hey guys,
I am running am running LOS 16.0 on a Samsung Galaxy S5 (klte). Recently I encountered an error when trying to update an app via the play store: "This app is no longer compatible with your device. Contact the developers for more info." So I did just that and they told me, that the kernel (3.4.112-lineageos-gf381f40) is no longer supported.
I have two questions:
1) Why is the kernel version important for an app? Without having done much research, I had always thought of the OS being the layer between app and kernel, whereby only the OS version is important for an app to run.
2) Can I update the kernel? If so, how?
Hi all,
I was wondering if anybody could assist with helping making an APK work for the Sony Bravia A8F.
Zwift is the app, I have the latest version of the APK to sideload. Unfortunately it's not signed to work with Android TV yet, so it comes up with the error "app not installed"
Does anybody know a workaround?
Thanks
Cool to see this post made it to XDA. I am facing same problem - owning one of newest and most powerful Android TVs and not being able to run Zwift on it directly..
Hello all,
Here is the problem as I understand this - Samsung has an feature in their apps to identify compatible devices and runs special features for them.
These features are not compatible with custom ROMs on those devices. Error message is a bit misleading there. There is a general solution by using root and lying to the app about build.prop. I do not want to root my phone.
However I know from my problems with Samsung Health on root that there is a patched version you can install and setup a profile.
Once you do, the app can be updated and it works normally.
Do you guys know if such apk exists for Gear Wearable? That app works fine on Lineage 17.1 on my Sony XA, but here it will not.
I do not want to use stock, but I also need this app.
Hi all, I'm looking at a way to install a custom rom on my Nokia 5.1.
It's kinda slow so I wanted to either downgrade it to Android 9 or to install any other custom rom. Does anybody have a working guide to point me to? Unfortunately there are a lot on the web that simply don't work.
Thank you a lot!
Nokia did not share the device tree with us, therefore no ROMs are available
I also got automatically updated to 10 and it started choking itself, so I uninstalled every evenwell app via APT and switched from default launcher to "Rootless Pixel Launcher"
