Am I bricked forever? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I flashed the latest nightly of Cyanogenmod and my phone rebooted mid flash and I can't boot into recovery or download mode but my computer still recognises the phone when I plug it in. Can I still unbrick it? And how? I have an LG G3 d855

Try it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/boot-verification-failed-secure-boot-t3337280

Hard Bricked D850PR

So the story goes as this:
ATT G3 accidentally flashed a D851 rom... phone rebooted now its a hard brick
I have tried every method to restore it to stock (lg flashtool 2014 and old flash tool method, tried enter TWRP nothing happened)
My phone is detected as it were in Download mode, but it doesnt let me flash anything.
I downloaded the "generic" LGUP8794.dll and tried to flash stock D850 and stock D851, jeez I even tried to flash LS990 stock rom... same error every time.
Downloaded stock D850PR20A_01.kdz and tried to flash it through Flashtool 2014 and just getting error...
I'm really out of options now.
I dont have warranty so its out of question the "return my phone" thing.
Thanks in advance for any reply or suggestion.
PD: I get no "QHUSB" or "fastboot" mode either.
Try using a different usb port. LG flash tool hates USB 3.0 so use USB 2.0

I have tried with 3 different computers, one with XP, Win7 and win8.1
I never use USB3.0 unless its with a memory stick
Can you go into download mode??
Sent from my SM-N910F using XDA Free mobile app
No, No Download mode, but my phone is connected as it were in download mode.
My screen is good, I know cuz when i connect the usb without battery it lights up and shows an image of "missing batt"
No TWRP either
Any update on this? I just rooted my D850PR and then used AutoREC to install TWRP, then I turned it off to reboot but it never booted...it also lights up the display when connecting the USB cable without the battery but that's all it does

i cant believe there is no clear solution for the LG G3 brick.
There is a solution
I have faced this issue with my LS990. accidentally flashed D855 ROM then bricked. THere is a unbricking method which is very hard and you have to do it with patience.
Try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/unbrick-lg-g3-qhsusbbulk-qualcomm-9008-t3072091
You might want to short 2 pins of G3 motherboard. message me if this method didn't work.
Good luck matehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/unbrick-lg-g3-qhsusbbulk-qualcomm-9008-t3072091
I had that problem, flashed d855 rom on a d850pr, and it went into bootloop, but I just went into recovery, flashed a D850 rom and everything worked fine. I did have your problem once, but with a LG Optimus L2, I tried on windows 8 and 7 but the LGflashtool always stop with errors, until I tried on XP, i could restore it. (sorry for the english)

LG G3 stopped working after installing recovery

Today I was trying to install a custom rom, but I messed it up and had to reset it to stock rom.
After that I reseted it back to stock rom, I rooted my phone with Kingroot and used this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=b007.autorecd855 to install recovery. After that I powered off my phone and now it won't turn on. Already removed battery a plenty of times, when putting in the charger nothing happens, pc won't see it also.
The only moment when my phone lights up is when I remove my battery and put it in the charger, then it basically says that it's charging but with no battery in it. Also when removing the battery and connecting to my pc it only sees it as a unrecognizable device.
Suggestions on what I can do? IF not, poor me, gonna buy a new smartphone then.
Btw, I still have some garanty. Maybe it's worth sending it to the support services.

You used wrong autorec install LP recovery to MM. Download MM version autorec from LG G3 Xda forum. Try flash back to stock or something else. Instructions are in LG G3 Xda forum if you search more. Sorry.

Hmm, I was really sure that I used the right one.
Anyway, how can I flash it again if I can't even get the lg logo to show, neither get him in download mode or that my pc recognises him?
Btw, I still have some garanty. Maybe it's worth sending it to lg.
If you have no access to any recovery mode, Fastboot or download mode.then use the method of Qualcomm 9008.btw your warranty is void because you have rooted device and messed with it.

I also had same issue and I'm also sure that I used the correct Autorec version.
I sent the phone to LG because the warranty is still valid.
I know how to fix this

i remember after 1 day of having this phone this happened this was likely caused by having the latest boot loader i remember this because i fresh installed the marshmallow kdz after that i installed autorec mm it told me to restart and my phone died there, however after spending 8 hours straight i found a solution the smart boot diagnostics tool can write an older version of the boot loader understand that your phone must be in the qdloader9008 mode, if your PC doesn't detect the phone make sure you install the drivers in the zip from the download install the 32 bit if on 32 bit system or install 64 bit on 64 bit system. Hey if you need assistance on doing this Download team viewer and i'll be more than welcome to help unbrick our d855

LG G4 brick (available recovery, adb sideload)

Hi guys. I need help. I have LG G4 LS991. The phone was not fully flashed and after a Hard Reset some sections were erased. It doesn't enter in Download mode. Without battery as qdloader 9008. With the battery, the phone tries to on, but freezes and reboots at different stages. But it enters to the recovery and it's possible to connect the phone as adb sideload. ZV6 firmware with root is set on the phone and Update package does not install. Any thoughts on this? There are chances to recover?
Use lg pc suite connect device to pc if it detects ur phone go to mobile device and then restore upgrade errors it will download the firmware so it will take so time follow the process and flash it ...this works 100% for g3 not sure about g4..there is no harm in trying rit hit thanks if it helps...mind if u had famous bootloop issue that is hardware related it wont fix it

help with LG G3 D855 very hard bricked

Hello
Yesterday I downgraded my phone from stock V30n to V30b, and then followed https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/root-twrp-marshmallow-d855-30b-t3286268 trying to root and install TWRP.
Rooting with kingroot went well, but AutorecMM looped endesly between "press button" and "flashing". Never rebooted or finished, just "press button" again.
I choose to reboot and from that point phone is totally dead. Doesn't boot in normal, download or recovery mode. Nothing ever on screen. No charge light. NOTHING detected in Windows 10 device manager. I know battery has some charge and also draws current from charger if connected.
My understanding after looking for G3 unbrick procedures is that bricked G3 should beep and be detected as something when conected to computer, even before the right driver is installed. Could someone confirm or deny this point?
Is there anything I can try before buying a new phone?
thanks!
Unbrink following a procedure like this, LG G3 is pretty much unbrickable.

LG G3 Cat.6 Bootloop and unknown device in Download Mode

Hi guys,
Please bear with me as I'm new to this scene.
My LG G3 Cat.6 (F460L) is currently stuck in bootloop, can't enter recovery mode as well but it can go through download mode but my PC won't recognize it (tried different usb cables and tried it on another PC, still no luck). I made an error when I was trying to flash twrp into recovery but accidentally flashed it to boot (I was quite unsure about what I did but I think I flashed a wrong version of twrp for recovery and tried to reflash the right version but accidentally flashed it to boot, if that made sense). I was able to get into the factory wipe screen and after pressing yes it goes right into bootloop again. Was also able to get into another screen with turn on, turn off and cancel options but I'm not sure what it does because it's all in korean. My PC can't recognize my device right before this happened so I think that explains why it also can't recognize it while in download mode. I saw something about Qualcomm stuff but I'm unsure as to how it is done (the shortpin part) and i don't think my PC would even recognize it as it can't even recognize my device in the first place (faulty micro usb port I guess). Any fix that you guys can think of? Thank you very much!
