5.1.1 best way to hide root? - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Q&A, Help & Troubl

I had to unroot my p600 running 5.1.1 because a few apps that I use now have root check and they refuse to let me use them unless I'm unrooted. (It pisses me off, and I won't reveal the apps since they may find this post if they decide to do a Web search for their app name. Just know that there are no alternatives for these apps).
What is the best and fool proof way to stay rooted, but make apps who check for root think you're unrooted?

I think that with wannam xposed you can do it.

Can you give more details? Last I checked (it's been a while), Xposed wasn't actually available for Lollipop.
What module is needed and is best to use?

Xposed for lollipop & marshmellow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
Xposed for stock rooted samsung ROMs http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960
The first one will cause a bootloop on stock samsung ROMs. The 2nd is an unofficial variant that is supposed to fix that issue. There is a module titled "RootCloak" that is compatible with lollipop and marshmellow rooted devices. Hope that helps :good:

If 'RootCloak' doesn't work (it doesn't seem to work on all apps) there is something out there called 'MinMinHide' and that works really well. I use both and so far every applications I need to hide from Root is successfully hidden.
Best regards.

You need to root using cf-auto-root. Xposed framework is an app using which you can make a lot off cool customizations to the tablet. Framaroot does not work with Note 8.

Kit Kat 4.4.2 Screenshots

I'm not willing to download the Kit Kat update until we figure out a way to root (I use unlimited data on my wifi tether - so I need root)... that sounds selfish... Anyway! It's killing me knowing that Kit Kat is here and I cannot take the update!
Will someone that has taken the update PLEASE post some screenshots of the update so those of us that are selfish, I mean waiting to take the update, can see what's changed? Thanks in advance.
Here is the new lockscreen.
Attached are a handful of screenies I've taken.
SistemUI.apk
Someone in stock that I can spend the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk? From already thank you.
Hi
After updating to KK I am still having Amazon and Verizon crap apps. I read somewhere that it has been removed from KK. Is it true?

So all the bloat is gone =)
I think i have to let the new install settle in before i can say much about battery life...
Once i am on wifi it shows 1x (I am assuming some sort of data for text and such)
Once i am off wifi it goes to H+, 3G, 2G depending on area.

I'm confused..should I take the OTA or not ?

I'm not rooted, running stock out of the box 5.0.2 tmobile us 64 gb edge.
If i take the OTA to 5.1.1 with the latest build, will i still be able to root and flash twrp with a rom etc?
I am not new to odin but new to the s6 way of things. S5 was so easy to root.
if youre not rooted go ahead and do it..
i just updated and lost root.. im missing my root!!... XPOSED ... NOOOOO!!!!:crying::crying::crying::crying:

I 2nd the XPOSED. That and adaway are the two biggest reasons I root. That and to remove bloat

I have taken every OTA so far and they have all worked with out TWRP posted by Aou.
I haven't yet tried it on the latest firmware, OH6, but there is no reason it shouldn't work. Just Odin flash twrp after downloading a custom ROM to your internal memory and then immediately boot to twrp and you should be able to install any S6 ROM provided it is bundled with the unikernel or if you flash a kernel that supports the ROM and the G925T.
And as for Xposed you'll need to flash a deodexed ROM to get it working. There are several choices out there, Xtre Sto Lite is a popular one.
Hmm will try that..
Xtrestolite is a good rom, but you will not have VoLTE and WiFi calling,
There is one rom that is deodexed/debloated with VoLTE and WiFi calling. . RAPTURE is the name g920t
But dev left development. . And it's of8.

depends on the Rom developer if they can get it working - stock roms it will not work
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
Known issues:
- Bootloops on Samsung stock ROMs. That's due to Samsung's changes to ART. There are unofficial builds that work around this by deodexing and adjusting the ROM.

I'm running stock 5.1.1 (OH6) with Xposed Lollipop and everything is fine. I have only experienced bootloops when using modules which were not compatible with xposed for lollipop. They are few and far between, though. If you stick to the big name modules (Wanam, Minminguard, Xuimod, Amplify, Powernap, etc) you won't experience any issues with it. You just need to stick to the Wanam's version of Xposed which is located here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3524397&d=1446204696).
Download his uninstaller here, just in case you do encounter a bootloop.
